Anybody home?

Echo .. echo .. echo .. echo

I am very close to giving up myself. Next week's episode promises to answer a lot of questions and JC should be returning soon, but unless they make some major changes this will be my last season, if it's theirs too.

I think this weeks upcoming episode will determine if I stick with this show because of this buildup to explaining something.. anything.....

One of the biggest problems this season has been the almost complete lack of Maia. Aside from that two-parter a couple of weeks ago, her screen time has been damn near nil. I don't know if Conchita Campbell is busy with other projects, or what, but I always found her to be one of the best characters on the show; her relationship with Skouris was one of the strongest qualities. The writers have not done a great job at filling that void. Cramming Killabelle down our throats has gotten quite tiresome.

I meant to say "if it is not their [last season] too."

This week wasn't that bad an episode, aside from the silly Shawn storyline. Giving Richard something to do was nice, as was having Summer back. The Burkoff and Tess storyline seems promising, and Isabelle only had 1 speaking scene.

I have three episodes unwatched still sitting on my tivo. This does not bode well.

After several weaks of ho-hum episodes, these past two have been really good. Now that Jordan is back, I'm sure we'll start to see some interesting things.

The last two have been great. Has anyone heard about a fourth season? The promo for next week said the "last two episodes of the 4400" and not the last two of the season. It kind of feels like they are wraping up the series. We have gone most of three years without any hint as to what the future held, and all of a sudden it is flooding in. My wife and I really enjoy the show, so hopefully it will be back.

Ratings for this season have been very strong, so barring a cast exodus, I'd imagine that both The 4400 and The Dead Zone are coming back. The last few eps have been excellent, and this season is finally taking on the "epic" feel I think they've been going for.

I thought last night's episode was excellent. Glad to see Collier back. I think he's exactly what's been missing from this show.

Once again, the 3rd-from-the-last episode of a season really turns it on. Great stuff. I always know that the show is great when it is over before I realize it. Great to see Jordan and Kyle back. Hell, it was even great for them to bring back Alana for her bit. It gives the story and show extra credibility that they aren't just writing characters off for the hell of it. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

"The war for the future will be fought in the past." - I love this line.

Exactly my thought. Gotta love the smackdown he laid upon Isabelle!

Looks like the trip to the O.C. did him some good. "Welcome to the 4400 Center, now get the hell out!"

Major reset button action.

Jordan back
Kyle back
Alana back (hopefully temporarily)
Isabelle gone (we think/hope)

Maybe the writers are reacting to some of the fans disappointment with the season.

Hopefully they'll take it one more step and start giving Maia some additional screen time. That's been my biggest disappointment with this season, I think.

Reading the positive comments here got me to finally give this episode a go. The JC stuff was pretty good, too bad the Diana side story was so clumsily handled. I think I've soured on this show too much to be truly won back, but I'm going to stick it out till the end of this season.

PS. It was cool to see Stargate SG-1 alum Tim McBeath, aka Harry 'King Arkhan The First' Maybourne.

Kyle is looking good. Prison must have agreed with him.
Diana is looking quite nice too.

Hmmm, I wonder if they gave him those initials for a reason. . .

I've never missed an episode in all the seasons yet, and I must say this season has certainly picked up these last few weeks. Jordan's presence alone just gives the show so much more heft. I wonder if the show will be returning for another season. . .

I'd imagine that both The 4400 and The Dead Zone are coming back
In the special features the producers talk about how they original saw the series as 100 episodes (with the 100th episode telling everyone that the 4400 where returned from the future)... it seems they skewed that a little bit, but other times they have said that the show is outlined for 5 seasons...

As far as Dead Zone though... I've been hearing a lot of rumors that next season will be the last (and it will be a trunicated episode order - 8 or so)...

This season has been a revolving door for many of the characters.

I almost expect the producers are saying:
"If you have some spare time, come in and shoot a scene. Don't worry, we are making up the plot based around everyones schedule."
