Well, now that I think about it...

I really don't think she's the kind of person that they'd recruit to go on the show. As mentioned, she's not intelligent enough to play the game with the same skill, and if they brought in a new member of chilltown, it would have to be someone good enough to top them.

There are two situations that I do see:

1) The producers selected Jen, then had her sitdown with Boogie and Will to go through her strategy. Boogie and Will determined that she wasn't smart enough to play the game the way they did, so they figured that she should try for a Janelle strategy (ditz in the beginning to seem unthreatening followed by skilled play after the alliances all broken down and people eliminated each other). If that's the case, she took the ditz approach too far in the beginning and made herself too much of a target.

2) Will and Boogie periodically talk to her in the house and give her tips on what she needs to do differently. I could see this because her gameplay dramatically changed after Week 3 and she started playing the game much better. I'm not sure if this would be fair, though, because Will and Boogie would have access to information the other houseguests don't (AP, diary room comments, etc) that could influence what they tell her to do.

Spoiler:
News of the day. Not game related but Eric fulfilled his vow to go streaking in the backyard. Jessica and Jameka are "mad" at him because he did it before they went outside.

Timber 08-14-07 08:59 PM

Why didn't they show Dick's speech? It was supposed to be a tear jerker.

Finisher 08-14-07 09:04 PM

There's an article on several sites that links Jen, Mike Boogie Malin and Dr. Will. Just Google "Jen Johnson and Mike Boogie." Here's an excerpt from said article:

""According to Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin, Big Brother All-Star Winner, Jen Johnson vacationed with both himself and Dr. Will Kirby, in Bermuda, at the end of this past May, and received coaching tips on the game.

“I am not saying she will definitely pull it off as there is only so much Chill Town can do from the outside but hopefully she will go a long way," said an optimistic Malin.

He went on to say that "She will definitely be Chill Town extended if she follows our coaching tips.”"

Jensamember = Jens a member (of Chill Town)

Bluelitespecial 08-14-07 09:09 PM

I honestly believe Jen is the smartest player in the house tonight convincing Jessica that Dustin is trying to keep Dick in the house which is total bullshit. You know "princess" sure did seem quite happy and safe sitting next to Dick for elimination this week, when he has a good chance of going home this week.

Timber 08-14-07 09:13 PM

I don't think Zach and Jen have the guts to go against the 5. If they do Dustin is gone. I just don't see it.

Bluelitespecial 08-14-07 09:18 PM

if they don't they will be sitting ducks once Dick and Danielle are gone.

Timber 08-14-07 09:21 PM

But if they go against them they might be targets before Danielle.

mwbmis 08-14-07 09:33 PM

Tonight's show was unfortunately predictable. Portraying Dick's actions on Saturday like he's a lovable scamp. For all of Danielle's whining about "fake people", she needs to look in a mirror if she wants to see a fake person. Are there other fake people in the house. Absolutely. Is she one of the fakest? Absolutely.

Well, America will certainly be evicting Dustin (not that he doesn't deserve it), but it would be nice if they were to show how truly bad Dick was/is.

Wouldn't matter. If the showed the real Dick on TV they'd have to show he real Dustin on TV and I'm positive that America would still dislike Dustin much more.

Bluelitespecial 08-14-07 09:37 PM

If Dick survives this week the "LNC" will fall, and hopefully that annoying little shit Eric will soon follow after Dustin.

There is no question that Dustin is an arrogant prick, but some of the things that Dick said and did to Dustin, Amber, and especially Jameka are so beyond the relm of acceptable behavior. Honestly, after some of the things he said I'm surprised there wasn't a physical altercation. If they hadn't had the HOH room to retreat to there probably would have been.

kayak99 08-14-07 10:32 PM

Time to chime in here. Eric has alienated the entire US and that is easily shown by the choices of instructions given to him. He is nothing but a sneaky prick and needs a special departure.

He's America's asshole if you ask me.

Dustin, well I think Joe should have stayed and Justin should have been pounded long ago. Wouldn't it be great if HE were voted off this week instead of Dick?

Dick went too far underestimating Dustins pansy group but he was not wrong nor was Danielle. She figured out Eric and that takes brains. Unfortunately Dick did not maintain alliances or his temper but I'll wager he gets fame out of this.

Jen of course will be getting a nice offer from Playboy!!

I predict Jessica will win this thing.

PacMan2006 08-14-07 10:53 PM

Good episode. Those with the live feeds, what is Jessica's mindset as of Tuesday? Is she still weary of Dustin and Eric?

I thought it was a slam dunk that Dick was gone. Now I don't know. Based on Tuesday's show, it would appear that Jameka, Amber would vote out Dick. But Danielle, Zach, and possibly Jen would vote for Dick to stay. Eric is the swing vote, and I think America would try to vote out Dustin. But even if not...would Jessica break the tie breaker by truly evicting Dustin?

ChrisHicks 08-14-07 10:59 PM

I'm going to call it now:

Spoiler:
I say Dick goes home this week. just a hunch.

lets see if if I guess right.

Patman 08-14-07 11:05 PM

There's a big possibility that Dustin goes home:

ED gets votes from Jen, Danielle, Zach
Dustin gets votes from Amber, Jameka

Eric's vote is really America's vote, and given how much America seems to want to screw Eric's game, I will venture that America will vote to boot out Dustin, and Ed stays in the house by a 4-2 vote. This will be the second time that both ED and Danielle were nominated, and neither one goes home.

Spoiler:
No, they're still good. Since Eric failed the task he went and talked to her immediately after the ceremony. He's planting seeds in case he has to evict Dustin though. On Sunday night Jessica and Zach had a long talk in the hammock. The end result of that talk is that Zach will vote however Jess wants him to, and, for now, he appears to be sticking to that (even in conversations with D/D). Zach is still on D/D side though. He just wants them to get Jess to come to him to change his vote. My sense is that he's leery of Dick, because Dick talks too much and gives up secrets so I don't think it would break his heart to see Dick leave. So as of right now, Dick would leave (either on Jessica's tie breaker vote or Jen's vote which is still a mystery). The real question will be what Eric does when he gets the edict to evict Dustin tomorrow. I think whatever he does he's going to at least try to not sell out Jessica in the bargain.

monkyskunk 08-15-07 12:32 AM

It might be...it could be...it is! Direct hit! Holy cow! That was one of hell of a last attempt by ED: needing a 5 pointer to overtake Dustin, ED comes through in the clutch. You couldn't have scripted it any better than that. I thought he was going to choke. I think I would have.

Hopefully America's choice is for Dustin, just to mess with Eric's game some more. I tried to get my votes in to make it happend, but I experianced some problems getting some of my votes accepted because the page wouldn't load after submitting my vote

BDLOU 08-15-07 07:17 AM

This Dustin nomination makes no sense for Jessica and that group. Why risk one of your own? They could have easily talked to Zach and said he is going up just as the pawn and he would have been fine with it. Even if he wasn't fine with it, who cares. He sucks at everything so he is no threat. I don't get the mistrust of Dustin either. If he was working with ED then why would he volunteer to be put up against him or Danielle? One of them has to go home. If he was really working with ED then he would have tried to convince Jessica to put anyone else up. Again this feels like producer involvement to keep things more interesting.

Patman 08-15-07 07:33 AM

Jess is trying to minimize the number of people who'll nominate her next week by putting Dustin up instead of Zach or Jen, given that her alliance has even odds for HoH chances this Thursday since Jameka and Jessica can't play for HoH. But in leaving the door open for ED to stay, Jessica now has 2 people who definitely won't trust her anymore (ED and Danielle) and are apt to put her up (payback is hell). Can Zach or Jen be trusted? No, but by not putting up Zach, Jessica has exposed herself as playing both sides (otherwise she would not be as concerned about Zach being "mad" at her for being put on the block).

Jen is a moran. She's gotten this far through pure luck and she doesn't see the bigger picture when making decisions. The only reason she was able to convince Jessica of anything is because Jessica is a bigger moran. I bet I could convince Jessica in under 15 minues that Amber is secretly running the house, that Jameka is a robot, and that Eric and Dick are gay lovers.

Hell, half the time I don't know if Jessica is being serious. When she makes comments like "ooh.. I'm so mad" her face and voice are so animated that it almost seems like a really, really, really bad actor in a high school play.

Bill Needle 08-15-07 09:52 AM

This whole season could be a reverse Joe Schmo. America's sneaky little shit might be the only real player -- as in America -- and the rest (everyone actually in the house) could be two-bit actors. Well, two-bit actor (or waitress/bartender, same thing) does describe most every BB or Survivor contestant. But it would go a long way towards explaining the day-after-day rampant idiocy and endless superficial drama going on. America is being set up Joe Schmo style, when they trotted out every reality TV cliche, amped it up to 10, and ran it past poor old Matt Kennedy Gould to see just how much he would buy. Well, I vote to evict "Shenanigans!"

mwbmis 08-15-07 10:23 AM

America's Choice...

Spoiler:
No surprise, Dustin. Eric spent all night working the possibilites (and flirting) with Jessica. They even managed somehow to get in a 3 person alliance with Jen. I don't think we'll know what's going to happen until Eric talks to D/D to try to secure his and Jess's safety. My opinion, as much as dislike Dick, it's a low risk move for Jessica in terms of keeping people in the house that would be mad at her (though it would hurt her end game...if she even has one). Amber sucks. Jameka can't compete. Dustin's gone (in this scenario). D/D were never mad at Jess (Eric should still watch out though...and Eric would move WAY UP Zach's target list). Basically, America has saddled America's Player with a pretty much horrible move for him. If Dick leaves that fractures D/D and leaves the pompous Dustin as a gigantic target for Danielle, Zach and Jen. If Dustin goes then Eric is left as a huge target when there are no other targets to go after (and his winning HOH is a huge risk for him because America might just make him nominate Jessica).
