Can someone explain the sequester house to me?

This is my 1st season watching Big Brother.

Basically it houses the jury who will decide the winner when 2 players are left. They're usually "locked up" in a nice resort in Mexico by the beach. They do not have access to any media or tv until it's time to vote in the big finale

Meanwhile,

Spoiler:
It seems like Dustin has wizened up and now does not want to be put on the block. Both Amber and Jameka are volunteering for it. Why they just don't put up Jen bewilders me. Not all of them think that Dick is going to save Danielle. They think he will leave the noms the same. It won't be an option, but most of the girls (Jess, Amber, Dustin) want Danielle out over Dick.

Spoiler:

So take away one of your alliance's votes and put give the other alliance a vote back to make it 3-3? Obviously, the HoH swings it to the Jess-Eric-Jameka-Amber-Dustin (JEJAD) alliance, but they must be pretty cocky to think that everyone in their alliance will vote in line (especially with the history of "rogue votes" and, though they don't know it, with the AP, who might keep Dick). Just put up Jen or Zach and be done with it.

edit....

Spoiler:

I just mentioned it to the Mrs. and we believe that, although Mike's move in targeting Dick was the worst move in the history of the game so far, putting Dustin, Jameka, or Amber on the block would be the worst team-move in the history of the game, thus making it a worse decision than Mike's (because it effectively dooms 5 people instead of 1.

Where do they find these people?

OK, I will have to see how that plays out but what's the point if they can't see what's going on?

Worse than Marcellus failing to use the POV on himself?

Each new evicted houseguest goes to the sequester house and brings a tape with them of what went on in the house (though it's an edited account of things, the evictees are free to talk about what went down in the house up to their eviction).

Kaysar giving up on a HOH comp and letting Jennifer win the HOH on BB6 after she promised not to put him up, and then she put him up and he went home was a pretty pinheaded move also.

Yes. Mike went from non-target and not nominated to evicted for doing something completely pointless and unnecessary.

Fixed (the only justification I saw was if Kail was out of steam and about to drop anyway).

Agreed that's the dumbest move ever imo! :thmbsdwn:

PS She ws also a dispicable BITCH which made it worse

Groucho 08-13-07 10:38 AM

Daniele didn't promise that she wouldn't nominate Kail (in fact, she made a point of it). She just promised that Kail wouldn't go home (a promise she obviously couldn't guarantee).

Nothing will ever top that. Why would he not take himself off? It served no purpose, and he hadn't even packed. Classic.

She swore multiple times that Kail wouldn't go home. The way to guarantee that was to not nominate Kail.

Is the edited version the same as the network broadcast? That broadcast seems really biased. You know, it didn't show Amber's anti-semitic remarks, Dustin's rants, Eric's lies, etc.

We don't really know. They see the competitions, the nominations and the evictions. How much and what of the other stuff they see we don't know.

What Timber said

Judging from past seasons it looks very heavily edited.

Patman 08-13-07 10:58 AM

It would be funny if Big Brother would let the evictees watching the AfterDark version of the show each night as well.

The broadcast version eliminates stuff for all people. For instance last night's Dustin in the hot tub rant lacked any context at all. It made him look like a lunatic (which he is), but there was a reason. They also eliminated almost all of the truly abhorent stuff from Dick's kitchen confrontation with Jameka. Things like him calling her the "c" word multiple times and making crude and obsene references to physical and sexual things he was going to do to her. In contrast I would say that Jameka's worst stuff from that arguement made the air and by using the church organ they took great steps to help make her look like a fool. It's all edited.

Phod 08-13-07 12:02 PM

Dick is easily the most edited down houseguest. They show his "angry" rants sure, but they leave out all but the most tame of insults.

Spoiler:
I could be wrong but I think there is still a chance for dick, danielle, zach, and jen. Since Dick has won power of veto he will remove himself or danielle. If jessica is stupid enough to put jameka, Dustin or Amber in one of their places, and they think that Dick or Danielle will go home for sure. Jen, Zach, and either Dick or danielle's vote, plus Eric's vote if it goes against one of the LNC members. then they still have a fighting chance.

Spoiler:
Last night, Zach basically promised Jessica his vote this week. Since Zach is someone with limited options (Amber and Jameka don't like him at all...Jess only tolerates him, but he doesn't really know that and having him as a backup plan is a good idea for her anyway) it is a move that makes sense for him. The reason why Jess doesn't want to put up Jen is because Jen wins things, and she thinks nominating Jen will make her a Jen target. It will probably end up being Dick vs Dustin or Amber. If Zach keeps his promise it will at worst be 3-3 (poor Zach in that scenario because he'll be assigned the hinky vote), but I think Jen (and possibly Danielle) will evict Dick, too.

By the way, Jessica was America's Choice last night. After he got word Eric ran up there and talked to her really quickly for the next half hour or so (it was a frantic, panic filled conversation) then went back downstairs. He wasn't real happy because she offered to let him (and him alone) stay up there last night, and he had to give that up.

think its pretty funny how it went to trying to help AP in the very beginning to outright messing with him now...lol..
