Journeyman needs to be given a shot on another night. I'm not sure it will help but I don't want the show to go down without at least giving it a chance in another timeslot.
Then what night do you put it on? Switch Bionic Woman and Journeyman around and I doubt it'd get any better ratings. Sundays are out because of football, Tuesday is out because I doubt NBC would want to relocate Law & Order: SVU at 10 and it'd get killed against House at 9 and it'd have to compete against Dancing with the Stars at 8; Wednesday at 10 might be doable if Life doesn't work out but I think even that gets better ratings so why risk it; Thursday doesn't work even though ER is in its last season and Friday isn't a possibility unless they decide to can Friday Night Lights or Las Vegas.

I think Journeyman is done as NBC I think will try and salvage Bionic Woman... They might as well do reruns of another show instead at that timeslot with those kind of ratings.

It's sad because Journeyman has so much more going for it than The Bionic Woman. I just don't see them progressing that far (storyline) with The Bionic Woman. Journeyman has so many possibilities, it's mind bottling.

Journeyman is not all that accessible of a show, especially in the 10 p.m. EDT timeslot. People want procedurals in that timeslot (it's why Cane also struggles on Tuesdays). People want self-contained episodes so that they aren't penalized for missing an episode here or there. Journeyman's snail's pace in revealing Dan's homelife situation (past and present) are not conducive to keeping the viewer's attention amongst the Nielsen households, and Dan's time-traveling "missions" aren't that interesting.

The only feasible timeslots they could move Journeyman to would be Wednesday at 8pm, currently occupied by Phenomenon or 9pm, which is Bionic Woman's timeslot.

It could move into Life's timeslot at 10pm, but Life is already having an uphill battle with CSI:NY and Dirty Sexy Money and is finishing 3rd in the timeslot every week.

I think Nielsen viewers just don't like watching serial dramas. Although Dan's journeys are pretty self contained.

Well, Journeyman is past my bedtime, but I watch it the next morning.

That's why I said I don't think it will help. I can't see a better time slot for it but I like the show so I just want them to try something to save it.

Well, I for one, am hoping that Journeyman can weather the storm this season. See how it does after football season is over. I actually have been looking forward to watching that more than Heroes this season. Bionic Woman lost me after the first episode.

It's amazing. Almost all of the network shows I watch are on NBC, and NBC is in the toilet right now: Heroes, Journeyman, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office. I also watch Lost. I meant to watch Pushing Daisies this year, but I missed the first couple episodes, and I am the type of person who has to watch all the episodes in order, so I'll see how it does and may pick it up on DVD.

NCIS took a (not huge) decent sized hit; most likely because a few of its views probably watched the It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Special that people have seen a million times.

That'll teach The CW not to schedule a recap episode of Beauty & the Geek.

If they have, I don't remember them doing it with 5 weeks left before the finale. They are just getting greedy and trying to fill a week with useless recaps.

Obviously Halloween had a pretty big impact on CBS with Kid Nation falling and thus also sending Criminal Minds (with Mantegna's debut) down a bit from last week as well. Perhaps CM should've went with a rerun last night...

I don't think it's going to get that bad (if it does, plenty of heads will roll at NBC), but I think it'll hover around 10m and then pick back up to 13m or so toward the season finale.

A few observations from the last few days... is it my imagination or is Big Bang Theory doing better than anyone thought? Are the huge losses on Wednesday due to Halloween? Damn Life is not doing well...

I’m glad that The Big Bang Theory is doing well and I think it deserves the ratings it gets. It’s not even close to the same level as any of the NBC comedies; but for a 4-camera, laugh track situational comedy; it’s probably the only decent one currently on Primetime TV. Oh, I’ll probably get a thousand but… How I met Your Mother responses, but I don’t think its good; doesn’t mean other people don’t, it’s just my opinion.

I’m very unhappy that Life took a huge -16.50% hit in the ratings on Wednesday’s. I think Damian Lewis as Crews is great and he is funny like Goldblum on Raines. Sarah Shahi isn’t horrible on the eyes; she’s a good actor as well.

It’ll be Raine’d pretty soon.

It's funny how the ratings end up. Since the beginning of the season CSI has handily beaten Grey's Anatomy in total viewers, but for some reason last night it lost by about 100,000 people.

And the lead in Survivor had its highest viewership since the premiere, so that couldn't be the reason. I'm wondering if CSI being a repeat last week caused some viewers to lose interest in this weeks show?

Maybe, but a slight correction, it was a 10,000 difference between the two... So when final nationals come out (which I will post either late tonight or early tomorrow), it could go CSI's way. But the fact that it's so close probably was because of the rerun last week.

I think next weeks CSI-Without a Trace crossover episode will definitely beat Grey’s Anatomy by over a million viewers. I could be wrong though.

I hate the ‘Trying to grab extra ratings by doing the ole’ crossover gimmick’ as much as the next person; but I can’t wait too see Petersen and LaPaglia together.
