That may be the lowest viewership in millions for Heroes. It's ratings have never recovered after it went on hiatus last March. They have lost almost 4 million 'live' viewers since then.

This should be a good lesson for shows like Heroes, Jericho and Lost that they cannot interupt the storyline because they don't have enough episodes to fill the season. 24 got it right a couple of years ago with their January to May uninterrupted viewing.

It also doesn't help that it follows Chuck, a show getting only 7-8m viewers where as last year, IIRC, Deal or No Deal was getting around 13m.

It doesn't help that it is an incredibly boring season so far.

What is it about most shows and their sophmore seasons? Lost was the same way and even though I didn't watch 24 until the third season, I think I remember people here saying that the 2nd season of 24 was pretty weak also.

Hopefully Jericho doesn't follow that pattern. And speaking of Jericho, I guess CBS is holding it back until next year (winter-spring 2008) as planned.

Actually the 2nd season of 24 was pretty damn solid. At least until 2/3 of the way through.

What's happened to GA? It used to be first or second depending on how CSI did but now even without the ALCS, it's down to fourth place...

I wonder how baseball is going to affect the ratings tonight. Especially for Bionic Woman and Life who have dropped alot since the premiere.

I think it lost some of it's audience due to Private Practice.

This may be a simplified way of looking at it, but maybe ABC is happy with Grey's Anatomy (18M) & Private Practice (12M) which at 30M is more than the 21M that Grey's Anatomy alone was pulling in. Who knows?

I'm sure Fox is glad that Boston is in there instead of Cleveland. So the ratings are probably going to be pretty high.

Personally, I've been finding myself forgetting about "Grey's Anatomy." It could just be my crazy college schedule this year, but I've missed it twice and don't really feel any need to try and catch up. Lately Christina and Izzy are the only characters that I care about and I'm tired of seeing everyone so stressed out and cranky! I miss the hijinx and peril for seasons 1 and 2.

As for "Private Practice" I love that show. I don't know why, but the mixture of the characters and the quirky elements has me coming back week after weekend excited for the series. I also watch "Gossip Girl" so living in the dorms I've set up what my friends and I joking refer to as "an old school tivo" since I have a spliter set up with a vcr on one line and my dvdr on the other. So we can watch Daisies, PP, Dirty Sexy Money live, and then GG (wihtout commericals) at 11pm.

Interesting to see how much "Bionic Woman" has fallen...

CRIMINAL MINDS (WED. 9PM, CBS)
09/26/07 | 12.71 | 3.5/9
10/03/07 | 14.42 | 3.7/9
10/10/07 | 14.47 | 3.8/10
10/17/07 | 14.87 | 3.9/10
10/24/07 | 14.93 | 3.9/9

Getting rid of Mandy Pantikin was the best thing that CBS ever did for this show. I don't watch it though.

I try to watch CM every week and while Pantikin was great on the show, I'm interested to see how Joe Montagna does next week.

Oh, Joe Montagna has not even joined the show yet? That's an even bigger slap in the face to Pantikin considering that there are no other real stars on the show right now.

Not really. If you looked at last year's numbers for the show, I think you would see the premiere was the abnormal week, not the ones that have followed.

Criminal Minds has climbed dramatically since the season premiere. Very happy to see it doing so well. I'm looking forward to seeing Mantegna next week. Obviously it's a procedural and every episode is self contained, which makes it pretty easy to gain new viewers.

Although, at first I thought the show wouldn’t be as good without Mandy, after watching last weeks episode (missed the episode the week before) “Children of the Dark”, I don’t think him leaving affected the show at all.

Still need to see this week’s episode that I recorded, the last episode with Gibson as the lead of the show.
