I'm happy she's leaving, oddly happy. It didn't sound like the audience was too torn up about her exit. I guess after telling Donald Trump, "eat me" they pretty much expected it.

I liked the View the way it was, particularly Star Jones and Meredith Vieira. The show's been on the decline since Lisa Ling left.

My wife really liked the show after they added Rosie so she isn't happy about it. She was no Meredith but she was miles better then Starr. Yes I do watch the show on occasion.

Good riddance. What a brainless, hate-filled, grotesque subcreature. If I never see her ugly mug on TV again, it'll still be too soon.

And even though I consider myself a right-winger, I hope they can Hasselbeck as well. She makes that Debbie Matenopolous chick look like Albert Freaking Einstein by comparison.

No big surprise. She was always a bit of an odd fit with Barbara's show. She sure boosted the show's ratings, though, and can probably get her own show again if she wants it. I'm not sure why she's leaving if it isn't to plan another show of her own.

They said it on the show this morning. Rosie wanted another one year contract but ABC was only offering her a 3 year contract, nothing shorter.

Did they ever find that girl in Aruba?

I am willing to bet that Elizabeth won't be back either, and they will have a couple of new hosts. I would say that Joy is safe.

I can't stand Rosie, and although I've never watched the View, I'm glad she's going...

What a moron!!! I think she's headed for a complete meltdown. I just hope it will be a public one.

Drudge Report:

ABC, in fact, wanted O’Donnell to stay with the show. They offered her, as she said on the air, a three-year contract. She refused to sign. Rosie said she’d stay for a year, and this is what you don’t know: She wanted $10 million to do so.

ABC did not turn down the money. They turned down the one-year part. They wanted stability. They would have paid her something like $30 million to sign for three years. That’s how much they wanted her. She was the future of "The View."

My posts don't include racial humor, accusations against our government for conspiring to murder 3,000 Americans, or equating the religious right with Islamofascists who target innocent women and children with suicide bombings.

Rosie however said all of those things as a co-host on The View.

Actually she did not. You must not watch the View, but instead just hear the Faux News Cliff Notes distortion.

She never said the government brought down the Twin Towers, she asked questions about the later collapse of the WTC7 building which killed no one.

And she rightfully said that extremists are just as scary no matter what religion they are. How anyone can disagree with that statement or find it controversial is beyond me. Extremist Christians have also done horrible things, and she never once said that all Christians are extremists - but it is interesting that so many mainstream Christians basically lumped themselves in the extremist category by being offended at that statement.

And racial humor? By making fun of the fact that the Danny Devito drunk story made international news? Context is everything, but somehow that gets lost in the translation in the sound-bite era.

I found the Ching-chong comment very offensive. She never correctly apologized. Considering her stance with regards to discrimination towards homosexuals, it was extremely hypocritical. Blasting Kelly Ripa a while back for example.

I liked the things she did on her own show. She was right however when she said she wasn't the 'Queen of Nice' as people had labelled her. And with her stint on The View, it proved it. I like her being outspoken but she often said things on The View without thinking. Rosie just started to become an overbearing big mouth. And yes, I was a casual viewer of this show back in the early days.

Too much attention to this. Can't agree on negotiations. She won't be on the show any longer. Whatever..

Right since FNC is the only network that was spending time on these topics.

She said she wanted 3 years and ABC wanted to give her only 1.
Seems like in order to save everyones face from Ms. Walters, Rosie and ABC they came up with this story. Here in Chicago I've heard a lot of management b.s. from the Chicago Cubs front office over the years so I know b.s. when I see it.

I used to love Rosie. Loved her old HBO special but in the past few years she has become a big wind bag.
She needs to go away.
