If Juliet isn't a mole, why did she wait to produce the key to the handcuffs only when Smokey was on their scent, and Juliet wanted to get behind an activated fence?

This episode did not answer every question I have, therefore it sucked. :grunt:

Where the hell could the others have gone to?

Me, I could care less. I'm beginning to think what people were saying about Jack in previous threads could be true.. |

Juliette and the others have obviosly had situations with the smoke monster in the past (Juliette knowing it wont pass their security barrier). However, knowing how dangerous it is, she just sat there with Kate the first time it tried to attack them asking her "What is that"? This makes no sense, unless she had already known that it wasnt going to attack them, just scan them (or whatever it did when it flashed the light on them.)
|
Was that the first time Smokey flashed the white light?

An ok episode, Kate is great to look at, tight cloths, all wet fighting with Juliette and such, but her back story blows. No more of her Mother, no more of the Feds. Enough already. We get it.
And the lady that got scammed by Sawyer, that says she is preggo, I have zero interest in her character, he character is wicked boring. I like the part with Smokey and the fence. Cool. More Smokey is always cool. I think Smokey should have it's own spin off show. Interesting revelations about what Locke is up to/where he went and where the others went. Next week could be interesting. About the others leaving the village.... Maybe Hawaii is cracking down and they don't want ABC to film on the beach anymore? A long shot, but maybe they planned this episode so they could move the survivors to the empty village, away from the beach? Just a random thought. |

Whats the average cost per episode on this show now? Anybody know? |

I thought the flashbacks were boring and started fast forwarding them. Didnt care for the whole Sawyer/ Hurley plotline but liked the Kate/Juliette stuff. |
Decent episode this week. Great seeing smokey make an appearance. The flashing during his scan was something new that will no doubt be the subject of water-cooler discussion tomorrow morning.
And in no way is Elizabeth Mitchell the only good addition to the cast since Eko. Hello? Benjamin Linus, anyone? Desmond becoming a regular? both stellar and worthy additions. |

If Juliette is up to something, I think Jack might be on it, too. Is Ben manipulating Jack through Juliette? |

The empty field really looked a lot like an old sugar-cane or pineapple field with just a few straggly corn(?) plants up front to make it seem otherwise - the soil was just so red. Then at the gas station scenes I swear there is a small banana tree between the gas station and the non-descript store next to it (which is a very common style of road-side building in Hawaii, although it might be common in Iowa too for all I know) and for just one or two frames I thought I saw palm leaves in the background behind the grifter-lady on the other side of the gas station. The trees across the street, while out of focus, had big brown patches in the leaves that looked a lot like seed pods for a common local tree too. So, I can't say with 100% confidence, but I'd bet money that they were shot in Hawaii. |
I think each episode of LOST costs between $2-2.8 million. It's one of the most expensive non-cable shows on television.

Hello, my name's James Ford, but you can call me Sawyer. In my old life, I was a professional con man who scammed people for a whole lot of money. Funnily enough, in all my years of deception, I never did learn how to fake being nice to people. One might find that a tad unrealistic, but it really makes perfect sense. You see, the writers come up with story ideas and then they write characters to fit those plot points, rather than going for any kind of consistency. It's also the reason I've pretty much constantly bounced back and forth from being an asshole to a decent guy over the last couple years, or months, depending on your point of view. Anyway, I was just stopping by because the writers asked me to come out and explain why it's not completely retarded that a professional con man wouldn't have a clue how to trick people into liking him. I hope you enjoyed the comic hijinx as Hurley taught me how to be nice, and were a bit moved when I finally learned my lesson. Of course, next week, I'll probably be back to being a complete asshole. Please keep watching!
|
And I make a big deal over the smallest aspect of the subplot of the island aspect of the episode.
|
Sawyer not knowing how to be nice was odd. I thought it was a double con a first.
Kate did something else really bad. Jack is working with the others. Juliette was left behind and is being played by Jack. I bet Jack knows the bad thing Kate did and that is why he was cold to her. Juliette is a distraction from Jack. The others went to box. Those flashbacks are time travel moments but only Des can remember them. Juliette knows more about that monster. Though it was a good episode. |
After watching 24 and Prison Break this week, this mediocre episode of Lost was a breath of fresh air for me.
