tonight!

Rogue588 04-03-07 11:41 PM

Is it me or has ABC stopped running misleading promos for Lost?

redrum 04-04-07 12:13 AM

hopefully cause that was ridiculous.

hardercore 04-04-07 03:34 AM

A Kate-centric episode.

Written By: Damon Lindelof and Elizabeth Sarnoff
Director: Karen Gaviola

"Kate and Juliet are stranded in the jungle after Kate learns that there is a traitor in the survivor's midst. Meanwhile, Sawyer's poor attitude and selfish ways towards the beach community may earn him a vote of banishment if he doesn't have a change of heart."

Doughboy 04-04-07 07:50 AM

Unless Malcolm Reynolds makes another appearance, I've had enough of Kate's flashbacks. She's one of the most played out characters on this show.

Yeah. My issue with the flashbacks in general is that, although the producers keep saying they will, they don't see to move the story on the island along. When you watch them it's like they are trying to force backstory filler on you, all the while you are saying "get back to the frakkin island".

Groucho 04-04-07 08:17 AM

Will Kirk Cameron guest star?

aktick 04-04-07 08:39 AM

Can't wait.

Pistol Pete 04-04-07 12:52 PM

I wonder who will get raptured?

hardercore 04-04-07 02:32 PM

Can't wait, let's do this shizzle. Looks like Hurley's really taken on something of a leadership role with Jack, Locke, Kate and Sayid away.

firteen88 04-04-07 03:14 PM

I have a feeling that tonight's episode is gonna be a snoozer. I could care less about kate and her backstories.

candyrocket786 04-04-07 04:16 PM

No Nathan Fillion=No Sale.

movieking 04-04-07 08:10 PM

Just finished it.

Spoiler:
Definitely no Nathan. More black smoke monster. A disappointing episode for me.

A-aron 04-04-07 09:13 PM

is this lady that Kate is chatting with the same that was with Sawyer in season 1?

B.A. 04-04-07 09:15 PM

Kim Dickens is back! Nice.

Yea, season 2 I think.

Between the constant character connections, people speaking in riddles, and Julia knowing some karate I don't know how much more I can take!

zuffy 04-04-07 09:17 PM

Do the Others train everyone in combat? That was some quick reflexes from Juliet.

A-aron 04-04-07 09:37 PM

I got it! The monster is one of those pain-in-the-ass people that take your photo at the beach.

zuffy 04-04-07 09:40 PM

WTF? Is Juliet really playing dumb about the monster?

RichC2 04-04-07 09:46 PM

Spoiler:
Yeah, she's playing dumb about everything, the gate thing was fairly clever. Rather, it fit.

They're trying to do the Jaws thing with this episode, it kind of works but not really. While I can certainly see people not liking this episode, I thought it was overall, well done - well directed, fairly well written. It didn't do a ton of progression, but had some decent character developments and showed reenforces that things are unknown, even to the more-or-less natives.

That said the
Spoiler:
Sawyer's my baby's daddy!
was a bit much.

MrX 04-04-07 10:00 PM

I thought the Sawyer and Hurley stuff was great.

Patman 04-04-07 10:04 PM

I must say, I did enjoy munching on a big bowl of popcorn while watching this episode.

What are the odds Kate and Cassidy meet in Iowa?

Juliet seems to be the trojan horse, but I guess we'll find out in due time.

Why doesn't Kate simply ask her how she/they know so much about Jack and the rest of the Losties? Stuff like that just makes me roll my eyes with this show.

The Hurley-Sawyer subplot was a little cheesy, but did undercut the tension with the Juliet-Kate subplot. Those ladies look damn good in mud, was hoping for a mud wrestling fight, but it was not to be.

firteen88 04-04-07 10:09 PM

like I predicted, I thought that was a snooze fest. I hate Kate's backstories.

B.A. 04-04-07 10:09 PM

Jack didn't need to give Kate the cold shoulder.

Any chance they kill Locke before the season finale?

Patman 04-04-07 10:11 PM

Anyone buying that Juliet doesn't know much about Smokey? Smokey scanned Juliet, moreso than Kate...hmmm...

firteen88 04-04-07 10:11 PM

Any chance they kill Locke before the season finale?
I sure as hell hope not

RichC2 04-04-07 10:11 PM

I think they know a little about it but never actually encountered it.

It's possible, I don't care for his character so much anymore. That said, they need to stop killing off survivors, or they're working toward nothing.

Ranger 04-04-07 10:12 PM

Good episode but really hope that's the last time we see Kate's mom.

zuffy 04-04-07 10:14 PM

This episode is much better than last week with Nikki and Apollo, even though I did enjoyed that episode too in an entertainment way.

Spoiler:
in the preview for next week, that silver thingy, is that the top of the submarine?

I'm guessing they have (had) communications with the outside world, as IIRC everything they've shown to know about the Losties so far has been stuff that could be found online/in stories about the victims of a plan crash/or by reading somebodies government related files.

Maybe we're to assume that's what the Losties figure as well?

Yeah, I think it's Juliet when she first showed up on the island. I think it's her backstory next week, which should be interesting.

B.A. 04-04-07 10:17 PM

zuffy - I believe so.

That would be awesome.

aktick 04-04-07 10:20 PM

I liked this ep, but I hated Kate's backstory (and I usually like them all, even those others hate).

So first Ben uses Kate to manipulate Jack, and now he's using Jack to manipulate Kate? Something along those lines...

I hope Juliet is really being outcast, and isn't just being put there as a mole, that'd be way too obvious. Sayid will surely figure it out - has he been wrong in reading somebody yet?

B.A. 04-04-07 10:20 PM

All complaining aside - I have loved the addition of Elizabeth Mitchell. She's the only quality addition that they have made since Eko.

zuffy 04-04-07 10:22 PM

I said the same thing to my wife, to have Juliet as a mole is too obvious.
