The look on Sylar's fact, once he'd realized what she was doing, said it all. Or, rather, I thought it did. Perhaps they should have wasted some time on unecessary expository dialogue.

Hmmm, I didn't get that at all. Gonna have to watch that scene again on nbc.com since I already deleted it from the DVR.

Brent_MN 12-04-06 10:00 PM

did she kill herself so he couldn't take it? I don't remember. It was bad ass tho.

pinata242 12-04-06 10:01 PM

If she did, it was an awful quick decision.

The networks think that people don't watch reruns of a serialized show, so instead of alternating between new episodes and reruns, the network runs it straight new episodes. In order for the show to make it to the end of the season, they either have to split the season in two somewhat, or start airing the show in January. LOST, Prison Break, and Heroes use the former, while 24 uses the latter.

Also, as RichC2 pointed out, the networks like to have new episodes to run during sweeps months. Feb and May are the next ones, while Nov was the last one.

Rogue588 12-04-06 10:07 PM

Wait...she killed herself?

See, I thought it was Sylar that was turning the gun using his telekinetic ability to take her out. The gunshot also wasn't definitively in her brain.

That's what I thought too - she blew her brains out to (hopefully) keep Sylar from getting her powers.

Astro 12-04-06 10:16 PM

Even if the gunshot wound was to her brain, I don't know if that would stop sylar. He bashed the telekinetic's skull in and still got what he needed.

Goldberg74 12-04-06 10:29 PM

The thing that got me was when the Haitain asked Claire to keep the secret, and that he didn't "wipe" her memory.

Who's side is he on? ;)

magiccmom 12-04-06 10:30 PM

See I thought she told him to take the gun and kill himself (using her powers of persuasion) but didnt her voice turn into his causing me to think he reversed that and persuaded her to kill herself?

And if he does blow himself up, then he does save the world.

Patman 12-04-06 10:36 PM

The Nikki/DL/Michah/Jessica subplot just drags, but the rest is always moving forward in interesting ways.

I think Peter is dreaming of the other nuclear man, but comes to close proximity to him later to cause the situation where Peter thinks he's the one that becomes the human bomb.

So how far up the food chain does Null-n-Void really answer to?

Loved the mental feedback between Peter and Matt.

Can't wait to see Hiro vs. the Dinosaur with the sword...of destiny.

Brent_MN 12-04-06 10:45 PM

ok, aren't we fooling ourselves? I think that "dinosaur" is Godzilla. I was wondering why Hiro didn't say that. But I suppose that's laughable. heh.

MrX 12-04-06 10:50 PM

I figured Eden was going to be the one that died by the fact she's the only non-Sylar hero that has never appeared in any of the Heroes promo pictures.

The ending was a definite WTF?

Jimmy James 12-04-06 10:51 PM

I think it would be funny if the whole secret agency is actually answering to future Sylar who has excised Hiro's brain. That's why he had a cell created he could escape from. That's going to be very interesting going forward -- he's in their (sub) headquarters. Who knows what information, skills, and other assets he'll be able to pick up in there.

Patman 12-04-06 11:04 PM

I think they may have been holding Nuclear Guy in the same building Peter was being held at, and Peter was getting a serious case of Nuclear Indigestion (tm).

cornflakeguy 12-04-06 11:05 PM

I was under the impression Eden killed herself to keep Sylar from getting her persuasion power. It's hard to see how the watch ticks when the pieces are smeared across the room.

I'm wondering exactly what the room was made of that makes anyone think their powers are useless inside it? Force field being powered by a matter/anti-matter collision syphoned through a dlithium crystal matrix?

By the way, I make a motion to rename Null-n-Void to "Mr. Echo." ;)

Speaking of that, wouldn't you love the power of the iron stomach? You can eat anything and be okay. Kitchen cleanser? Good. Lye? Solid. Down a gallon of bleach and follow it with a gallon of ammonia? You're set. Heck, swallow a bomb and you'll do that cartoon thing where it blows up inside you.

Tommy Ceez 12-04-06 11:19 PM

Its amazing how confused people are in this thread

*When Eden realized that she couldnt kill Sylar (remember Grunberg shot Sylar and he didnt die) she killed herself, because with her powers, he would be kick ass

*The Hatian realizes that Claire is important to the future and her father isnt thinking straight, so he's gonna pull a scam with her

*This is consistantly the most satisfying show on TV

Groucho 12-04-06 11:21 PM

Haitian dude should be called Retcon (apologies to Torchwood).

B.A. 12-04-06 11:24 PM

I thought it was blatantly obvious that Eden was offing herself so that Sylar wouldn't be able to harvest her ability.

Can I get a recap of what was "said" between Matt and Peter? Thanks.

ferret211 12-04-06 11:25 PM

Strange...my HD cable stream didn't show the preview for January but my Tivo (non HD) box had the preview. The HD channel showed a preview for Medium instead. I have been using Tivo as well since Heroes started going longer and getting cut off.

ferret211 12-04-06 11:28 PM

Anybody else think something is up with Nathan? I thought he looked evil in Peter's vision.

Jimmy James 12-04-06 11:29 PM

Pasdar always looks evil to me...that's what Jim Profit did for him.
