Thanks, freedexter - I appreciate it. Maybe I will be able to catch the Easyview this weekend.

I was scared for Delia's sake when Ephram was driving the stick-stick SUV with Andy. I thought she was going to round over by Ephram.
Also, if Colin dies, remember what Andy's mentor told him, Everwood is going to be a tough town to live in. That could set up more tension for next season, instead of watching the Brown live happily in their new town of Everwood, which would be boring.

Everwood Season Premiere (09/15)
Really? Nobody? You think there would be more fanfare here. I know I'm excited.
"The Last of Summer", Episode #201.
Colin's fate is revealed following his radical brain surgery.

God, this show is depressing.
Great show tonight - I really like the narration, and that is something I don't usually care for.

It's on in 20 min. for me. I really hope colin's character is killed off... I've had enough of that guy and i haven't watched the show since the season finale. Well, here's hoping.
OH, and AMY'S HOT.

Was Everwood always on at 9 PM Eastern, 10 Central? I guess I don't remember the show being on this late... I was surprised when that's when TiVo told me it was airing. Anyways, it's on in five minutes... I'll probably tune in to see if Colin lived or died, and then watch the rest later.
And Emily VanCamp (who plays Amy) is 17. Yikes.

A bit uneven in a few parts (not sure how much I liked Dr. Brown's speech), but still a very good start. This show is at its best when it's posing difficult questions, and what Colin asked of Dr. Brown may have been the most difficult of all. I absolutely love every scene with Dr. Abbott, especially when he's in father mode; his scenes with Bright and Amy are always very touching.

Yeah, agree that it did feel a bit uneven, but to me, a lot of Everwood feels that way anyways. I enjoyed this opener, despite the somber tone. Amy is as ridiculous as ever, Ephram is less moody, and that's a good thing in my book, and Dr. Abbott really did shine. I liked Dr. Brown's speech. It felt honest and real. Also, the scenes between Amy and Ephram were as good as ever.
Lastly, Edna was bearable. Hard to believe.

Wow, quite a downer. [sarcasm] I think Amy should have been a little more melodramatic, that would have helped. [/sarcasm]
It was a very good episode, though. The Abbots (Amy excluded) were good comic relief, since everybody else was all doom and gloom. The season looks to be quite good.

There was a summer of pain for all involved. It was best to get it all out and move on to other stories.
And not everything is hunky-dory either.
Also, is it possible that Emily Vancamp got even cuter over the summer?

Enjoyed this about half way thru. Then it got
a little clunky. Thankfully they did all this in one
episode. Hated the Planet Califonia? restaurant
or however Arnold pronounces it. They mentioned
actors I did not even know. LAME.
Its an ok show, but it still seems to be missing
something I just can not put my finger on.

Our WB and UPN got screwed when the spanish channels came along so thats why ours is on late.
Happened around the last season of Dawson's Creek. But I could be wrong.

Wow... Everwood was one of my favourite shows last season, and this opener did not disappoint. I'm glad the show had the balls to run with this storyline (seeing as the WB usually finds any excuse to keep these lame ass "teen hearthrob" types on their shows...). I think this episode had great writing and the speech at the end was extremely well done... truly moving.
And yes, Amy has gotten hotter over the summer... DAMN.

Watching Everwood (and 7th Heavean before it) made me realized how much I miss actually watching quality scripted TV.
All I've seen all summer is reality...granted, I do like some reality shows, but even the best crafted reality pales in comparison to something as good as Everwood.
Bring on the premieres!

My thoughts: It was good to see the characters get back to who they are, or who they want to be.
Amy's in a funk, but might accept therapy to get her ship righted.
Ephraim's getting the support he needs from Andy.
Andy's got his medical balls back.
Bright's got a tough row to hoe, scholastically speaking.
Harold's got his hands full with his kids.
What was kind of interesting was how many who have been rejected by Juliard don't see it as a minus, with years of perspective. Those who do get into the school share stories that there's a circulation problem in some floors of one of their buildings (due to having to keep the climate to preserve stratovarious violins). I wish I could remember where I saw the bad vibes about Juliard.
