I thought they handled that moment between those two pretty well.
Harold had me laughing my ass off after he decided to put the cabin on the market immediately.
Scott Wolf left his wife in real life (Kelly from Real World New Orleans) to be w/ Nina. How awful.

11/22/04 recap
Amanda makes a move on Andy, via a play-date with their children, but Andy pulls away because of her husband still in the picture.
Nina's son Sam is hurt while skating at an ice rink, and Andy doesn't answer the call, so Nina has to rely on Jake who stitches up Sam's chin, and Nina's impressed with Jake's bedside manner. Jake leaves a date to tend to Nina and Sam.
Ephram and Amy stall in their make-out sessions, the latest awkward outing of things not happening is at the drive-in. Amy comes up with a plan to get busy at her family's cabin. Ephram ask Andy if it's okay, and Andy relents. Amy lies to Harold, telling him that she'll be staying overnight with Hannah.
At the cabin, Amy freezes up, and Ephram eases back on the throttle and they just spoon to sleep. The next morning, Amy gets a little friskie and Ephram gets excited as well and it's "game on". Now, we don't know if they had safe sex (plus the plug for the teen pregnancy website at the end doesn't make it seem like Ephram and Amy were all that responsible dancing like rabbits).
Amy sort of gives her parents the location where she got busy with Ephram, and Harold immediately suggest they sell the cabin to ward off any more possible rendezvous at the cabin.

I'm surprised nobody has said much on this so far. Is it simply slow because of the holidays?
I thought it was a good episode as usual. From my previous post I simply thought the intro was hillarous. I was laughing like crazy. Really well done.
I did mist about 10 minutes because I received a phone call - but that was apparently while Amy was talking to Hanna, so perhaps not much missed there. I did, however miss some of Andy talking to Ephram, so I'm not sure how that entire conversation went. Similarly, from what I saw Harold's alegory conversation wtih Amy was not as straight forward. The reactions I saw told me Hanna had more of a clue as to what Harold was implying rather than Amy.
I'm glad Andy did the right thing by turing away while out to pizza and passing her off. My bet is next week they actually do kiss, or almost do and he wakes up. Another option is they start dating behind the scenes, it gets out, husband wakes up and then either husband leaves her or she leaves town with husban and Andy is left alone again.
Delia was actually well behaved - hopefuly her hell-spawn phase is over. Funny how she was talking about camping and Andy and Ephram were talking about 'camping'. Hehe.
Hope everybody else enjoyed it as well. Looking forward to your thoughts as well.

>>Scott Wolf left his wife in real life (Kelly from Real World New >>Orleans)
Which one was Kelly? I didn't recognize the woman on the show. Does anyone have a screen shot?
I thought this was a fantastic episode. I loved the drive in movie scene. That was hysterical. Another great performance by Tom Amandes as well. He really deserves some recognition for this show.
Damn Amy is looking hot this year....

Amy at lunchtime in that tight olive-colored top was to die for.
I didn't even realize it was Kelly from Real World New Orleans until someone mentioned it earlier. She was pretty cute on Real World, but looked a lot older on this episode.
I still ain't convinced that Amy and Ephram practiced safe sex when Amy decided to take advantage of Ephram's morning wood/boner. (Can't blame the guy, I'd have the same physiological reaction if Amy wanted to snuggle under the blankets with me as well).

Patman, one thing you missed in your recap that I think was really important, is that Nina tried to call Dr. Abbott before she resorted to calling Dr. Jake. Dr. Abbot's phone was on vibrate and dancing on the table behind the couch. It just goes to show how Nina wanted to avoid Dr. Jake.
No Bright this ep.
I really liked the episode, and the way they handled everything. The voice overs at the drive-in were hilarious, and I honestly didn't think that they were going to do it, but then when she 'woke up' and 'wasn't thinking', they do it.
The funny thing is, that night Amy and Ephram weren't the only ones getting it on... did you see the look in Harold's eye when he made that move on Rose? And their cup of coffee around the table in the morning.
Oh, one more thing, I think Hannah's a Mormon, but they'll never directly say that.
I like the diversity this show has, in stories, characters, writing and whatnot, despite its being a rather small town.

Why was Nina acting all weird around Scott Wolf? Was it only because they went out? I was kind of confused because she was almost acting like she liked him or something but I thought she was the one who put the brakes on dating, realizing she carries a torch for Andy.
At least Anne Heche didn't drag her husband on another date with Andy. No wonder he cried on the bridge. Loved her snarky way of dealing with the nosy neighbor.
Harold was surprising cool about Amy "doing it". Definitely more cool than most fathers would be about their little girl, especially someone as high strung as Harold. Of course, I had to wonder why he didn't think they were already doing it. Amy and Ephram spend so much time together, they could have definitely already had the opportunity.
I thought the ending of the episode was kind of weird, I almost expected Ephram to be calling Madison instead of Amy. They were playing this ominous music and he seemed kind of like he was troubled.
When I first read this, I thought you meant in real life and I was like "what? didn't they just get married a few months ago?" I didn't realize that was Kelly in the episode playing his date.

Wouldn't it be funny if Rose Abbott ended up getting pregnant.

I think she was in shock from how he interacted with her son. She may be realizing that there's more to this guy than just a handsome young doctor. Plus, he left a date to come help her, when Andy and Harold wouldn't even bother to pick up the phone.

Yep - this ep proved it. Ephram's an idiot. And it's definitely genetic, like the disease that runs in Hannah's family.
