I just loved the scene where Harold and Any were sitting on the sofa with all of the leftover scones!!
Overall, a very good episode. This season just keeps getting better and better. I was very annoyed with Dr. Newbie and how he immediately rant to Dr. Brown.
I honestly am confused with Dr. Abbott. If I knew my daughter was dating a guy who got another girl preganant I think I'd be more inclined to keep them apart than anything else. However, I suppose opens the whole can about "they'll just try harder", etc.

If indeed C A&M is where they are going with this, I would think we will definitely have to see Bright start doing something or get left behind.
Also, how well would this really work? It was doable in Dawson's Creek since the show focused on the interactions between the teens more than anything, but with Everwood, just think - how many scenes out of a season are either Amy talking to Harold, or Ephram talking to Andy? That is a HUGE dynamic of the show that would be missing.

I think we will see Ephram and Bright living together at A&M. Amy will be going there, too. And once in a while they will go home on the weekends.

So with the "special guest star" this has the potential to be a "very special episode" and if this were another show **cough** ER **cough** I would be bitter, but Everwood seems to be able to do no wrong. JEJ seems like he'll fit right in on the show, I can't wait.
And if he decides to bless us with another post in this thread, I would like to say thanks to Patman. Those recaps/reviews he does of episodes are really great for me. I always forget names and stuff but still want to comment and Pats makes it all easy.

I kid, I kid - your recaps are most valuable in the American Dreams thread when I don't consistently follow an ep.

So did anyone else think Harold was being an asshole?
I'll like JEJ's guest spots on this show - I'm going to miss them.

Anyone else thinks Andy is falling in love with Anne Heche's character and she's falling in love right back?
With a comatose but conscious guy, this is gonna be one doozy of a love triangle.

I had a feeling Will would have a change of heart after he actually looked at the changes Ephram made.

Poor Bright... get's canned for having a little fun in the broom closet of his workplace.
Classic Bright.
No Delia, Hannah, Edna, Irv, or Nina and only a little Dr. Jake... they are back to revolving the story around the key characters of Andy, Harold, Ephram and Bright, with Amy and Rose as minor players.
Good ep.

Rose and Harold disagree on how to help Bright out after he lies to them about getting fired from his waiter job. Rose employs nepotism and Harold is firmly against this tact.
Andy continues to get close to Amanda, wife of John the stroke victim, and they delve in their past romantic lives (or lack of). While out on the bridge where stroke victim proposed to Amanda, listening to some sappy songs, it appeared that an emotional response, crying, by John occured, much to the surprise of Andy. The whole town finds out about the new development. Andy and Jake discuss that it's possible that other factors could have contributed to the crying, so it's not likely the music therapy was responsible for the reaction. Amanda is still okay with letting the town think Andy's work helped.
Ephram and Will work on his piece that he'll play for the judges at Julliard, and Will offers an original piece, and Ephram is enthusiastic about it, but later tinkers with it, and this brings on the wrath of Will, causing tension between them. Amy tries to keep up with Ephram's internal struggles with music, but he is speaking a language that she can never quite grasp. Will later shows up at Ephrams studio, and is shown how the computer can take the keyboard input and create MIDI files from the performances. Will is impressed with the technology, and then has Ephram play, without any volume on the keyboard, the changes to Will's piece because Will wants Ephram to "see" the music being played. Ephram gets Will's drift, but finally acknowledges that he needs a new teacher due to Will's hearing loss getting worse. Will is ready with a referral, and contends that this will be their last lesson together, and has Ephram play him out with their piece of music.
BTW, the lighting on Amy during her and Ephram's last scene was outstanding, she really looked good.
Overall, a transitional episode. Bright's "future" threatens to divide Rose and Harold. Andy appears to have developed genuine feelings for SVW, and her eyes share the same sentiment. Ephram's training will continue on with a different teacher, whose more into classical and isn't afraid to crack the whip on his pupils. I'll miss JEJ as Will, he was a hoot.

I am finding that I enjoy seeing that spark between Harold and any of his "family". Tom Amandes does excellent work when he is in conflict with others. His portrayal of Harold as obviously right with no regard to others is so like someone who overcompensated due to the choices he made to live up to his perceived ideal of what his father wanted him to be. On the plus side, when he realizes his arrogance, he is apologetic and contrite. I personally think he was right this time. Bright took advantage of his parents and Rose bailed him out.
Interesting to see where this path in the Abbott household will lead.
