very bad episode
stop repeating plots, do we really need another doctor, first andy then linda now the annoying scott wolf. If you need more characters give bright or delia or nina more face time don't add scott wolf and another doctor. DUMB.
End the madison thing now. Andy telling amy's entire family his son which is now dating your daughter knocked up his last girlfriend is moronic. Stop it now. I now teenage pregnancy must be preached as dangerous to all but stop the madness. Get over it. It has been done to death. I like everwood but this episode sucked.

With Linda, it was more of a family issue and how she ran off on the family to go do her own thing.
I do agree that the Madison bit needs to end. And while it was a good "sagely advice scene", it is pretty dumb for Andy to tell his son's girlfriend's dad about what happened. I think you could actually see the concern on Harold's face when Ephram came over at the end to talk to Amy.
Perhaps it's the way I interpreted your post, but you don't need to be bashful on the episode. Sure it had some weak points, but I wouldn't just come out and say "bad episode" and back it up with such lopsided words as moronic, sucked, and dumb. However, I think you will see a resolution next week as this week's episode was titled "For Every Action..."; wehreas next week is "...There is a Reaction".

I have a feeling that the tension between Harold and his mom is going to come to a colossal battle.
I liked this episode a lot and was one of the many who thought the Juliard letter was from Madison.
As for Ephram's sideburns... Amy can grow a better pair.

Wow...I almost did not get to see this on Monday night as I was not aware the show was starting already. Guess they will still have the Sunday night repeat shows as they have had in the past but I would not have wanted to miss it Monday. I taped it and watched it at 10:00pm when things quieted down in my house. Very good show once again....
Have season one on order with some November/December titles as I had too much coming in September with American Dreams and the Star Wars Trilogy. Looking forward to next Monday night!!!

Enough teases about is Dr Brown going to tell Ephram or not! They need to deal with that sub plot soon or it could drag down the season if not dealt with in a timely manner. And from the looks of next week, they may not even bring it up then.

"Nice share, Hal!"
Only Scott Wolf could pull off that line.
A lot was going on under the surface, and the parallel patient storyline with Andy's home life to hammer the point even more so.
Amy was so cute in this episode. I lurve her.
Wonder how the Nina's favor will impact Ephram (hope it's not a lame "puppy love" storyline).
Thank goodness the nasty sideburns are gone on Ephram.
Andy will need to come clean on the Madison issue, but they probably will save it for a sweeps episode.
Harold can be petty and self-serving one minute, and then be this breath of perspective and wisdom in the next.
It'd be hilarious if Bright were to go work for the new doctor (but the previews don't appear to go in that direction).

Bright once again was hilarious when his mother returned home.......
The Madison saga is getting old quick but still a solid episode. Watching the first two eps for this season has reaffirmed my choice in ordering Season 1 on dvd. The characters and the people who play them are what make this show so good. The writers do a good job in making decent storylines for all invovled but the characters and their development since Season 1 is what has made this show a weekly must see for me.

Emily Van Camp is actually turning out to be a pretty good actress - she seems to be improving w/ age (in several areas).Tom Amandes deserves to get nominated for an Emmy before this show's run is over. He is continually the best part of the show, whether it be from a comedy standpoint or a serious, dramatic one. If he isn't the best part of the show, Bright is - he was thinking of signing up for a Jesus Seminar.

Scott Wolf isn't so bad on the show, and as long as he keeps calling Dr. Abbott "Hal", I don't mind if he sticks around for awhile.

I'm hoping they let her character/subplot rest-- I think the whole Madison thing was one of the reasons I didn't like season 2 as much as season 1. I missed the Amy/Ephram interaction and I'm glad they are back to that this season.

I agree - I hope they give that storyline a rest as well and deal w/ other things.

This was the first time I've tried this show, and I really liked it. I think Dr. Abbot is going to be my favorite, although the interaction between Eprham and Amy is really good. Can't wait till the Season 1 dvds I ordered show up next week.

I was reading an article about this show, and Tom Amendes originally read for the role of Andy Brown, but got the Harold Abbott. Also, his wife is an actress and played Colin's mom.
Anyway... this show was a good one. Amy and Ephram ironing things out and throwing caution to the wind on the whole PDA thing.
By the way, where's Delia? She walked by for a second and that was it...?

Overall I suppose I wouldn't call this one of the best eps - however, it did have some strong ponits.
While deserved, I actually think the Edna storyline is what brought the episode down. Perhaps it was in the way the writers handled things. I agreed with her in the end, but while I was unfolding she did seem to be throwing a tempertantrum of sorts.
Don't know about anybody else, but I laughed my ass off at, "Where's the underage hottie?"
Too good.
On a final note, I oddly felt like Ephram, and even moreso Amy, came into their own during the cafe scene. Something just seemed to make the relationship move to a level beyond what it had been at. Having said that, I personally feel like Ephram hesitated way too much at the end in responding to Amy. Little odd too since he was giddy when Hannah said Amy loves you (unless I'm mixing that up with her saying that to Amy).
Oh yeah, one last bit - does Hannah remind anybody else of Felicity? If so irony that her character is named Hannah!

I agree with the above statement that this ep was not one of the strongest but still enjoyable. I also believe Ephram waited too long in telling Amy he loved her but I feel the writers did that on purpose to leave the viewer hanging for a few seconds possibly anticipating Ephram not saying anything at all. As always...looking forward to next week.

I enjoyed this ep very much...I felt it moved the story forward after spending the majority of the previous two on Madison and the "will she, won't she" question.
On a side note, what was the song at the end of the episode?

As always Edna is the weakest link. Notice the absence of Irv. He was the better half.
It was a transition episode from one storyline to another.
Amy needs to blow her nose before each scene. You can hear her sniffle a couple times each episode.
Oh ... and have I mentioned
Delia is the devil.

I don't like the girl who plays Hannah - she is the WB's go-to-girl when they need a teenage stalker.
