Rename it Stargate SG-12.

Maybe they could recast it with younger, hotter actors. Or they could go Supermarionation. Have those been done?

A little off-topic, but how many years did the show run on Showtime and how many on Sci-Fi? I've read three conflicting articles, and was wondering which one is correct... thanks!

Interesting. Too bad it's direct to DVD, but at least they are using the TV cast and continutity. Last I heard they were looking to bring back Russell and Spader and pretend the TV stuff never happened, but that may have been old rumors.

I would have preferred a big(er) budget TV movie, like the Dune series. Especially considering it is going to be "the climax of the Ori story." I sure hope they don't end the series on a cliffhanger.

I think the russell/spader SG universe is still going forward with it's own big budget movie and will not have an affect on the TV SG.

At this point, with SG-1 winding down it's run, i'll take whatever they're willing to give us to watch.

I'll be happy with anything we get to wrap up the series, I just wish it could've moved to Spike or something.

Personally I'd rather have them end the Ori story by the final episode and have the DVD movies be more of a stand alone story (or pick up an old plotline).

I have caught up on SG1 series (up to season 8 and Netflix hasn't add season 9 to their list, yet. ), I prefer the original version better.

Original version? The Gou'old vs. the Ori? Or the film vs. the show?

Never could make it through the movie, I was late to get on that train and have any of you tried watching it lately? It's just painful in it's cheese-factor.

Not that the shows a Masterpiece.

You must at least like the show to watch 8 seasons worth.

When they first announced it would be back next year they said they would have time to wrap everything up. Now they need extra movies to do it?

"Like" isn't what I have in my mind. The series is just okay. The season 6, 7, and 8 were the worst seasons I have ever seen - too many reveal-the-secret-to-public arguments and flashbacks that made whole show dragged down. I'm surprised that the show still around till season 10...
