Another good episode. You can really see the changes in show now that the Noxon episodes are done.

Kitty by far benefited the most from the change. Berlanti is playing much more to Calista's strengths as an actress giving her more lighter material than Noxon did.

I liked it too. Sometimes the writing can be a bit contrived but I am willing to overlook that. Love the cast and glad they are giving the gay character a storyline.

I keep thinking Sloan is up to something.

I'm loving this show, but unfortunately, missed the show (and "Housewives") tonight due to the electricity outage from the earthquake. (We were without power for 16 hours.) I'm really liking the various characters, though Kitty is a bit too "Ally" at moments.

I think the strength, so far, of the show is the "love and loathe" tug-of-war that is shown in the relating between different sibling pairs (the dynamics have a different feel for each pairing). This also occurs with parent and offsprings at times as well. Sure, the crisis aren't earthshattering, but as ongoing concerns, they feels more true to life, and are more relatable to people with large familes.

The Berlanti episodes do a much better job of showing the inter-relatability amongst the cast/family members than the initial Noxon episodes. I noticed this Noxon's previous effort with "Point Pleasant" where the characters don't relate as well in accessible fashion.

Like the others around here I think the last two Noxonless eps have been really good and have made this show a new regular in my watching. Berlanti really seems to have focused the writers on playing to each actors strengths and everyone just seems more interesting, likeable and HUMAN.

As mentioned earlier, I missed the ep due to the earthquake. Could someone summarize the episode for me, or direct me to a summary? I would greatly appreciate it!

Exactly, what I think. The first few episodes the characters seemed rather wooden. Now they seem much more HUMAN.

I forget the brother's names so you'll have to excuse that.

Nothing major

Kitty told the guy she hosts with she wants to work things out with her fiance

The youngest brother got a job as a bellhop at a hotel and it looks like they're going to set him up with his boss who he went to high school with. He got high on the job and she found him but told him she'd give him a 2nd chance. Sarah's daughter had to go into the hospital and he showed up still stoned
the straight brother went off on him and told him he doesn't care what he does anymore

Those were really the only hings I think that will carry over

It's definitely getting better, and is one of the few new shows that have held my interest past the initial episodes.
