Any word on a second series ?

Overall a very solid entertaining series which can only get better.

If they do have a second series, introduce a few more characters and they're set.

yeah, the actor playing Marcus is really good. i think the show deserves credit for not making everything so black and white - always having us support Blade and nothing else.

i was actually on the edge of my seat toward the end, hoping that Blade would make it in time to actualy SAVE marcus. weird how the show makes you sympathize with marcus.

talk about making the most of being on cable. fingernail torture - OUCH! taking out someone's eye - OUCH!

my recording was also cut off at the end. interesting revelation, and a good setup to next season.

Did Chase betray Marcus because she's just being an opportunist, or because she's in love with Marcus and jealous of Krista? I'm of the opinion that but for Krista, she would have followed Marcus forever.

The supporting actors definitely carry the series. I think it's a good balance. Marcus, Chase, Krista, Shen, Charlotte do the acting, Blade does the ass-kicking. I'm content.

ok, this may not be the best comparison, because it was Blade II... which wasn't nearly as good as the first Blade...

BUT... I watched Blade II the other day, and i found myself actually thinking that I'd like to see Jones' Blade in the movie. even that i'd almost *gasp* rather see him in the movie than snipes. could i possibly like Jones' Blade more than Snipes' now? or was Blade II just that bad?

Jill Wagner just announced on myspace that Spike TV has cancelled the show. I'm never watching that channel ever again.

WHAT? That sucks ass. I was really enjoying it toward the end of this season - Spike needs something interesting, even if it wasn't raking it in hand over fist.

Fucking TV execs.

Spike probably thinks they can make more money off CSI re-runs, Wrestling and Ultimate Fighting. New Line should have tried selling this show to Sci-Fi instead of this idiotic network.

Gotta love when quality TV shows get canned, but idiotic sitcoms where the laugh track button is mashed every 20 seconds seem to last forever....

Well here's hoping/praying another network will pick it up.

I was a late bloomer to the show. But I really started to get into it.

If it does happen to recieve life on another channel--What could that be? I doubt Sci-Fi, 'cause they don't show any booties..Right?

that's disappointing... i wonder what the production budget on this was? i mean, it had decent effects, so it couldn't have been very cheap. maybe that was a deciding factor since, like someone said, Spike can just shove a CSI re-run there.
