Another good episode last night I thought. Was cool to see more of Blade's backstory and see how Whistler got his limp. Next week's episode looked good until they showed Chase's naked backside....now it should be fantastic!

This Series is getting stronger and stronger. I mean really, they're feeding babies to vampires. I LOVE IT!

Gotta love the baby in a bag scene. Finally a double agent that gets caught. I mean, you'd think a crime family would be better at keeping tabs on their members when they're playing for the other side.

this show is getting better with every episode. not amazing or anything yet, but better.

all the storylines are interesting (well, blade's is the least interesting), even the mini storyline with the investigating cop.

also, i felt the Blade fight scene was much better this week.

Spoiler:
Now we finally find out that Aurora is designed to kill pure blooded vampires. I love the schemes.

Not a lot of Blade in this week's episode which is still a good thing. I'm worried that the series won't be given a chance due to the weakness of the lead character. There's an amazing supporting cast all of which have good side plots to allow them to grow.

I am also starting to worry about this show hanging on after really enjoying it so far despite its flaws. The supporting cast is pretty solid and even the new FBI agent is pretty interesting.

Spoiler:
Why would they need an aerosole spray for that? Why can't they just stake a pureblood or expose him/her to sunlight?

In the first Blade film, Frost kills the Vampire Elder Dragonetti by exposing him to the rising sun.

Spoiler:
I'm guessing they plan to make a chemical weapon they can just disperse into the air to kill the purebloods...as opposed to having to a) find them; b) capture them; c) drag them to the beach for the sunrise.

Series is getting good. I love the character Chase and what an arse !

The support characters continue to outshine Blade

I'm glad the Mother got dusted, didn't want that storyline dragging out

Great freakin' episode tonight. I liked how they showed Marcus' back story.

The fight between him and Dominic was just brutal!

I agree tonight's was great, best of the season I think. I loved it when Krista told the girl in the alley "You.....leave!"...then turned to the dude hanging from the fence and said "You....die!" and started to climb up to him.

I hope this show get renewed...would be nice to have it around for a while. Already looking forward to next week.

Ok, so this is quite a two-headed thread. When you read it from beginning to end you find that people hate it, then it's so-so, then it's picking up, now it's in the Top 5 shows on TV.

So...is this worth catching up on?

I totally think you should try and catch up on the show. It's got a decent amount of action and the story lines are very interesting.

I think the change in attitude can be attributed to the fact that the show has begun developing the characters. In the beginning, it appeared to be just another cheesy wanna-be action series. However, as the season has progressed, the show has focused not just on Blade, but on the other characters in the show.

For instance, they are running a story line which could possibly lead up to an Vampire House feud.

To be honest, the show's a lot more interesting when it's not focusing on Blade.

Awesome episode ! the fight with Marcus was awesome. You notice there was very little Blade in this ep which is good.

Storylines are progressing nicely, this show has really surprised me (in a good way)

that is true. and i'm glad the writers are savvy to that. i'm a bit of a vampire movie fan...so seeing how 'into' the whole vampire society and goings on is a lot more interesting to me than blade killing them all.

i'd like it to be 75% vampire struggles with brief interruptions by blade and his sidekick. hey...kinda like it is now...

Why was marcus turned into a vampire? From the moment his wife gets rapped to the point where he is on cross is very confusing.

Its beginning to remind me of Kindred: The Embraced a little (man I miss that show). In the way they are dealing with the different vampire houses going against one another.

yes. that's what it is. and brav-fucking-o. that show and the idea of how to write about the vampire houses and empires was good. shame it was canceled. i'm about to settle into the last episode on tivo. i'm sure i'll be back spouting off....

What this episode also did was give us another side to marcus, he's no longer the 'baddie'. Lines which are grey rather than black and white are more interesting.

After watching what happened to his wife, boy who wasn't rooting for Marcus to give that other vamp a right kickin which he did

Even if it hadn't been cancelled, the show probably would have ended that year anyway. The main actor, Mark Frankel died in a motorcycle accident in September of the year it was airing.

I stopped watching Blade because it's on a weird night for me, most of the time I forget to watch it. I agree that it could have been a much better show if it was just about the vamps. Or even, just another actor to play Blade.

I'm willing to give Kirk Jones the benefit of the doubt in terms of developing his own persona for Blade. I think the writers and directors are doing the smart thing though and developing all of the other characters, making them interesting and running various plot lines all simultaneously. It rewards people that watch the series consistently. Plus it keeps Blade from getting too much air time as some of his scenes are just painful to watch.

I agree that the vampire house storyline so far is good and holds a lot of promise. I'm hoping they don't start doing the monster-of-the-week filler stuff too often as this week's story was partially advertised, but at least the detox angle could be fun.

I've been tuning into the last 3 episodes and I'm liking what I see. Not perfect, but still entertaining.

I'm too lazy to go online and watch early shows I missed (Keep on hearing that they ain't that good anyway)
