From where I'm sitting, Toby seems to have pulled away from everybody else by a wide margin these past few weeks. I don't even watch Dilana or Storm's performances anymore, just FF through them.

However, I do feel that the fix is in with Loukas. NO WAY he deserved the free pass he got tonight.

I am so tired of hearing about Dilana's "tough couple of weeks". What a drama queen! SHE is the one who said mean and hurtful things to others and they way she is carrying on now like she is some sort of victim in all this is so narcissistic. Get over yourself Dilana!
Lukas just sucks.

I agree about Dilana going overboard. Yes, you screwed up, get over it. Stop bringing it up multiple times each show.
Thought that Toby was head and shoulders above everyone else tonight.
What did you mean about the houseband and Dilana, magiccmom? I tend to fastforward most of the non-performance elements, so maybe I missed something. Or was it during the performance?

But Suffergette City was terrible. She couldn't stay on key, and the song was way over her head vocally, which is pretty bad considering it's the one Bowie song that really doesn't do that much. She was low when she should have been high, high when she should have been low, it was really bad.
But she looked great and OWNED the stage. She might be the best performer of the whole lot.

Storm
Dilana
Dilana might have her swan song tonight. I think they will only carry one of the females into the finale and Storm's original last night probably put her there. If Storm escapes the bottom three, then it's sealed for her.

Interesting night...
Dilana - Two average performances. The only thing memorable was the hopping thing. While it's admirable she still wanted to "rock out" with a busted foot, it looked kinda silly.
Magni - Not bad, but the original didn't impress me songwise. It was a great showcase for his vocals, but pretty generic modern hard rock.
Storm - Great stage performance for Suffragette City with Dave, although her vocals were still unimpressive. I hated her song though... it was like a C-level rejected Pink track.
Lukas - Did not care for his version of Living on a Prayer. The chorus just did not work there. It not only deflated what makes the song work, it also exposed more weaknesses in his voice. His original I enjoyed a lot, however. I thought it was perfect for him and was the second best of the night.
Toby - His Killers cover was okay, but bland. He brought nothing to the song - good or bad. His voice sort of detracted from the song, just not a good fit for me. His original, however, was excellent. Instantly catchy song with great energy. The only bad news is I thought his vocals were the least effective part of that performance. Not enough to negatively effect the performance, but part of me was thinking "This would sound amazing with a different singer."

Is that what he was singing? Seriously? He butchered the song. All I heard was "Muurrrmuh duh derr ivvvinnnngggonna where".
I think the band is going to pick the person with the least likelihood of making it in a solo career (hi, Lukas) and they will produce the best of the rest.
I loved Magni's fuck you to Tommy.
"Why did those two songs sound like you?"
"Uh, because they were both sung by me."

storm definitely killed on the performance side. but the vocals suffered, and she was definitely out of breath at the beginning of her original. and why in the hell did she say "what the what" instead of "What the fuck?" i would have liked it better with bleeps. "what the what" sounded dumb. aside from that, i liked her original. and her outfit was cool. and dave is better than gilby.
i also liked lukas' original. while not that diverse lyrically (just repeated a lot of stuff), it sounded good. the "you make my headspin" line sounded great. i think he missed the boat with "livin' on a prayer". he should have started out with it stripped down, then hit the second verse and chorus with the full band. would have sounded a lot better, and still showed that he could change it up.
dilana was AWFUL. talk about a fall from grace.
toby was entertaining, especially in his original. but i agree about the vocals. not that strong. and he annoyed the crap out of me on Mr. Brightside, how he kept wanting the audience to sing the "Mr. Brightside" part. maybe have them do that once... maybe twice. but you have to sing it at least once! come on! i don't care what the audience sounds like.
magni was kind of generic. i do understand what tommy was saying. the performance was the same. just walking back and forth on the stage jut-out. kinda boring.
i'd say it goes in this order for me:
storm (i'm definitely surprised)
toby
lukas
magni
dilana
on a side note, i received ryan star's solo album in the mail yesterday. i am definitely digging it. 20 songs, stripped down. he sounds great.

Lukas is a total tool how could he screw up Living on a Prayer like that, I kept turning up my tv to see if I could understand a word he said. I did like his original song better, I really enjoyed Magni he is the most genuine of the remaining bunch. Dilana has to go what a drama queen, enough poor me this song is about me.

So here's what I think for the finale (I have no real knowledge):
We are going in with four finalists. Each sings a song of their choice. One is eliminated. Each sings a song the band picks for them. One is eliminated. The final two sing with Supernova. Band picks who gets the gig.
Here's what I think happens:
Encore - Toby (original)
Plays with Band - Storm (but it would not surprise me if it was Magni)
Goes Home - Dilana
Finale:
First to go: Storm
Second to go: Magni
Finale: Toby WINS (unless the fix is in)
BTW - these are just my opinions based on how things are playing out. Clearly, in a perfect world, these results would be much different.

I finally figured out who Storm reminds me of and it was right in front of me. She is basically a female version of T. Lee. I'll have to say her original was pretty good. It was catchy. She did butcher Suffragette City though. Magni might just be the best cover singer I have ever seen. He's been able to adapt his voice to any artist. I loved his two lines last night "I'm an angry little man" and "because they were both sung by me". I hope that Dilana goes tonight. She seemed reserved to that fact last night with her speech before her original. I think Toby is the perfect fit for the band.
