Dude, you're getting really annoying trying to get people to notice that you have "inside knowledge". Congrats, now shut the fuck up and stop talking about shit that's coming in future episodes.

I don't know if he really knows or not, but if so he should take that shit elsewhere. I like to enjoy the show as it is aired, not reading about it beforehand.

I guess this provides a possible explanation to the reason for the blast doors. Perhaps the person(s) in the control center need a way to lock the test subjects in while supplies are delivered. The blast doors keep them from getting out to see the delivery, and the people in charge come and collect.

Why would you just automatically assume you're on an island, and not on the coastline or peninsula of a continent?
It's been a while since I've seen the first Rousseau episode--did her map specifically show that it was an island?

Judge: I sentence you to a lifetime of horror on Monster Island. Don't worry, it's just a name.
[Cut to Lisa and others being chased by fire-breathing monsters]
Lisa: He said it was just a name!
Man: What he meant is that Monster Island is actually a peninsula.

I'd say last night pretty well debunked that what's going on now is a big psychological experiment.
I suppose it still could be, but it would be pretty lame to have the videos talking about a psych experiment in 1980 just be a cover for the current experiment. Seems more like they ended up on an island that was host to an experiment went wrong 26 years ago (and much more interesting IMO).

The others are probably the last group of participants before the experiment went kablooie.

I think Libby's "death" is interesting as to how it pertains to Hurley's luck, or lack therefore of... He finds a hot chick he likes that likes him back, then she's shot "dead" before they can even have their date.
And I use quotes around dead, because I also find it interesting that she happens to "die" in an episodes where the flashback is about someone who comes back from the dead...

Also, the whole 'psychological experiment' thing reinforces my sneaking suspicion that we're witnessing an entirely new phenomenon in television writing. Let's say these guys mine the internet message boards for promising theories to incorporate into the plot. Anymore, if you throw a crazy event or premise into a show like this, there are instantly tens, if not hundreds, of theories posted to the internet as possible explanations. These range from idiotic to really quite intelligent and interesting. What if the writers just throw out ideas and then pick their favorite fan-generated explanations to incorporate into the show? Kind of a choose-your-own-adventure, but on a huge scale.

If so, why are they still inputting the numbers? Why the blast doors? Why the food drop? Why is the power still running in the hatch? Shouldn't they have stopped that, or shut the station down? Why are there people on the island putting on costumes?

Just for the record - the only "inside" knowledge I have is from reading other forums and bringing that info here. I don't claim to have anymorem and have NEVER claimed otherwise.
This is a discussion forum - I'm bringing info to the table to discuss. If you don't want to read it - don't. But I would never ruin this show for the members of this forum without spoilerizing it, and I will continue to bring over info from other sites (spoilerized), which you or anyone else here can take or leave.

What REALLY strange is that if the Others were part of the experiment, why wouldn't they be populating the hatches? They act as if they don't even know they are there.

The Hanso commercial had a tiny (c) Sprite in the corner of it for a few seconds. Obviously it's a Lost tie in, but it's also a Sprite commercial.
Be sure to drink you're ovaltine? It's a crummy commercial!

He was limping because it was John's dream. He was seeing himself in the dream as Eko. The limp was his.
