I think that the producers of the View have underestimated how many people are sick of Rosie. I know a couple of die hard fans (one who actually came out largely because of Rosie) that can't stomach her anymore.

I can't remember the exact quotes, but she pretty much called Star a liar for not owning up to having gastric bypass surgery. Star has been very coy about her dramatic weight loss and has attributed it to "Pilates" and "portion control" and Rosie was on one of the Entertainment shows and basically said "Bullshit". I think Rosie might have also said something about Star's sham wedding to a gay man also.

I expect, feelings of most of us aside, it'll be a smart move and a solid boost to the show. Rosie's gotten mostly bad press since leaving daytime TV, but she can play smarmy media darling as well as any other well-seasoned TV talk star. She'll have the View audience in love with her almost immediately, and she can probably overpower any conflict with the rest of the cast.

I was being sarcastic.

I really can't stand this show, and this just breathes new life into that hatred.

This could be some of the greatest television ever. Maybe Rosie can go old school Ozzy Osbourne on Elizabeth and bite her head off.
