They shoot as much film as a 45 minute drama. Work just as much as those in those hour long shows. 10 hour days 5-6 days a week. A LOT of work goes into this show. Sitcoms are a drop in the bucket compared to that.

I think I read somewhere that it's because they go outdoors so much. I could be wrong, but I saw that somewhere.
