What happened before the Tailies got there? So what do you think, Anna Lucia shot somebody before Shannon, and is just pointing a spent weapon at everyone else? Who the hell is that supposed to scare? Then she shows up right after Shannon was shot, pointing that same empty weapon? Remember, there was only one gun shot that we heard.
I don't think A-L was lying about how many bullets where in the gun. Why would she do that? She's using it to protect the group from "the others".

I don't get the signifigance of M-Rod not having sleeves? What does that have to do with anything?

re: the sleeves. I have no clue. The image isn't mine, I found it on another board. I think that they are just saying that the shadowy figure facing Sayid is Ana.

Well it's clear we are BOTH speculating my friend. Neither of us saw Ana shoot Shannon. You say she did, I say she didn't. BOTH speculation, without alot of proof (using your words).

I can tell you one thing - it's not original to point a spent gun at a person when your nerves are fried. At worst, they think you have a loaded gun for enough time for you to do something else. Also . Most people wouldn't know a spent gun from a loaded one, at night, in the rain, in the woods, with a dying person in front of them. Sayid might, but Ana doesn't know him from anyone.

No, what I know think is that Ana shot the person/thing that IS responsible for killing Shannon, not Shannon herself. You are damn right, that's speculation, without alot of proof, but frankly, that's all ANY of us has right now.

I'm guessing it is implying Shannon's wound looks more like a cut/stab/puncture than a single gunshot.

the wound was a long in length wound not what would appear to be caused by a bulet.

nevermind. So now we think that Shannon got stabbed and Ann shot or shot at the killer and the killer got away without being seen, whithout making a noise and while having people close in on him/her.

I think the sleeves thing is this: Ana is wearing a tank top and the figure facing Sayid/dead Shannon in the other picture has longer sleeves. At least I think that is it.

Have to agree with Boogieman. There was a crazy woman with an itchy trigger finger running through the jungle from the Others whom just snatched one of their own. She was ready to use that bullet.

Maybe Shannon's wound is funny-shaped because it's an EXIT wound? I've never actually seen one, but it might explain the weird shape of it.

I thought it was a little over the top for Boone's first line in the flashbacks..."Doesn't dying suck..." :-)

After the events in the end of the episode combined with his own death it makes that line funny as shit. Nice catch, it didn't even hit me when he said it.

Ana didn't shoot Shaanon (I hate MR too, but I have to be fair). The wound looked more like a stake wound. remeber the body Jin found when looking for Michael w/ Ecko? Stake through the chest... I think she shot AT an OTHER. She said 1 bullet wouldn't do any good against them; but maybe she shot in reaction hoping toi scare them.

As for Shannon being the one that died; I hated this. The episode seemed to be like, hey, let's write a story about killing the actress that was giving us problems. Translates to don't question the powers that be or your off the show. JJ has too much power. LOST killed Boone which I thought was great. It said "no one is safe" it set up to develop Shannon's character. Wow, where can this go... NOWHERE. She was hardly used the rest of last season (which was fine because she hadn't been used much prior to Boone's death) but then she was hardly used this season either. Her and Sayid got REALLY close over the few days since they went into the hatch. I realize we are not with every character for every minute; but that relationship went A LONG WAY (and I don't mean just cuz they slept together, they had more of an emotional connection than just that). Shannon was never given the opportunity to become a better character after Boone's death and now, what was the point of the 2 characters at all?

i agree about sayid and shannon's relationship. I mean, the "I Love You" seemed like it came out of nowhere.
