I was wondering they had the t-shirts with the catchphrases, and the 3rd one was DirecTV, and like I said earlier they didn't show all the bits from the trailer. esp the George Michael bit.

I just saw the "Extras" finale and I ultimately really liked it ("ultimately" being the keyword). Although there were some good funny moments in it, as it was going on, I didn't like how Andy was being such a self-centered jerk for most of it and totally oblivious to Maggie's suffering (another thing I wasn't liking because a funny character was completely somber and serious). The Andy in this was a complete contrast to the way he was in previous episodes of the show in which he's generally a nice guy who has terribly uncomfortable things happen to him, so that one would feel sympathetic to him. In this finale, though, he's so self-centered that one couldn't feel sorry for him no matter what happened to him.
However, the whole thing was just a setup for the last scene in which Andy realized what he has become, so "ultimately" it worked very well as a way to wrap up the show.

I thought it was excellent. I think the changes in Andy and Maggie were natural ones. Andy was never a "good" guy, he's just been forced to be humble and that makes him sympathetic. His success offered him a small window to go mad with his (limited) power and he did, just like most would. Maggie's realization that her life was wasted and her dreams would never be lived of course turned her character upside down. The best part for me was when Andy realized his dream was no dream, just a way to avoid manual labor or dedication to another craft. Extras was a great series and no, it wasn't the Office, but I doubt anything will get to that level again for a while.

Outstanding series finale IMO. Sure, Andy was a real prick. But he redeemed himself nicely at the end. Several scenes nearly brought me to tears. Specifically the one's with Ashley Jensen. She absolutely broke my heart. Brilliant performance.

Subtle differences in the UK/US Versions.
The George Michael scene is as it was in the trailer. ie the bit about the Catherine Tate Show, and in the opening with the various t-shirts, the last one was a Victoria Wood tee and not Directv

I think there were a couple of others, too, but I can't recall them at the moment.
