They did say they would have daily episodes, just like on the E! Network. The great thing they said was they won't do multipart episodes, but episodes will range from anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours etc. Who knows what it will be like in the end, but so far it sounds pretty good.
This is exactly what I wanted... Now can I watch this on Cablevision? or am I going to have to sit infront of my computer monitor for over 1hr. I hope I can recline and watch on the big screen - not some dumpy computer.
Thanks for the clarification

SOL - This is not on Cablevision only on Time Warner.
So let's recap... he could have went to Showtime or HBO in which everyone - both cable and satelite owners have access to...
or cater only to Comcast, Cox, and Time Warner customers.
EDIT: I found this on their site: The company’s shareholders are Comcast iN DEMAND Holdings, Inc., Cox Communications, Inc. Time Warner Entertainment –

True - you make a point...
But if you want DTV - you can go out and buy it.. it's not a monopoly thing (I know some people can't get DTV because of trees etc.. )
Oh well...

This is a mistake... he either needs free radio to generate interest for PPV tv or he needs free tv to generate interest for pay radio.

Unless HBO or SHO = free tv, I disagree. It would be ludicrous to have an uncensored radio broadcast and a (network) censored television show.

Cancel is'nt the right word. The contract was up, they decided not to renew because howard was'nt gonna allow the show to be watered down further. It's more like it was'nt renewed because they couldnt come to an agreement, not that they out and out cancelled it. Man the E channel is soooo worthless now its not even funny. What dumb bastards running that network.

This is far from what happened. Stern's E show is/was the 4 highest rated time slots on the E network. I bet the Post left that out of their story.
Stern's E Show contract ended and was up for renewal. They were in negotiations to renew the show and things did not work out. The show was not "canceled" the same way that a poorly performing show is canceled. Stern mentioned that the new management was trying to change the direction (or something like that) of E. Stern decided to move on to something that he thinks is bigger/better.
Personally I wish they would have worked things out and stayed with the E show.

In Demand will carry Stern's TV show for cable subscribers

NEW YORK -- It's not just on radio that Howard Stern will be testing out a new technology.
The In Demand Networks, which provides video-on-demand content to cable TV companies, said Wednesday it reached an agreement to carry the televised version of Stern's program, shown for 11 years on the E! Entertainment network.
Stern's popular radio show, heard in Chicago on WCKG-FM (105.9), is moving to Sirius Satellite Radio from ''free'' radio in January.
The In Demand show will contain edited highlights of his radio program, available in the evening the day after it originally airs. Unlike E!, it will be uncensored, In Demand spokesman Eric Duncan said.
Interested viewers can get the show by subscribing to it. The subscription fee hasn't been set, Duncan said.
In Demand is currently available in about 15 million of the nation's 110 million homes with television, and is expected to grow by about 5 million per year.
