The next 3 eliminated in no particular order: Suz, Ty, Jordis. Those three are a distinct cut below the others when it comes to possibly winning this competition. Maybe for fan interest the band, INXS, will drag one into the final three, but they won't win. No way.

I'm thinking all three are an impossibility for different reasons. Suzie's not going to get folks to see INXS. Ty's voice and style isn't suited for INXS. Jordis, I believe, thinks INXS is corny--that's my opinion. And really with her voice; her failure to get "Dream On" made her look positively childish.

At this point, I'm hoping for one or two more JD crash n' burns, Marty to get better--and hopefully MIG to recede.

Maybe if Jordis had let up on the smokes for more than 5 minutes before the show she could have hit the note.

I think it will be:
6: Ty
5: Jordis

I have a feeling that they may carry Suzie into the top three to make it seem like a women really had a shot at it. That would leave either JD or Marty as number 4. I will say JD, as less and less are left, the drama that he adds will become not as important. So:

4. JD
3. Suzie

I would prefer Marty to win because he would seem more interesting, but INXS will probably go the safe route with MIG.

2. Marty
1. MIG

Who knows though with the fan voting aspect.

I unfortunately agree about them feeling a woman needs to be in the Top 3 for appearance's sake. My ideal Top 3 would be MiG, Marty and J.D.

I'm going with the same as I stated in post 402 of this thread:

Jessica
Deanna
Ty
Suzie
JD
Jordis
Marty
MiG

Jordis will not be in the bottom 3 until the very end. If she wasn't in it this week, she's not going to be for a while. I'm also guessing they change it to the final 2 soon. I personally can't stand Suzie. I can't pin point it but she just annoys the hell out of me.

Maybe I'm naive, and maybe its because she's from my neck of the woods, but I think people are being pretty hard on Jordis. Yes, she sucked last week, thats for sure, but I think the last 3 songs she's done have been very hard.

She had a great performance of Man Who Sold The World, then the next 3 weeks have been horrible songs for her. Layla, Knockin' on Heavens Door and Deam On. All are hard for different reasons. I think with the right songs, she'll make a huge jump next week and become a "favorite" again.

To date, her doing Heart Shape Box is the best performance of the season so far. She needs more rockin' tunes like that.

The problem as I see it, Is that the last few weeks she seems like someone who does not understand the songs she's singing. Her version of "Knockin on Heavens" door was all smiles, fluffy and pretty, a performance more suited to "Don't Worry Be Happy".

I don't think her not being able to hit that note on "Dream On" is what hurt the song, so much as her dull listless approach to everything preceding it, I actually thought that once she botched the note and went out of tune, she was a lot better for the last 20 seconds or so of the song, as she seemed to finally stop worrying about vocals.

Going by the show up to this point my top 3 would be

Marty
Suzie
Jordis

Mig - while seemingly a nice guy, does not seem to have a whole lot of range as a singer.

Ty - I would like Ty a lot more if I only heard him and did not see him. Visually he is a very generic and forced performer.

JD- He seems to be very talented with the arranging of songs, but as a performer, I just find him to be very forgettable.

I do feel that it's time they stop giving these people songs that in no way relate to INXS. They really should focus more on INXS stuff or at least other pop-rock groups like REM, U2, Bowie.

Liked the idea of studio recording. Man, Suzie REALLY is impressing me more and more each week. What a surprise from the start of the series. Way to go JD... you sure back up your words about how badly you want the gig with this band, INXS.

When Dave Navarro came to tell them about this week's "clinic", my first thought was methadone.

Suzie is nuts, fighting to sing Bohemian Rhapsody and then figuring out later that it's not easy to sing. That song is totally wrong for her! She should have let Mig have it, he would have done a great job.

If they could combine Marty and Mig into one person, they'd have it.

I think this is how it went:

Jordis -- "Imagine"
Marty -- "Wish You Were Here" (Pink Floyd, not Incubus)
Suzie -- "Bohemian Rhapsody"
Ty -- “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”
JD -- "Suspicious Minds”
MiG -- "Live and Let Die"

I looks like they are doing a request week coming up. You can go to the shows home page and request a song for each one to sing. They have like 4 songs they already have done and 1 wildcard which seems to be a song they wanted to do earlier in the show but ended up letting someone else sing it. Here's the link:

Not sure why they still have Deanna listed but you can click across the top to request for each singer.

Suzie was the only one in the studio who impressed me. JD did too--he really impressed me with his meltdown. Geez, if he's not ready for the Laughing Academy, no one is.

Well, the cuts to JD passed out on the couch added to his meltdown in the studio. Gotta love the editing.

Well thats pretty much worthless, everyone is voting for the wild card for every singer.

I did notice that there were several shots of all the singers, except JD, huddled around the piano trying to learn the song together. The editing was Real Worldish to some extent, but maybe just an exaggeration of the truth.

I was actually hoping that would be the case. Far more interesting giving them songs they wanted to do at some point but didn't rather than stuff we've already heard (twice in some cases due to encores).

Not one person has anything to say about the show? Maybe EST thing?

Anyway, I'll tell you, JD and Mig were the two best by far. Suzie did alot better than I thought she would, but her voice really needs more growl. I'm now convinced Marty just can't sing at all. Ty is more showman than musician. And as for Jordis, girl needs to stop making up her own melodies. I swear she has no sense of rhythm.

Well gang......what did you think???

I think Jordys redeemed herself....Suzie, Mig, Ty and Marty were amazing......I closed my eyes and listened to JD - and he's good, but not as good as the others.....I hope he's going home - CAN NOT STAND his attitude.

I would hate to be INXS and having to make the decisions - they are all good. But I agree with those who say it will likely be Mig....he seems to be pulling ahead of the rest. And I hate to admit it, but I don't think they are gonna go with a female as the lead singer, either.

Jordis was good. Better than she's been.
Marty was excellent.
Suzie was fun.
Mig was boring.
Ty was boring.
JD was terrible.

ok, American Idol has never made me feel this way after a show... some great performances.

in my opinion, all the performances were at least good, even JD (and I hate JD).

But if I had to pick a bottom 3, it would be JD, Mig, and Ty.

JD's just wasn't as good as everyone else's, and as Gil said, Ty and Mig were good, but more vanilla than the others. if it were just bottom two, i'd have to say JD and Mig. And JD's attitude and antics on stage or ridiculous.

i thought Suzie would BOMB. i was dead wrong. she killed that song (in a good way of course).

Very powerful performances from Marty (who showed he can sing after all) and Jordis (is she finally back on track?). i literally got chills during both of those performances.

If I had to rank, I'd say (personal opinion)

1 - Marty
2 - Suzie (close behind Marty)
3 - Jordis (close behind Suzie)
4 - Ty
5 - Mig
6 - JD

of course, part of the reason these performances were so good, and I got chills, was the band/choir/string & horn section. I recognize that.

ok, how full of shit is JD? "oh, i didn't learn the song because I want INXS to tell me what to do." that guy has an excuse for EVERYTHING. i'm not exactly sure what INXS is looking for, but i'm pretty sure it's not a lap dog. but hey, maybe it is, so they can lead him around like a puppet.
