I missed the last few years, when the cast seemed to change on a yearly basis.

In it's time, it was a great show.
i don't remember any of that... i forget that kelly from saved by the bell was even on in (referring to another post) i really hope they get dvd treatment.. how awesome would a weekend marathan trying to fit as many episodes back to back as you can... i seen the pilot about 4 weeks ago it was great.. and i agree the high school years was the best but the college life isn't bad.

And just to clear up i think the saturday morning run is airing a different set of episodes than the daily 5pm run... i'm not sure where they are in the season on the saturday mornings.. i usually fall asleep before i can reach the 7am mark.

lizzie mcguire mini marathon ends at 4:30am by that time i am pooped and ready to crash usually.. although lately i can't sleep so i might be able to catch this weekends episodes.

although this discussion was only meant for the weekday run.

Here's a song for donna "Love Dump" by Static-X.

gotta give it to her she is one hell of a girlfriend... david is out of control.. he's crossed the boundaries and is dead to the world.. was that "Bojesse Christopher" as the drug dealer today from "Meatballs 4"? hahaha insane.

Brandon and the professor's ex-wife? brandon, brandon, brandon what the hell is he thinking.. not one to make bad decisions i gotta think he's losing his mind after this.

bah the weekend... weekends suck i like when things are on every day at the same time now the weekend is total chaos and by the time monday comes it's like being put through the grinder.

aaghh and here's a song for david right off the same album this should be david and donna's wedding album

static-x "fix"

I haven't seen the show for years, i think it would have dated

Luke Perry earned back a bit of respect from me for his performance in Jeremiah

Donna was such a pain in a butt and i'm still scratching my head about how David went from geek to cool.

Nothing was bigger than the first few seasons of Melrose Place.

90210 = Best. Show. Ever.

I try to watch 90210 and Melrose Place every week day on Soapnet at 5pm and 6pm EST. This Friday is the series finale for Melrose Place, so it will start back from the beginning on Monday.

I just posted in the "when is 90210 coming to DVD thread." Basically, no new news yet on a DVD release.

Professor Finley. That story line is airing this week at 5:00 pm ET on SoapNet. (I think it ends on Thursday or Friday) Valerie is going after Ray is another story line.

The episodes that air on Saturday morning are different than what airs on weekdays. They are in high school in those. (Last weekend one of them was the shooting at the football game.)

As for Melrose Place, glad the run is ending on Friday and the first season starts on Monday. (Now those promos they keep airing with Jake/Allison/Billy/Matt etc saying the show airs at 6:00 pm ET will be correct!) watching this final season, it would drive you nuts keeping track of who slept with who and how many times!

LB...

Beverly Hills 90210 - How do you think it has held up over the years ?

I'm currently making my way through series 3, well cool having 30+ episode seasons back then !

90210 was the OC of the 90s, or the OC was the 90210 of the 00s

I'm actually really enjoying it, sure the fashions have dated a bit and it's a tad cheesy, but the stories are still fun to watch and there is a lot of morality built in.

What really dates the show is the after credit shameless promotion of the flavour of the week music artist. Seeing Donna go "ooo Jeremy Jordan" then fade into 'the right kind of love' makes you wanna baff.

I think it's held up pretty well, although the post-college stuff (S8-S10) is virtually unwatchable.

Any 90210 with Shannen Doherty is great. I wouldn't dare watch the later seasons on DVD, in fact, I'd probably break them

It hasn't. It's charm is that I grew up watching it and it serves its nostalgia purposes.

I just wish Brandon would give me my car keys back. I'm plenty calm.

The stuff that was good back then still holds up now. The post college stuff and all of the melodrama that came after was bad then and it's horrible now.

It’s a little cheesy but all in all it’s held up pretty good. Like many others, the later seasons are pretty much unwatchable.
I’d watching Beverly Hills 90210 over The OC any day. I can’t stand those whiny bitches on The OC. Shannon Doherty & Jennie Garth= .

I used to watch it... in 6th grade. Now I can't even stomach the thought of watching an episode. But I can understand why the show might still have it's fans.

I agree. Seth became so annoying after the first season.

It was the series that basically started the teen drama genre (I could be wrong), but all the issues that the show tackled are still relevant today, but it ushered in all the other shows just like it such as The OC, Dawson's Creek, and One Tree Hill.

I grew up watching "Dawson's Creek" through middle school/high school and "One Tree Hill" through the end of high school till now currently in college and I really like the teen soap genre, lol. I remembered my siblings watching this series when I was a todler (there is 13 and 15 years separating my sisters and I), but didn't remember anything. I bought the first season DVD and actually really enjoyed the series, although it does seem a little dated by comparison to OTH or DC. But I've been catching seasons 2 and 3 in repeats and I have to say I'm really enjoying the series. Although I've heard once the twins leave it gets rather horrible...

I'm still upset that Brandon and Kelly broke up and she ended up with Dylan at the very end

Haha, sad but very very true. I'm kinda shocked that Shannon Doherty, Brian Austen Green, and Tori Spelling are my favorites so far - well into season 3...

I stopped watching after Season 7, which I really liked. But when Brandon dumped Tracy to go back to Kelly, I knew the show would regress. Brandon was the last likeable character and they destroyed that by having him be an asshole to Tracy.

Yeah - I really found that annoying too. Plus I couldn't stand Kelly once she got to college, and Tracy was so much hotter than Kelly.

Great show; silly high school depiction, though.
