I had that reaction too but then I was encouraged to see that Carrie was actually playing real chords comfortably. I wonder if she has any talent for writing original songs.

That was a shame, I liked Anwar, though he wasn't one of the top 3 in my opinion.

The top three are... Carrie, Constantine, and Bo, with either Constantine or Bo getting the boot, then the other losing to Carrie.

I'm thinking that Scott will *finally* get the boot next week, but then again he must have some strong fan base out there. The fat vote, I guess. So, I'd have to go with Vonzell or Federov leaving next week.

Bo Bice is not an American Idol. He is better suited to be frontman of a shitty alternative rock band.

And quite a few people who aren't women and aren't over 60, or had that possibility not occurred to you? Some of us actually find him to be much more talented than Scott, with his affected performances.

While I've never commented on Paula's behavior, it seems that she is finally forced to come out with her "story". "Entertainment Tonight" will have a story about her tomorrow (Thursday), preceding her cover story on People magazine out Friday. After all the rumors about her problems, she is talking about the accidents which left her in terrible pain, and why she "disappeared" from the public eye for a long time.

(I'm presuming the pain continues to this day, and she must be taking painkillers constantly. While this may be behind her behavior, one can certainly be overmedicating on prescribed drugs. . .)

In any case, I'm glad she's finally saying something, because some of the talk has been pretty harsh.

I think you're taking my comment way too personally. I never said it was an exhaustive list, and besides, it's all just opinion.

If this is the only week Scorcho saw this season I could see why he'd think they're the worst. 70s "dance music" week wasn't exactly a high point. I think Carrie is probably the most talented singer they've ever had, but she hasn't been very good the last couple weeks.

I agree with twikoff, the bottom 3 were all the correct choices for a change, although I think Anwar was the best of the three. I thought Anthony had one of his best performances this time, yet he was still in the bottom three. I take that as a good sign, because he deserved to go about a month ago. I don't think him or Scott have any shot at getting to the final.

but he doesnt know how to use his talent.. his constant oversinging on EVERY song he did was just giving me a headache.
He even oversang his roles in the group songs

the bottom 3 from week 1.. all went in the first 3 weeks
the 2 others that were in the bottom 3 in week 3 (when the final original reject left) are now gone

and anthony is the only person that was in the bottom 3, over the first 3 weeks.. and hasnt been kicked yet... (GET THE HELL OUT ANTHONY!)

if this trend continues.. Anthony should go next, and Scott or Vonzell should follow. (Scott makes more sense, after a 3rd straight week in the bottom 3)

Paula Abdul wants you to know that, if you spot her on American Idol dancing or interrupting Simon or doing something else spontaneous or offbeat, it's just because she's happy not to be in pain anymore. She told People magazine, in the cover story of the upcoming issue, that she's never been addicted to drugs, but she has finally been treated with a prescription drug that relieves the chronic pain from which she's suffered for 25 years. She told the magazine that it was only last year that she was finally diagnosed with a rare neurological ailment called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, a disease that reportedly affects as many as 1 million Americans, most of them women.

Abdul said she's suffered chronic pain since a cheerleading accident at age 17 left her neck with an injured disc. In the 1980s and early '90s, she said, she endured ''a couple of car accidents'' and a plane crash that led to seizures, bulimia, and depression. She underwent 12 surgeries but found that most pain medication left her so ''loopy'' that she chose to tough it out without them. She said the pain is what ultimately kept her from performing and led to her long absence from the limelight for much of the '90s. Last year, however, she was diagnosed with her ailment, also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, and she began taking Enbrel, a drug usually prescribed to treat rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.

She told People she hid her condition from her fellow Idol judges but decided to speak out because of rumors that she was an addict. ''It was getting ugly with the lies people were saying,'' Abdul told Entertainment Tonight. ''It was time to set the record straight. My Top 6 In Order:

1. Bo Bice: The only one that doesn't seem to be "trying". He just gets up, does HIS thing, and sings songs he likes...and sings/performs them fairly well.

2. Vonzell: At least she is fun to watch. She sings OK...not into most of the music on this show but for what she sings it's OK...and she puts on a show!

3. Carrie: ...I guess? Same crap I hear whenever I turn on the radio...but for what she signs and her style she is good I guess. Horrible outfits though...she still thinks it's the 80's.

the rest:
Constantine Maroulis...gross! he is a sleaze ball man! how can people like this guy...he tries way too hard. billy idol already used the lip thing, he can stop with that! and when he squints and gives the "magnum and blue steel look" that zoolander made popular...man that makes me want to puke.

Anthony Federov...he can't even sing. how is he here? talk about off pitch!

scott...emotionless to me. i like him better than the other two listed above but how will he ever be able to give a concert, etc?

ok.. some people will argue for constantine to go.. but listen to all those little girls hoot and holler when they mention him on the show.. He isnt going anywhere for awhile.

as mentioned above.. Bo, Carrie, & Vonzell stand out as the top 3.. and its been that way for most of the time (since we cut to final 12)..

Constantine could win this... But if he does, there will have been at least 7 or 8 better singers in the top 12, and 3 that deserved it more.

Only Constant-mug and Carrie have never been to the bottom three so I would imagine that they are 2 of the likely top3. I have a feeling that Vonzell's support is soft so I would not be surprised if next week, it is Anthony, Scott and Vonzell/Bo. The producers can continue to pimp Bo but I don't think it will be enough unless they resort to throwing out votes as they admitted to doing in the past.

It's not like it had a high bar to go over... but I agree, it was pretty cool (though it took me a little while to identify some of them). Almost makes up for that muppet one that still gives me nightmares...

The whole time, I was thinking what if they were swerving us again, and the bottom 3 were really Carrie, Constantine, and Vonzell? I think I would've given up on the show right then and there...

I just don't get all the hate for Anthony. People here seem to hate him worse than Mikalah. Mikalah couldn't sing and had a extremely irritating personality. Anthony strikes me as an everyday likeable guy who seems to be humble and can sing - most of the time pretty well. He isn't out of tune. I never hear "pitchy" comments about him from the judges. Most of the time it is only Simon who berates him with the usual "kareoke" comments .

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think he is the best, nor will he win. He just isn't nearly as bad as some folks here make him out to be.

I still like Anthony's voice, and I think he's finally settled in a groove performance-wise. He does remind me of singers like John Secada, which, to me, is pretty soothing vocal-wise.

I've been scratching my head over this too. Anthony actually has a very good voice, with surprising range. I don't think he will win because, as good as his voice is, he doesn't have much stage style (like that really sells that many CDs anyway). You might say he is more substance than style. He will do well as a vocalist, just not as a pop vocalist. People like Constantine, on the other hand, are far more about style than substance, which is why the young girls in the audience go all David Cassidy on him every week when he mugs for the camera.

I think Scott has the same style versus substance problem as Constantine, but with him it feels much more forced and affected, and that is kind of disappointing. His voice isn't that bad (though certainly not of the same caliber as Vonzell, Bo, Carrie, or Anthony), and my wife and I were really pulling for him before the top 12 were picked. He seemed like a regular guy, pretty humble, and with voice that belied his appearance. But then he started putting on this attitude, and he quickly lost his appeal for us (not to mention that it has caused his performances to suffer).

With all that said, I will be very surprised if the top three doesn't include Bo, Vonzell and Carrie. All of them have good mixes of vocal talent and stage presence, and each has a unique style that will make the competition very interesting to watch.
