I did notice that Seacrest pulled back from that hug. Trying to quell the rumors, eh Ryan?

Simon isn't very good at math. The chorus was about 2/3rds of what he sang, and Scott absolutely nailed the chorus. He sang the Hall part of the song as well as anything I've heard this season.

Yeah and what is it with Anwar singing songs that were original sung by women, I think this makes 3.

We'll know for sure when he picks a Streisand song.

Why do they need an entire hour to tell us who gets this boot tonight?

(People have suggested that it's to tank NBC's Relevations premiere. Hee hee.)

I was in Costco, and there's a DVD for voice coaching from Randy and Paula. I stood there, with my mouth agaped, asking myself not only "How?" but "Why?"

Paula's so out of control at times, like a giddy schoolgirl after eating half a box of chocolates on a sugar rush.

Carrie sang like she was sorting of sitting on an imaginary barstool, and then wiggled her hips on it. I really do think she's feeling the pressure to slim down too. She's almost as awkward to look at gyrating-wise as Clay Aiken.

Anyone notice that Vonzell has as many dances moves as Whitney Houston (i.e. not many)? LOL! I don't find her vocals as sharp, but what she lacks is distinctiveness. Her performances remind me of Star Search sometimes, awkwardly. She hasn't quite figured out how to own the stage.

After ANY performance I'll lay odds you will hear the following:
Randy Jackson]You know what dog? I thought you chose a safe song man. You started out a little pitchy at first... but you came out and you did your thing. I was feeling you dog, I was feeling you.
And...
Paula Abdul]I have GOOSEBUMPS! You are a STAAARRR! I'll see you in the finals! Every week you have gotten BETTER and BETTER! I am so PROUD of you! I LOVE YOU!
Disgusting. IMO these 2 are by FAR the WORST personalities on TV and yet they remain on 1 of TV's highest rated shows. Just another sign that the world is going to Hell in a handbasket. I'm eagerly anticipating the day Simon just turns around and starts throwing haymakers on the 2 of them. My money's on Simon - I'd be willing to bet ghetto-wannabe Randy never saw a fight in his life. He'd have to worry about Paula, though. Crackheads feel no pain.

I think that you are letting Simon off the hook too easily since he also tends to repeat himself. Just listen to his comparison of the performances either to a Karaoke night/bad lounge act/amateur night, etc. However, he does not pull any punches and for the most part tells it like it is.

I fully agree. The fact that he doesn't pull punches and is the only realist on the panel makes him the only one I can stand. But you're right he gets repetitive too, it's just not in that lovey-dovey, annoying, babying, kid-gloves, FAKE way as the other 2.

We won't believe who's in the bottom three?

If Ryan isn't dicking us around, I call Bo, Jessica, and Scott.

Carrie is safe so the only "shocker" would be if Bo or Connie is in the bottom 3.

Well, there is your shocker. Bo in the bottom 3. He'll never go home, but it's a surprise. Maybe this will wake his lazy ass up.

Damn straight!

So is Kelly the only person in AI history to never have been in the bottom 3? That's pretty impressive.

Bo really pissed me off, with his Too Cool attitude, acting like he's above the whole thing so he doesn't give a shit if he's sent home or not. "I only auditioned on a bet with my mother." Really? Well, fuck your mother and fuck you.
