So they cancel a show and replace that show with another show only to cancel that show and put the first cancelled show's unaired shows in the newly cancelled shows timeslot? Trippy.

I for one will give Fox credit for airing genre/horror/scifi shows, well at least giving them a chance as they're all but dead on every other network. Maybe these types of shows should stick to cable where they can shine.

I have to agree this wasn't the greatest show in the world, but the last couple of episodes were getting good. I was really interested in seeing where it was going.

I think the main problem that Fox is having is that they're looking for the next Buffy or Angel. Neither Tru Calling nor Point Pleasant had high enough ratings to keep Fox happy so they axed it before either show even had a chance.

I'm just sick of shows that I watch get cancelled. I'll buy the DVD release when it comes out. Just like I did with Tru Calling.

I'm not really sure if Fox is looking for the next Buffy or Angel. Firefly had better ratings than both Buffy and Angel, on Fridays no less, and they were more than happy to cancel that.

This is one cancellation I agree with. The show was just painful to view. I blame Desperate Housewives, as it seemed that maybe Fox was trying to find an offbeat prime time soap type show to air. Not that this was anything like DH, but it was a different type of soap opera feel.

This show suffered from "WTF syndrome", as in really bad recaps at the start and a large story line that if you missed the first few eps (and clearly most did) you really had no idea WTF was going on at all.. that's not going to help bring in new viewers at all..

I still think it sort of sucks to yank a show midway and at least not finish out it's TV run of eps that are all ready filmed... Play the eps late at night or on a cable nextwork FOX owns or something to let the few fans of the show at least finish off whatever eps are made. I mean I'll admit I watched the show and while it was not good I still sort of got into the story line.. Last ep had one of the characters watching a video tape and just freaking out.. We never saw what was on the tape.. Now I don't get to find out? lame.... Way to shaft the few people who did watch the show (all 10 of us, heh).

It is nice to see Tru Calling come back to the air.. Also sort of slap in the face to that show.. it's like FOX dumped a girl friend to go out with a bunch of other girls who then REALLY treated FOX bad and...."Tru... tru come back to FOX...".. Of course they don't have a whole season so after 6 eps I think, pooof gone.

More like... "Tru, help me... save our Thursday nights at 9 ratings!"

Never aired on Fridays. I beleive it Premieired on Wednesday, then the next day there was another new episode (Thursday), and from there on out, it was on Thursday.

Wow I guess I am really in the minority. I thought the show was decent and was one of the only Fox shows I watched. Well that will teach me not to get into anymore shows tht isn't mass appeal. At least I get the rest of my Miracles series on DVD next month and hope for a John Doe and Point Pleasent release to go along with my Millenium. Silly me for trusting these bastards to let a show run for at least a season. But again, I am in the minority.

I would disagree that Fox is the only one doing this. NBC is currently airing Medium, and while that's more like "psychic detective" than anything truly supernatural, it could easily go down that route, using the logic that if the main character is psychic, then other supernatural events could happen, as well.

Also, doesn't Lost have dinosaurs or something?

As for Point Pleasant, good riddance. What a waste of time. Fox should air repeats of Twin Peaks.

That was fun.

That's basically the problem I had. It seemed interesting, but I've only caught the past 2 or 3 episodes. It spent so much time trying to figure out the backstory, that I couldn't really enjoy the current story.

I may check it out on DVD.

Well I have to admit I watched them all and I was actually enjoying it, much to my own suprise. I'm rather saddened to see it go since there was only like 4 or 5 episodes left in the order and the creator said she was writing it as if it was meant to end on the 13th episode since she knew fox wouldn't renew it.

It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was at least entertaining. I think it's really silly to end it now to replace it with an already cancelled show, but hey, it's Fox. I've learned long ago not to get too excited about new shows on Fox and to never expect anything that makes sense from them.

You can't compare ratings on the WB and UPN to the other networks. The highest-rated UPN or WB show would get a helluva lot more viewers on the the worst time slot of any of the big three networks.
