Best narrator line of the season:
"In fact, it was investigating the pregnancy that had re-ignited Lindsay and Tobias’ passion...it was weird."
But did someone forget that Officers Taylor and Carter each have at least one child already? They brought their daughters to work with them last season. So I guess they ditched their families when they realized they shared the love that dares not speak its name? Or maybe they're supposed to be different characters, I dunno.
And like DJLinus said, the ADR seemed really slapdash on both episodes. Would it be a result of juggling plot points for the shorter season?

$47.95 a la carte. $57.95 Egg whites only.

Thought the second episode was a bit better, but they both get a

Stupid affiliate and their HD problems resulted in the picture bouncing back between 5.1 HD and 2.0 SD about 4 times in the hour.

I thought the "He's going to be all right" line was stretching it a little. "It looks like he's dead" and "He's gone" sound like things someone would say. I did like that we got a fitting name for him, Dr. Wordsmith.

Is anyone else distracted by all of the ADR on this show? Maybe it's just me.
It's not just you.

There were so many off-"hand" jokes in that second episode that I want to watch it again.

"He's going to be all right ..."

ADR???

in the second episode last night, right after they showed tobias and his wife (spacing on her name), they showed something else in the bathroom which kinda looked like a pee spot. what was that supposed to be? i watched it 5-6 times and could not figure it out

the reference to the ford bronco now being a escape.. good stuff

Dialogue recorded after the show has been shot. AKA "Looping." Arrested Development uses this a lot (with help from the narrator) to cover up dropped subplots and do other post-production changes to the storyline.

This week's episodes were particular blatant and obvious with the use of ADR. Some were annoyed. I considered a reference to "The Apprentice."

After watching yesterday episodes, I have to say this is one of the best show on TV right now.

I only started watching this show this season frankly out of sheer curiosity of the hype and talk it was getting. This show deserves all of the accolades and awards, and one more season.

Also, right before Buster goes swimming, he's sitting on a bench with an Army advertisement on it. It said "Army" and below it "Officers" but the way he was sitting, it obscured the letters so it read "Arm Off" right before he went swimming.

he didn't say anything bad. he just made a "missing hand" pun. it was funny because buster was saying them left and right and laughing at himself. Michael obviously thought that was strange. then when michael said one, buster freaked out.

i LOVED when they were turning around the chairs. "that's not a spinner!"

I wish I could remember Ann and George Michael's exchange when she catches him having lunch with Maebe. "I like not having fun! I mean, your kind of fun." Hilarious...

I loved it when Buster screamed "I'm a monster!" and started "trashing" Lucille's living room.

Finally after hearing all the rave reviews about AD I was able to tune in tonight and catch not just one but TWO episodes. I was excited that I'd finally get to find out what the hoopla was all about...

And I find myself extremely underwhelmed. Maybe it's just you have to have watched more than a few episodes to get all the humor but it all seemed very forced. Lots of silly puns, obvious humor and general insanity that didn't do a lot for me. It seemed like a live action Simpson's episode... but one with too many minor characters and subplots and definitely from a recent season. I wasn't all that confused, it just wasn't anything like what I was expecting.

There were a few hysterical jokes ("Don't salute him like that idiot at the gate", "I do.", etc.) but for the most part is mildly amusing at best and rather predictable at it's worst. Is the consensus that these episodes were better than average or did I just luck out and get some stinkers in an otherwise stellar season. I feel like the TV Talk forum has let me down

I look on it like turning to chapter 37 in a novel, expecting to laugh and saying the book sucks. This is likely why the ratings are awful, many of the jokes require you to watch it on a weekly basis. There's no way you would find any of the "Anne" jokes funny when you don't know who she is, why Michael reacts to her that way or why George Michael likes her.

Two of the weakest episodes of the entire season. What a shame.
