anyone going to bother watching? I'm going to try to remember to watch it out of hope that they fixed things this season.

As mentioned in this thread:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=387707

I think a bunch of us are going to watch to see what the new writers can do to improve the show.

Rather early, aren't you?

Unfortunately, my UPN affiliate plays High School football on most Friday nights. Enterprise will be playing at odd hours and different days for me. But, I'm hopeful this season will be better than most given the new direction and new producer running the show.

Yeah, I get to spend another season bashing episodes that I didn't watch!

The two-cents column over at www.digitalbits.com has some info about the new season (being shot in HD, etc.) and the upcoming DVD releases in 2005.

Oh, thanks for reminding me of this! I had totally forgotten this was starting Friday. I can't wait! It's going to suck so hard!

Now that there are different people at the helm, I'm going to watch again. I hope this gets better after the Xindi/Temporal War story arcs are finished.

Since Manny Coto has to deal with the cliffhanger from last season, I'm giving him a pass for the first two episodes. We'll have a much better idea of things several episodes down the road.

Didn't realize this had changed days. Looks like it's now up against Joan of Arcadia. I've got to go with the better Sci-Fi show, so it's Joan of Arcadia for me.

I thought last season ended with several decent episodes and hopefully they can build on that momentum.

I must confess though, that it's much more fun when the show is bad so that I can come here and bash it.

I'm hoping they'll re-orchestrate the opening theme song into a polka this year.

I'm easily amused so it won't take much to keep me watching. I'll still complain if it sucks but I'll still watch.

don't know why every one is complaining about season 3, I think it was the best Star Trek Season Ever....Now you're thinking "he'a a n00b at Star Trek" no Sir! Been watchin Star Trek since season 1 of Star Trek TNG in 1988 and I have all Season of TNG, DS9, Voyager Season 1-4, TOS Season 1 on DVD. I and not a day goes by without watching a Star Trek Episode (on T.V. or DVD)

Now I do admit, that Enterprise Season 1 was not really good, and when I heard about season 2, the fact that we would be seeing the Borg and Ferengi, wich every Treky know that Picard is the one who encouter them first, not Archer, anyways.....I stopped watching the Show. If I remmeber correctly after Eps 2.

In may, after talking with some friends, 1 of them said that Season 3 was good. So decided to download every episode of Enterprise season 1 -3 (here in Canada, it is legal to download). What I liked the most about season 3, is the long Arc. I thought it had a 24 feel to it....

So I planned on watching every episode of season 4, and buy all DVD when they comme out in 2005.

I'll give it a shot. I'm pretty pleased with the new writing staff coming in, they're people who have shown in the past they can write good Trek with an understanding of it's history.

Can't wait... I hope it does well in the new time slot. I can't believe it's already season 4.

You just defeated your own argument with that statement.

There are two (2) clans of Trekkies; ones that adore STNG and those that adore TOS.

I am glad you own everything out on DVD, I sure as hell dont have that kind of 'extra' income. I mean we are talking ~$2000 alone for everything (Star Trek related). And Im sure Paramount execs love you coming back for more.

But to say that anything with Berman's name attached is the BEST Star Trek is just flawed logic.

(two in one thread )

I "adore" everything Trek until DS9 ended. Which clan do I fit into then?

Okay maybe I should have said, those that were 'brought into the fold' by the TOS or STNG. Rather than using the 'adore' word.

<--- Brought into the fold by TOS, adored TNG and DS9, projectile vomited in reaction to VOY and ENT.

still better than an episode of the bachelor...

you guys are being way too hard on the show!

I too have seen every episode of every other Trek Series (its not hard if you got a tivo). They all have their good and bad episodes.

Agreed...Braga and Berman did a great job creating a fresh new take on Trek with Next Generation and have gone downhill with each new series since but DS9, Voyager and Enterprise have all had at least ONE decent episode. Sure the storylines get hokey but it IS science fiction...

at least B&B realized it was time to pass the baton on to someone else while this show was still circling the drain.

Enterprise still has some legs left in it..we havn't even gotten to the creation of the Federation yet. This show has got some great stories to tell still and deserves our support! Let's give the new writers a chance

Sounds to me like nearly everybody in this thread is giving it another chance. Including some who left it a while back.
