How come the dead people tribute didn't include John Ritter or Robert Stack?

Actor - Drama

James Spader

I knew it.

Edie didn't win so Gandolfini was a lost cause.

Spader's win is a surprise, but perhaps the voters just found his "Alan Shore" as compelling to watch as the rest of the viewers of the last season of "The Practice", plus the other nominees have been around the block too many times.

Looks like Angels In America is going to clean up well tonight, as Meryl Streep also picks up an Emmy.

Agreed...plus, outside Edie Falco, she was the only sane choice.

Of course. It's not like they're taking the place of beloved stars of major television series or anything. Fucking sons of bitches.

David Hyde-Pierce, Alisson Janney, Kelsey Grammer, and SJP winning yet again get a big and a yawn from me.

Are they done giving Angels in America head yet?

Geez. This is like LOTR. I guess they put the DVD out a little too soon. They'll have to settle for a big sticker on the front proclaiming their 8,000 wins.
