Nope, doesn't matter who goes on, there's always 2 new ones each day, plus the winner of the last show, so always 11 per week, for example:

Monday: Ken, Alfred, Biff (Biff wins)
Tuesday: Biff, Chauncey, Derwood (Derwood wins)
Wednesday: Derwood, Elmo, Flaubert (Elmo wins)
Thursday: Elmo, Gauguin, Hank (Hank wins)
Friday: Hank, Indira, Jesus

In the old days, where after five wins you were off, if someone made it to five you'd have 12 for the week, but not anymore.

Heh heh... you're absolutely right. I was thinking about that "five wins and you're off" rule Thanks for correcting my error...

well, technically, there could be as few as three contestants in a given week if they all tied each night

Derwood indeed.

How are ties for first handled after a Final Jeopardy question? They wouldn't have time to resolve it on that show.

IIRC (and I haven't watched in years), it goes to the totals before FJ as a tiebreaker. After that I dunno.

Nope, if there's a tie, they both come back.

He should of been on Millionaire. It would save him 18 days and would of won more money! What gives?!?!?

Like Biff would even have a chance against Ken.

Ah, but on Millionaire you're limited to a million dollars! Who's to say he won't go on to win $3 mil?

Not much talk about him winning the past few days. I've seen the show cause of you guys wed/turs/fri/ and monday now of him winning.

I think this will go on for at least 35+ wins or so, reason why cause last week he said to Alex, "I don't think you have a lot of mormons hitting this topic, but $1,200 for alcohol (not 100% the topic, but it was about booze). Aren't good mormans, like muslims, not allowed to drink :-)

I've never seen somebody crush the opposition like he has, i think maybe only 2 or 3 ppl have been in reach of him withen final jeoperady. Jeoperady like, wheel of fortune, will be here now and will be here for a LONG time, the fix isn't in. Maybe their feeding him lesser opponents for the pub, but he's the real deal.

as I was watching last night it got me to thinking. This guy will probably hit some talk shows and rake in a tad more doing that after he loses. But after it is all said and done, I bet he donates a lot of it to charity.

He'll no doubt write a book. A few of the past champs have done that. He is truly out of control though. I'm glad that the challenger didn't win tonight. What a bore.

He'll get a book deal out of this, no doubt. I'm not sure if his story warrants a movie or even a TV movie at this point. A more interesting story is of that guy who was unemployed for 2 years and mastered "Press Your Luck" from home, and ended up winning hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of cash and prizes in one episode.

Wouldn't it just suck to work for years to get on the show, prep and research... and then get on now against him?

Well it was actually a race last night. Too bad the 2nd place guy didn't bet more on that DD. Of course, I guess it wouldn't have matter since he didn't get FJ right.

"I pose a conundrum to you, a riddle if you will."

"I don't want to hear it."

They could make a comedy out of this. It could be a great movie.
