I find it interesting that everyone is going ballistic over a breast on CBS while ABC airs people getting stabbed in their hands, dismembered, and shot mutliple times with more than enough blood on the show Alias. Seems like no one cares about brutality on TV, but boobs are a no no.
Did you read the rest of this thread (or any of the 5 or so other threads) where people said that it wasn't the breast or the sexual dance in general, but the fact they did it during family entertainment? Alias isn't rated E for Everyone.

Hardly interesting, or even remarkable.

Violence on TV happens all the time. Boobies do not.

Paisley only happens on Laugh-In reruns.

So it's fine (and even considered 'funny') to see a guy get chomped on the 'nads by a dog in a beer commerical, but 2 seconds of boobie and the United States implodes.

Lord, what a joke we must look like to the rest of the world.

Even more interesting, the commercials in question aired during a program rated "E" as well. Guess the ads don't have to fall under the rating.

But noooo, you gotta push that stuff on a Superbowl half-time show during the family hour on public t.v.
And that's why no Democract will when the Presidental Election because they approve this crap and the majority of Americans don't approve of this crap.
wow, coming from a guy who'd willingly knowingly trade in a damaged DVD from heat damage to BlockBuster and not even think twice about it. you as a Republican, makes you so much cheaper than us Democrats

I wasn't for censorship in movies,on t.v. or in music untill the 1990's. I saw how the american youth was changing.
I grew up in a puerto rican neighborhood in the 70's & 80's and there were some very bad dangerous kids under 15 back then.
But todays youth feel it's alright to disrepect teachers and laws, the boys call girls hoes.
But the youth of today sees all this stuff in the pop culture and feel it's o.k. to act that way. As they like to say they like to be open minded.
If the FCC hands out some heavy fines we may see a big change in t.v.
It always takes one thing to change things and this could be it.
While watching Hannity & Colmes on FOXNEWS the liberal guy said all this was no big deal.
But he is not in the majority, not by a long shot.

Why is this thread still in TV Talk?

Did the Otter mods pay Static to keep it here?

Stop trying to make the thread your political garbage. Go to "Other" for that. You are a frightening individual, too bad there's more like you.

You don't have to like his opinions, but personal attacks are not allowed. Let's not see this happen again.

Also, given that there are at least two other threads on this topic (not counting the closed one in the Other Forum), I don't see any good reason to leave this third one open any longer...
