drug thing, kim/partner thing, president/doctor thing were all predictable.
Yep, it didn't help I saw everything in the ads

They didn't blatantly show the drug thing, but it was pretty obvious.

It's still entertaining though

Solid opener.

Bauer should have said: "the following takes place between 1:05 PM and 1:55 PM." Instead they just slowly stole a minute or two between various shots.

I thought it was a pretty predictible episode, other than the doctor and Jack plots. Also like mentioned, nothing steller until the last few minutes. But then again, I thought ep. 1 of season 2 was pretty dull as well. Ep.2 was where it picked up last season.

I don't mind the Kim thing, I mean this one guy saves the president, saves L.A. and now he's going to save the world, that is believable, but the same guy can't pull some strings to get his daughter trained and hired? It's a tv show. She's done some growing up in 3 years. That is a year or so from a degree. Not to mention she could have been attending college the year season 2 took place. So just because they don' t show it on screen doesn't mean it isn't possible.

quote:

"In the article I posted above they say Kim is surrounded by beautiful 23 year olds at CTU. Did anyone else see them? I must have blinked."

I didn't see her in the episode, but Agnes Bruckner was listed in the opening credits. She definitely qualifies as a beautiful twenty-something year old.

Looks like it was just Austin locals. 30 minutes of show, 30 minutes of "sorry" screen from DTV. Hopefully "other sources" can come through. I'll wait about an hour...

Maybe I can get a waiver out of this.

Just a quick question, who played Palmer's doctor? I've seen her face but cannot find any info on Fox's site or IMDB on her. Help?

It was just Fox the other locals were working. I hope they will replay this on FX. I am not a happy camper.

I thought it was a pretty good start to a new season. No big surprises, but it has lots of potential brewing.

Very good season premiere. Followed the show since the very first second of season 1 and I am pleased with how it is continuing. It's only the first episode and already lots of doors have been opened. I was surprised at some things because I didn't read much or see many commercials for the show.

I assumed Jack's health problems had to do with what happened in season 2 (with the whole

Flatliners-type
thing). But this is much more interesting now.

Who was the chick that was in the foreign country with all the Spanish speaking dudes? She isn't from season 1 or 2, is she? I thought she looked familiar.

I liked it.

I think Kim working in CTU is a great idea as long as it keeps her away from cougars and rapists.

I figured Jack was on drugs about half way through but the way hewas sniffing the entire episode I expected him to snort a couple lines.

She is new. If your speaking of Claudia that is. She seemed suspicious to me. Could be a double agent?

Who played Chloe? She looks an awful lot like someone that used to be on Mr. Show, and that was kinda distracting me during her scenes

So does this mean that the Jack-bot comment now has some explanation??

Well, count me surprised. I just finished watching S2 yesterday again and had missed the surprise aspect of this show. Holy crap did this one have it. It's great to see the writers screw up the audience like that.

Sad wrap up with Kate Warner. I think she might play a bigger role in this show later in the season for some reason. The drug thing explains why their relationship didn't work out.

And looking at the IMDB listing it's worth noting that
Spoiler:
Michelle Forbes' character might still be on later this season.

Nice to see the principal from Buffy on as the new "Mike" too.

Is Palmer's new right hand man his brother? Or did I hear it wrong? Seems to be some tension between he and the DR.

A good opener. I dont care for Kim's "Deborah Harry" haircut though.

I heard him say Palmer when he picked up the phone call from Tony, so I assume it's his brother or some relative.

And also, after critiquing the President on how to answer the question, I believe the Prez made some joke about how "And mom always said you were the timid one" Maybe not timid, but it was a t word
