Re: NCIS -- "Bounce" -- 2/17/09
I'm glad they dispensed with the "Tony is suspected of murder" angle quickly and got on to the real case in a hurry. I thought they did a good job with the character realizing that he fucked up and trying to make it right.

I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow work Tony being a murder suspect into at least one episode per season for the rest of the show's run. It's definitely reached running gag status.

Caught this last night (one of our must-see shows). Thought the stuff with Tony and the inheritance was a bit forced, the office stuff was okay, but LOVED the desert scenes and showdown. And Gibbs STILL has the sniper stuff. Awesome. Rouseauuuuuuu!

I thought maybe that was Rousseau. At first I thought the guy who turned out to be the assassin was Ethan from Lost, but then I decided his face wasn't strange enough. Then when I saw Rousseau I was thinking that was kind of weird.

I'm guessing that this will have something to do with the paper that Vance shredded at the end of last season and the file that Trent Kort handed over to Gibbs earlier this year).

Well, we don't anything about the shredded paper from the season ender last year, but at least we can start to guess what might be in Kort's file on Vance.

Re: NCIS - "Dead Reckoning" - 3/31
I did. The vibe I was getting from the very beginning was very much like a certain Bryan Singer movie from 1995. I still liked it though. I'm just surprised Tony didn't figure it out.

I just hope they don't turn him into too much of a "good guy." He works best as sleazeball.

NCIS -- "Toxic" -- 4/7/09
A. Somehow I knew that, as soon as Abby made friends with the old man, he was either dead or the bad guy.
B. I would like to see an NCIS episode where two unrelated cases manage to remain unrelated.
No new episodes until 4/28, and then:

When is the NCIS Spin-off backdoor pilot supposed to air? I know Louise Lombard from CSI and Chris O'Donnel are supposed to be the leads.

Okay, so did anyone watch this backdoor pilot to the proposed NCIS spinoff tonight.
I thought it was a really good NCIS episode and a decent way to introduce the new characters/crew.
I like the O'Donnell character Cullen and I also like LL Cool J's character Hanna. The one weak spot is the casting of Louise Lombard as the team leader. I think Louise is really attractive and is a decent supporting actress, but I don't think she has the acting chops to be a team leader for a covert unit like this. The technology for this new show is pretty badass. I loved McGee's reaction to all the gizmos.
I think this show will more than likely get picked. It's probably relatively inexpensive to shoot since it's filmed all over Downtown LA where NCIS is also filmed. It's also an in-house production at CBS/Paramount and I willing to bet that they will be sharing the same writers/production crew with NCIS to save on costs.
Looking forward to Part 2 next week. One thing that I find a little amusing. Is there really enough Navy crimes occuring in Los Angeles to form an elite undercover unit?
I hope the NCIS producers come up with a decent name. NCIS: OSP or NCIS: LA would be really lame.

Well, San Diego is not that far away, plus San Francisco to the north, so my guess is that we will see a lot of stuff up and down the coast. After all, they are an undercover unit, so can conceivably go anywhere on the West Coast.
The DC based group jaunts to Norfolk/Virginia Beach all the time, although it's really a three hour trip one-way if they don't get caught in rush hour traffic, or there's not a wreck in the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel LOL. I've lived in the Hampton Roads area for 20 years and am VERY familiar with the traffic patterns between here and DC.
