I'm confused as to what the new chick's Montecito job is where Sam has to grease her 5G's to babysit a dork.

Better than what was described, though the whole reason for the extortion was kind of lame, but I'm glad it's back to the fun times the show used to have. Hell, they even brought back the special guest singer.

Didn't love this episode. I am not really warming up to Cooper.

The very end when Selleck (Mr. Cooper) said to Danny and Mike, “I'd tell you, but then I’d have to kill you” was great!

This episode wasn’t the best but I agree that I like Mike being in it a lot more and using James as a comic-relief guy. I didn’t care for the Jewish (I’m not a racist)-kid parts; they seemed way too forced and I hate that “70s style” hair that kids are sporting these days; I’m like Grandpa Simpson; get a haircut!

I must be completely out of the loop, but I’ve never even heard of MIMS before; of course, I don’t listen to much rap.

Did you see who was in next week's trailer?

Can't believe they already pulled off the Magnum P.I. reunion so soon.

Mike's subplot seemed like a retread, for some reason.

Gretchen reminded me of Jennie Garth.

Was the poker game a ruse to get Sam's lucky coin all along?

I wonder if it was, but the writers should've set it up better (her showing or talking about the coin earlier). I guess he could've done it after inviting her and seeing her "lucky charm", but it seems strange that he'd invite her to private game so quickly like that.

Not a good episode at all. The whole Piper thing, Mike's wife beater story, and Delinda's pastry chef story were just not interesting. The card game was okay, only for who was playing.

Given a space was alreay reserved in the book, I thought Coop loaned her the coin for her stake.

It seems like that for all their A-stories this year.

I think they also reused some footage from a previous episode in some of the quick transition scenes.

IIRC, she got the coin in a previous episode from an inheritance.

Blah episode. They had done such a good job with Mike's character this season that this seemed completely out of character. He works best as comic relief but the show as a whole works better when it doesn't take itself so serious.

Still I really like Piper and I hope they add her as a regular and give her and Sam's "friendship" some more screen time.

I don't like Piper, and haven't like her in anything I've seen her in. She looks like a bulldog to me.

I've had the hots for Camille Guaty (Piper) since I saw her in the first season of Prison Break. She isn't the most conventionally attractive woman, but something about her does it for me.

I also liked this episode for the Magnum P.I. reunion; but it wasn’t that great of an episode and the ‘Out of Character’ Mike didn’t impress me much. One thing that (and I know I really shouldn’t be pin pointing the various flaw of Las Vegas) I noticed was that when Mike through the gun at that wife beating (who’s the guy from Sue Thomas F.B. Eye) guy; don’t you think the police would dust for fingerprints?

I don’t like Piper at all either; they overdid the ‘her trying to scare everybody’ gig. I thought it would be good with only 5 main characters, but the show feels sort of ‘empty’ and the writers seem a little lost with the shortening of the cast.

wasn't terrible, but wasn't anything that good either.

Mike had the gun wrapped in a handkercheif in his pocket. So I would assume that he had already wiped it down, then never touched the gun. I think Camille Guaty is pretty cute myself. But didnt like her schtick this episode. Much prefer her in her normal (walking the) street clothes.

Anyone else catch the line about the fourth friend that was supposed to play in the game but couldn't make it, hence the reason that Sam got in the game? Loved how they said that he was a british writer millionaire or soemthing like that. Obviously referring to Higgins.

Just found out the Jennie lookalike is Rachel Cannon. She also showed up "Big Bang Theory" tonight.
