Ed and Delinda's storylines were the only thing keeping this episode interesting for me. I loved the ending of this episode.

PHARAOH 'NUFF
9pm 2007-02-09 ALL NEW!

Spoiler:
TAKING MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS--LOUIS LOMBARDI ("24") GUEST STARS-- The Montecito prepares for the exhibit of a world famous mummy only to have it stolen before it gets to the hotel. When the authorities cannot deal with the crisis because of special circumstances, Ed (James Cann), Danny (Josh Duhamel), Mike (James Lesure), and Delinda (Molly Sims) are forced to handle the matter on their own. With all the craziness going on, the team does not have time to deal with a guest that is suspected of stealing various hotel items, so Mary (Nikki Cox) takes this special case on herself. Meanwhile, Harris Lipsky (guest star Louis Lombardi) offers Sam (Vanessa Marcil) an indecent proposal. TV-14 DS

... now we have a Lez Vegas moment 15 minutes into the ep.

Goldberg74 02-09-07 08:28 PM

Sam's indescent proposal...

Delinda's Valentine's outfit... :D:up:

Snowmaker 02-09-07 09:22 PM

With all the split-screens, Edgar, and the middle-eastern bad guys, I thought I was watching 24 for a moment there. :scratch2:

And was that Hiro they were talking too on the monitor in that one scene? Looked like him, but couldn't tell for sure.

Red Dog 02-09-07 09:33 PM

That was a great episode. Special split screens for Mary's breasts, Delinda's French Maid outfit and going undercover, indecent proposals, clandestine robberies, etc etc.

Patman 02-10-07 08:42 AM

This was a fun episode with the 24-ish flourish to the scene transistions.

Goldberg74 02-10-07 10:47 AM

24 + Italian Job + French Maid + Indescent Proposal + Mike's Wig (Bryant Gumbel) + One Night in Paris + Las Vegas =

I thought it was too, but I don't really think it was.

Snowmaker 02-10-07 01:35 PM

And once again we got a lesbian kiss.

Red Dog 02-10-07 01:51 PM

Yeah, that one was a lot better though.

Patman 02-10-07 02:25 PM

No, not Hiro, just another smart-ass Asian dude.

Las Vegas Split Screens?!

We just watched Las Vegas last night, from Feb 9. Did anyone else happen to see this episode? As far as content of the show is concerned, it was a pretty standard ep, compared to the goofiness that LV has normally.

However, the entire show they were splitting the screen to show different angles of the same scenes. That's distracting enough, but they were also rotating around each other after being split in a counter-clockwise direction. That's even more disctracting, but there's more: a microsoft-like sound effect was accompanying each screen as it split! It was so damn annoying we almost turned it off half way through it...
I hope I described this well enough. Although if you saw the episode, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm also wondering if this is going to be the new format of the show. If so- they've lost 2 viewers at my house.

nateman 02-15-07 10:45 PM

they were trying to parody 24.

I didn't mind the episode, but you guys liked the split screens? I hated it to the point that I almost turned it off. It wouldn't have been as bad if once split, they didn't rotate around each other.
I hope this isn't the new format for LV.

Las Vegas -- "The Burning Bedouin" -- 2/16/07

JEALOUSY AND REVENGE ABOUND-- SANDRA BERNARD GUEST STARS --
Spoiler:
Things heat up at the Montecito when Sam's (Vanessa Marcil) whale and his three wives visit town. When Sam finds out her long lost love awakes from a 20-year coma, Delinda (Molly Sims) must be the whale's casino host for the day. Jealousy runs rampant when Danny (Josh Duhamel) learns of the whale's intentions and Mike (James Lesure) falls for one of his wives. Meanwhile, Ed (James Caan) is on a mission to replace his housekeeper (guest star Sandra Bernhard) when his wife Jillian (Cheryl Ladd) is out of town. TV-14 VD

Funny how the NBC site mispells Sandra Bernhardt's name two different ways.

Took me 3/4 of the episode before I realized that one wife was Inara from Firefly.

Ed had to go through "Misery" :D

And where else was coma guy from?

MrX 02-16-07 10:36 PM

If she really wanted to punish Ed for firing her she would have made him watch this episode.

Patman 02-17-07 08:57 AM

The bad thing about HDTV: It was tough watching Sandra Bernhardt in HD.

Yeah, that was tough to get through.

Coma Guy aka Jeremy Shapiro was played by Frank Grillo - who recently played Nick Savrinn on Prison Break. He was the one who teamed up with Robin Tunneys character-trying to get Lincoln free. He was also on the short-lived ABC series Blind Justice playing Detective Marty Russo - the one who wasn't exactly best friends with Ron Eldards character-Detective Jim Dunbar.

Hope that helps...

Bingo! Thanks!

Nice to see Morena Baccarin again but this wasn't a "fun" episode of Las Vegas.

Patman 02-18-07 08:50 PM

I sort of tuned out in apathy once they got to the first commercial break.

Got that right.
Didn't this episode break the streak of lesbian kisses? Didn't we have one for 3 straight weeks?

Damn, I also wanted to punch the housekeeper in the face. The years have not been kind to Sandra Bernhardt.
