Just like any other reality show, the directors and producers can be distorting the truth. She's had her dumb moments and whiny moments but who hasn't? If the camera captures only those moments however that's how she going to be portrayed. Makes for better viewing.

POWERBOMB 09-10-03 07:16 AM

Where is the footage of her walking around in skimpy clothing. I mean she is a hottie and should be in short shorts not sweats.

Big Quasimodo 09-17-03 01:53 AM

I like this show much better than The Osbornes.

Osbornes wore thin really quickly - i mean, dysfunctional family's are fun and all, especially when they spend money like its growing on trees and let dogs pee and poop all over their house, but puhleese: can you say attention-whores (sharon, jack, kelly)?

The Newlyweds seem really sincere and sweet. Lachey appears to be down to earth and intelligent, and Simpson comes off as genuine. It's sweet to see the way they treat one another.

And, she sometimes looks so hot it's incredible :D

Jackskeleton 09-17-03 02:07 AM

yeah, but the moment she opens her mouth, that hottness goes away and the stupidity comes through.

So much so that I find it hard to believe that he likes the music that he makes. It's just awful.

I like 'em stupid. It's endearing.

FuzzyBallz 09-17-03 04:16 AM

Man, y'all just playa hatin' Nick 'cause he's got a hot damn young blonde bomb shell bimbo for a wife, who would do anything to his desire. Yeah, you wish.

And would you rather have the gf or wife look stupid in public or yourself? Smart gf and wife leads to breakups and divorces.

Ya but that awful music made him rich and married to Jessica Simpson. So I think he got the best end of that deal.

speedy 09-17-03 05:49 PM

Anyone know when the new episode repeats? Hard to tell because they don't list all the episode details on MTV.com.

But he was younger when he was with 39 Celsius. And he could hide behind the rest of the guys and the fad. Now that he's got the hot, young, rich wife, I'm suprised that he's still making awful, god awful "pop" music. He just seems, as mentioned in an earlier post, to be a smart man's-man kind of guy. Not an overly feminized moron like Justin. Someone who might take a chance on something that's a departure from the crap he's already made. His wife has a great voice, his is not so special.

Now I dont know if Jessica is really as dumb as she is made to look on MTV but I would hardly call having an airhead wife a "deal". Could you really live with an airhead for the rest of your life? Maybe its just me but isnt there more to marriage than looks?

PJsig08 09-17-03 06:38 PM

True, but she is ridiculously hot. Sometimes, its too much.

I doubt he has much choice on the kind of music he makes. The record label does. And that kind of music sells. On the last episode he was talking to his label about what single he wanted to put out. He wanted a song that was different than the norm. His label wanted a boy band song. I think the label won out in the end.

Actually having an airhead wife has its advantages. You could make her do anything you wanted because she wouldn't be smart enough to think on her own. I've known girls like that. It may be wrong but you can manipulate your way into heaven with them.

I've resorted to using this show for a drinking game...everytime Jessica says or does something completely stupid, you take a shot. You'll be ripped, guaranteed in the first 4 minutes of the show.

All it says for episode details is Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson start their life together.

Which is all my Tivo listings say too. :(

I have to say they look like a true happly married couple. The fight just like me and the wife. And we have been married for over 6 years.

Cat 09-19-03 09:28 AM

She is attractive, but they seem to be going out of there way to make her unattractive. All the burping and the scene where she clears out the room because of the stench she left in the bathroom don't make me want to be around her. However, the funniest thing she has said was in the recent episode, when she said she had to "drop some kids in the pool", meaning she had to poop.

Did anyone catch tonight's episode? They blurred out her nipple when they were lying down on the couch together. Lucky camera man.
