What is funny is how mad the girls actually got.
HELLO?! Do you remember that you are playing for 1 MILLION dollars?
BEND OVER and take that damn boot off!
To me it seems like Paige played it perfectly (I'm not sure if that was her intent, or if she is just that much "in love").
He basically knew everyone was pissed at him, except for her, she was still making out (can you say $$$!)
And ofcourse the producers shuffled him back over there to apologize. I guarantee he left there thinking "ahhh that was a good night". He didn't understand the concept of them being mad for any reason when he left, and was suprised when Paige said something. I guarantee the producers had to walk him threw what to say.
Because he said that monotone ".....again, I just want to apologize for last night, I was a jerk" about 4 times!

But doesn't it make the choice too simple? The big catch is that they can have either love or money, not both (though as people have said before, they can't really force them not to see each other). It would be a harder choice if he was actually charismatic. Right now, only clueless Paige is infatuated with him... and I'm thinking that may be an act. I mean, she's only 21, but I'm sure she knows how to play innocent and suck a man in.

Honestly, unless they had dug up JFK Jr and put him out there, I fully expected the 'winner' to take the money. They could always reunite down the road if she thought there could be a future.

I would think they would all take the money as well.
Or they SHOULD (as reasons many have mentioned)
I don't quite have the "perfect read" on Paige yet.
I would like to think she is playing all the girls and the guy.
She has referred to it more than once as a "game".
I want to think of her as a sly fox type.
I could be wrong though.
And part of me thinks NBC is just telling their "story", and making it look like Paige is the winner (so far) and is the one "truely" torn between the man she wants and the money.
To make it look like it's a "hard decision".
......probably giving NBC too much credit here though.

NBC didn't find out and it something that can be easily be found with a simple backround check. His employer didn't find out either. He probably never thought he would get that far, so once he did, he probably figured that he was scot free.

NBC already planning to air a 2nd run starting in mid-summer.

Unless the woman is really attractive physically and mentally, I have a hard time imagining a guy passing up a million bucks.

NBC Schedules More 'Love or Money
By Brian Ford Sullivan
CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Despite the controversy surrounding its new reality series "For Love or Money," NBC will leap into a second season of the series on Monday, July 14 at 9:00/8:00c. Instead of featuring a man being courted by 15 women, the new installment will have 15 men vying for the affections of one woman. The second season was filmed prior the series' premiere in order to preserve the twists involved in the show's format.

I noticed that it ran over as well....strange. It was pretty obvious who was going to be booted based on the commercials and the hints that they were dropping all night...

F-ing NBC and their overruns. Somebody needs to be shot for this regular practice on this network.
At least say that it goes to 10:05 or 10:10 so PVR guides can catch it.
I can't believe he got rid of Laura either (although the preview reactions before the show cut off kind of hinted at that). I guess he figures he can bang Paige before the end.

I'm the same way. I didn't watch the Bachelorette and I never watch Elimidate when a girl is the picker.

Next week's show should be interesting when the truth is revealed about the ladies..
It's seems like that blonde girl with the short hair is the only one who's honest about wanting the money not the guy..
The other 3 are still debating about Rob vs the $million$

I think telling him about the money is a huge mistake. If that was me in that situation, i wouldn't even bother trying to be nice. Why would I? Say i really liked one of them. Then they tell me that these 4 are competing for a million dollars. I would automatically feel that they are all being fake and not really in love with me. No matter if they were or not.
What makes this show great is 2 things. 1) The women have to pick him or the money (however, i see no reason why anyone would ever pick him over the money, but whatever) and 2) That he has no idea about the million.
Well, they took one of those things away. Glad I haven't really been watching this season and I certainly won't be watching the 15 men go after 1 woman show.
Btw, I watched the first show with my wife and I picked Lauren as the girl I thought was the cutest with Stacy a close second. Overall i really like his picks. First time i've tended to agree with a guys choices in a reality TV show.

Well, last night had a surprised in store for one of the ladies.
Laura got the boot, even though it came down to her and Paige. Rob even got in a "You're too young for me" crack on Paige with Kelly in the car. Some of it was joking around, some of it was the truth.
Couldn't believe one of the daughters of John Brodie, the NFL QB, was on the show (Erin).
For some reason this show ran long last night.
Next week's teaser:
They tell Rob that the girl he picks wins $1 million. The look of surprise on Rob could have been feigned, but still funny. Now Rob's totally on the defensive once that revelation occurs.

Yeah because NBC execs are a bunch of greedy bastards who don't want people to switch channels at traditional times.
This is one reason why I did not watch a lot of Friends episodes this season.I can't believe they are revealing the secret to him next week. I thought he wouldn't know about it until the end. That sucks. I guess this gives him the opportunity to find out whether it is for love or money.
Given his age, he must not be much of a football fan if he doesn't know who John Brodie was. Great connection to have if you end up choosing Erin and she by some miracle actually goes for love.

Rob must think he could dominate Paige in a way that he couldn't with Laura. Sick, I know.
Of the remaining four, I guess I'll root for Erin, though none of them really give my the HOT!

Finally read the disclaimers at the end of each episode (thank goodness TIVO also recorded Meet My Folks... they even ended the hour on a commercial break!)
It says the usual stuff about how the show's been edited to leave out things that weren't pertinent. Then it says the the contestants are able to consult the producers about their choices, which seems like meddling to me. Though I'm sure that he tells the producers who he's going to pick, and they make him call them out in a specific order. But I also wonder if they convince him to pick someone like Laura because it's more interesting having a gold digger around.
Plus, the "winner" will get their million over 40 years... 25 grand a year, which isn't bad, but isn't going to put them on easy street. The lump sum amount must be significantly less. Didn't Joe Millionaire get the whole amount? Isn't the "check" for a million dollars pretty decietful?

40 years? That's worse than the lottery. Very lame. I would probably sell the yearly payoffs to one of those companies that pays you a lump sum in return.

What a moron. Picking Paige over Laura was just plain stupid. I bet he's a crummy lawyer also.

The million bucks over forty years is complete joke. Too funny.
I bet they didn't tell the girls that.
