Team Clown?

I prefer Team Bozo. (BTW: I am rooting for these guys).

Minor request: If you want me to attach team names to the polls, you need to tell me which people you are referring to. Thanks.

I won't be watching the first ep until Friday night, but some of the names so far (Team Gay, Team Buds, Team Engaged) definitely need eventual improvement.

Now I haven't seem them, but for the "12 years dating/still virgin" pair, my first impulse would be Team Blueball...

How about Team Rosy Palms, at least for the guy!

Alright the tension is back and the editing is king.

Good stuff to see this fantastic show back on the air, and glad to have a few new fans hooked in, I got about 2 or 3 new people at work tuning into it.

Phil looked like he was enjoying himself in his nice Furry Coat in Cortina.

It was clear who would be last, but I think a lot of teams understimated the Atmospheric pressures.

The air traffic guys are not going to last at all, the race has been won so far with people who can at least run some distance.

lol @ the Flo parody.

Did I also understand correctly that the clown team WALKED the entire snowmobile course and ended up ahead of the other 2 teams? If they had done it properly, it would have been MUCH faster than doing the whole zipline + hike.

I wonder how much the contestants get to enjoy the locations. The dolomites are so beautyful. I remember that during the week I spent there, Every time I went to the Top of Chinco torre, the clouds were so thick that I couldn't ski back down. Visibility was less than 5 feet, and the only way to know you were off the trail was when you slid off it.

You don't wanna know...

And I know what Josh & Steve's real nickname will be on the show but I'm not allowed to say. It's pretty F'in funny though.

I finally got around to watching it yesterday afternoon. Great start to the season. And I have to say that my favorite moment was when Mrs. Staypuft was slow as a snail across the wire-bridge and Team Boobs comes right up behind her and pushes her up and over the end. "I couldn't look down and I couldn't look across...". too funny - and how many times did those two fall?

I couldn't tell if they walked the snowmobile part or if they went back to the end of the zipline part and walked, but either way...I was thinking too that I would have liked to have seen some of the teams at the end go for the snowmobiles. Depending on how fast you found the keys (he did say it was a 160 acre area didn't he? that could take forever!) the snowmobiles seemed like they could have been much much faster. Everyone took the zipline though because the scarier one is usually faster.....but that is not always the case. Not sure if I would have passed up the chance to do the zipline either, lol.

I like quite a few of the teams. I have to admit that my favorite team is Team F-Bomb. Those two are killing me! And the "Come on, Flo..." remark just pulled me right in. I love that they are not afraid to let lose w/ their mouths. I understand it will turn many people off, but it's so true to how I would probably talk, I just can't help but like them. When the girl was driving and cursing people as she went along I was thinking how great it was. She looks so innocent, but looks can really be deceiving. I hope they stick around for awhile because those two just go back and forth at each other - very entertaining, imo.

I hope Team Boobs sticks around for a while just for the dynamic they bring. One's a bitch and the other is so laid back, and she's a flirt to boot. When they just hopped on the wire-bridge and pushed Mrs. Staypuff over the end, I was loving it.

I also like the father/son team. Josh (?) is a wiseass and I hope to enjoy his quips throughout the show. I think this team could go all the way.

I was impressed to see the cardiac air-traffic controllers finish the rescue. They were so depressing to watch at times, but they finished. I don't think they will be around too long.

I still can't believe the NFL Wives' Club used the Fast Forward. Come on, ladies - Think before you act!!!

Haven't really seen too much of the other teams - at least there are some cute girls on the show for now.

Team Virgin? Gimme a break! Get it over w/ already - I am sure God is sick of waiting on these two. How can he be a commitment-phobe if he has already been w/ her for twelve-freaking years?! Stupid, stupid, stupid.

really? I don't think they should be penalized for traffic violations. How is that different than encouraging/bribing taxi drivers to speed faster?

What sorts of things have teams been given penalties before in the past? (I couldn't find any rules on the TAR4 web page). Any penalties given besides time penalties? I assume time penalties just mean that have to stay at the pit stop longer?

The last half of last season that I saw...it seemed that leaving the pit stop first never really mattered. In all the episodes I saw something always seemed to happen to start the remaining teams all over on an even foot (having to wait for a ferry, train departure, certain flight, etc....) Is that typical? or were they just doing that at the end of the race to make things more exciting?

oh....and speaking of penalties....was it within the rules for the father/son team to buy tickets for the air traffic controllers who were at the end of the line? I thought that was unfair and should earn a penalty.....

Yeah, if you, as a contestant pair, think it's to your advantage to buy tickets for another team, that's your call to make. It's all part of the game strategy among contestants.

There's been times where other teams gang up on a team none of them likes, and nothing in the rules state that you can't act maliciously in this manner simply out of spite. That's human nature dynamic, and it's what the producer would want filmed because it's the interesting part of the game for many viewers.

Now, I don't think it would be possible for you buy all the available seats on a particular plane, though. That would be against the rules. But if both teams are present, the lagging team's cameraman does have the money to pay for those tickets. That's how it would work, I would think.

what's the SNL skit? The Ambiguously Gay Duo? That should be their name from now on - The Ambiguosly Gay Duo (from Beverly Hills, 90210).

Team Buds
Team Engaged
Russell/Cindy (she pines for him, not reciprocal)
Responding in order to the above list:
-I was thinking of Team Clueless, but Implants definitely works.
-I also called them Team Clown, and liked someone elses suggestion of Team Bozo...how about The Ringling Bros (could we be sued for infringement?)
-Team NFL is what I call them too. Perhaps they could take on the Clueless team name...going for the Fast Forward with 4 teams at least 2 hours behind you.....yeesh
-Not crazy about Team Boot Camp, but I've got nothing else so far
-I was thinking Team Midlife Crisis, although I'm sure they're past that...but it seems like an attempt by a couple of old guys for one last hurrah in life.
-Team Virgin says it all
-I kept saying Team **** or Team MO, but it seems that nothing can be said without coming across as discriminating
-I actually called Stay Puft "Team Face-Plant"....as Skorp said, they fell like 4 or 5 times, but her face plant getting off the plane was great...
-Team F-Bomb will have to do, around the house here I say Team F***...I love 'em!
-Team Buds...something will have to develop at some point, or perhaps solidify that name, but its just eh for now (in fact, these last 3 teams are all sort of non-descript at the moment)
-Team Engaged: who are these people again?
-For now I've been mentally referring to them as Team Commitment...she's totally ready for one, and in the intro he seemed to make it rather clear that he did NOT want a serious relationship.....good luck!

As time moves on, as others have said, names may change as personalites etc start to come through....

Interesting show although is it like that every week? I assume that whoever finishes 1st gets to leave 1st the next round. Then is there a grouping point (like the charter buses) in every episode. Doesn't seem like much of an advantage.

Watching that whale try to get through the snow and across the ropes was pretty amusing. I thought the zip line was going to snap with her on it.

Those Falcons wives are so damn stupid. They had a 2-hour head start over 4 other teams. Surely they would have qualified and probably still finished in the top-8 w/o the FF.

I hope the models can stick around for awhile. I don't want them to win though.

Tomorrows show looks interesting...

"It Doesn't Say Anything About First Come, First Served. And We're Bigger", Episode #402.

Teams slide down a snow-covered mountain; a team bullies its way to the front of a line; an injury threatens a team's confidence.
