But yeah...I thought that was a great show, too.
Oh yeah, didn't notice the 6 year bump.

Viva Laughlin
Spoiler:
seriously
Spoiler:
I never saw that one and only episode, and I wish The Soup could have had MUCH more material than just one song on an escalator
Spoiler:

I'm okay with 6-year bumps of fun threads.

Lookwell! One episode (a failed pilot), about a former television detective, played by Adam West, who ends up solving real crimes. Written By Conan O'Brien and Robert Smigel. Absolutely hilarious.

Re: Best Short-Lived Shows

I'll second the original Cupid and Danger Theater, and add on Michael Madsen in Vengeance Unilimited.

Freaks and Geeks
Undeclared
Action!

And a couple of guilty pleasures I haven't seen mentioned yet...

Young Americans - That Coca Cola sponsored summer show that aired 8 episodes. I remember Kate Bosworth was in it... I don't know the names of any of the other actors.

The Street - That wall street show with Jennifer Connelly, Tom Everett Scott, and Giancarlo Esposito.

Re: Best Short-Lived Shows

UNSUB - David Soul, Kent McCord, M Emmet Walsh pre CSI investigation Unit. From Stephen J. Cannell & Steve Kronish. Awesome show, great writing, great cinematography, great cast. Ended with a two parter, NBC aired the first but never aired the second. Seven years later I moved to CA and went to work for Cannel and found the second part in their library. Taped the entire series.

Re: Best Short-Lived Shows

Probe - A Sherlock Holmes type show I loved as a kid.

Sorority Life - A reality show about sorority chicks...how could MTV fuck this up? Maybe 5% of college girls are ugly, and in the last season MTV managed to get them all.

Re: Best Short-Lived Shows

Anyone remember a '90s show called "The Crusaders"? It was a Fox newsmagazine show about a team of "crusaders" that solved problems and fought injustices.

Re: Best Short-Lived Shows

Boomtown - - - Excellent first season then they tinkered with it and it died.
The Job - - - Loved this show, but its cancellation gave us Rescue Me so I wont cry over it.
Kidnapped - - - This show was great and thankfully I got to see the conclusion on Netflix. Would have been interesting to see what they did for Season 2.
