I guess he needed an attitude adjustment also? Funny, because I thought the books were fun and I thought that the occasional pointing out a goof in the show was fun as well. After all, isn't that what fans do? Of course, because you don't like anybody to question anything about shows you watch, you get a lousy attitude and pounce on them when they do and insist they no longer watch the show. Who needs an attitude adjustment? I was looking at this thread, and seeing only a one track discussion for the episode, and thought it would be fun to introduce another thought about the show. Yeah, how horribly rude of me to imagine that people might want to discuss the show the way fans discuss all their favorite shows.

If Chloe started flying, absent some explanation for it, you're saying you wouldn't have a problem? When the shows do bend the laws of physics (or break them), they should be able to explain why. (Here, I think there was an explanation... Clark didn't catch them stiff armed... he had some give in his catch. Think about catching an egg... if you just stick your hand in the air and don't move it, the egg will splatter. If you catch it with some give, it should be okay. The real question, to me, was "Why wasn't Clark driven into the ground like a nail when the force from the car transferred to him?").
B) Who are you to try and direct the flow of the conversation? The physics involved in any given episode are entirelly appropriate to discuss in the thread for that particular episode.

Lana was okay with Chloe because Chloe "wasn't herself."
But because Clark can't tell his secret (and he can't, not this early anyway) and appears to NOT have had a parasite inside him then it's just more of Clark being Clark.
I am more interested in seeing the rift between Lex and Clark grow. I love this show because you TOTALLY know they are going to be unbelievable enemies in the future.

This episode was great. We get to see evil Clark and he starts pushing Lex around. The main reason that I liked this episode was that Clark pulls one super rescue: catches a car with his friends inside. I cant believe that I missed it on Tuesday. Thank god for Sunday repeats. Can't wait for next episode. with an opening like "If you think Lex Luthor is evil..." it looks like a battle between villians.

Green kryptonite, the only variety potentially fatal to Superman, induces lassitude and inertia followed by death if not removed in time from Superman's presence.
Red kryptonite inflicts bizarre and unpredictable - albeit temporary and nonfatal - symptoms, as when it divides Superman into twins or transforms him into an infant or a giant ant.
Gold kryptonite would permanently rob Superman of his super-powers were he ever to be exposed to its radiations. (I personally would be interested in learning how they came to this discovery.)
These three varieties of kryptonite are similarly hazardous to Supergirl, Krypto the Superdog, and all other surviving natives of Krypton.
Blue kryptonite is toxic only to Bizarro creatures.
White kryptonite is harmful only to plant life. Whenever the word kryptonite appears in this encyclopaedia without a specific color designation, it is green kryptonite, the most common variety, that is being referred to.

Website. I forget the exact address, but it's one of the first sites that show up when you go to yahoo.com and type in "kryptonite."
And it's not a really good encyclopedia, to be frank. It has good information, but is no where near as exhaustive as I was hoping. I think a book idea would be great, seeing there is so much to cover in Superman's history!

I finally got around to watching this episode.
Some thoughts:
I think it would have been a much better episode if Chloe hadn't have forgot everything that happened. Instead, it would have been cool if she merely TOLD Clark she couldn't remember. Then she would know Clark's secret, but she would also be hiding the fact that she knows about it, etc. That would have set up some interesting plot developments. However, we have yet another case of the magic reset button being pushed, and next week's episode will pretty much start where this one did.
At the end, when Clark's parents were telling Pete how they are looking out for him and how they are only concerned with how the secret affects him, blah, blah, blah-- it just seemed so forced. I could imagine them saying those things right before they killed him. It just seemed like a cliche in movies where the bad guy says "I trust you can keep a secret" right before he stabs the guy to death. The thought Ma & Pa Kettle murdering Pete like that just made me laugh.
I guess Lana got over her dead boyfriend already. That was quick.
There were some funny lines in this ep, including the "cunning linguist" one. I also liked Clark's reaction to Chloe asking if he could fly: "What am I, a cartoon?"
I also thought what Chloe said to Lex about the toupee was funny.
