This irritates me because On Demand says, "Catch *every* episode a week early". Not a big deal... but these will be two long weeks.

Might be trying to get a ratings boost. Funnel all the On Demand viewers into one time slot.

Sorry I just don't remember, but why was Bunny pissed at Mayor Carcetti? Was Carcetti the reason he was ousted because of his "experiment"? Great episode by the way going to be a long 2 weeks.

I couldn't remember this either..

Man, this episode was unreal.. Very emotional scenes.. It mad me very sad to think this show is ending.

Kima being the whistleblower telling Daniels... Daniels will not hold that in and will most likely get back to the mayor which means a whole crap on of people are going to know about it.. I just don't see them being able to cover it up / shut people up about it so it doesn't ruin the entire city's rep..

Also, when it does come out then they will know (even though Gus already does about a number of other things) that Scott is a liar..

That Quantico director dialog was really heavy-handed - more like an SNL skit than the usual level of writing on this show.

Just to echo the sentiments here: wow.

Did Snoop take death better than anyone else in the show? Didn't even seem to rustle her at all. She is a sociopath, and one of the most damaged characters on the show, but damned if that scene didn't get me.

Side Note: Michael is the man. Obviously his circumstances are tragic and he IS a killer, but in a Michael Corleone, the-bad-guy-we-root-for kind of way. My roommate was going nuts at the scene when he gets Snoop because he keyed into Michael's character from the word go. He's been predicting that Michael would become the kingpin and play the game right. I think he's too used to "hollywood"-ized shows. What's everyone's feeling on this? Was that the last we see of Michael? Is he now on the lam? Or is he just sorting his affairs before he takes the fight to Marlo & Chris?

Also - his final scene with Bug had me in tears. This young man who gave up his childhood, his friends and (were I to believe in such things) his soul to protect his younger brother, only to be forced to give him up for his own good. I also thought the young actor who plays Bug was fantastic in that scene without saying a word. You could see in his eyes that dawning understanding of someone forced to grow up too quick... maybe I was reading too much into it, but for all that was left unsaid, I really felt as if Bug knew what Michael had done for him and even had the slightest hint of the personal cost. This was THE defining moment of Bug's life, and I thought both actors sold it beautifully.

Kima Kima Kima... what am I gonna do with you, girl? You just knew they wouldn't get away clean, but I never thought it would be Kima...

Also, am I the only one that thought a lot of McNulty's unease was due to his lack of credit? "Marlo's in bracelets." Not essential to the plot by any means, and maybe I'm just shading in the character based on previous experience, but afterall, McNulty thinks he's the smartest guy in the room all the time... heh. A bust like this with none of his prints on it... that'd chap anyone's ass, let alone a raging narcisist like McNutty.

LOVED Clay getting bluffed by Lester. If Leevi (sp?) goes down, MAN, then this whole thing might just have been worth it. This scumbag in some ways is worse than the monsters he defends. Doubt it will happen, though.

On a complete tangent - the field of prosthetic limb replacement is coming along damned nicely! I had no idea we were that Luke Skylwalker with it yet.

Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles...ahem... Reginald. Don't fall off, dude. I couldn't handle that. I've resigned myself to the fact that this show will not end on a happy note. It's too realistic for that... But if Bubbs falls off.... man, that will just break my heart... Even more than Dukie seemingly taking over Bubbles' role. Come on Prezbo, pull that kid's ass out of the fire.

I am going to miss this show like a dead family member.

I always wondered why McNulty is considered "the smartest guy in the room" on the show, when Freamon is much smarter. And Prez to a certain degree.

I was surprised that McNulty was able to triangulate the position of the floater in Season 2 though, I'll give him that.

" I hope Chardene is up when I get home, because Lester Freamon is in the mood for love tonight!"

That line solidified Lester as my favorite character.

Based on the image properties, I'll guess Queer As Folk.

I remember a few seasons ago, I think it was Mello, who used the term "fecal gravity". The end result of this whole season is a prime example of how it works. Financial cutbacks from City Hall (due to politics between the city and state governments) lead to McNulty creating a fake case and getting Freamon his wiretap. Freamon attributes his information to a CI, and when Marlo gets word of it, it's Michael who gets tagged as the leak. End result, Michael has to go on the lam, give Bug up, and Dukie ends up on the streets an addict.

Great episode. So much irony in the past 2 episodes. Seemingly invincible Omar being taken down by a kid. Snoop being taken down by her trainee. And the whole thing possibly unraveling because of Herc who made everything possible to begin with.

Love the series, but in a way, I'm glad it's ending and going out on a strong note. Better that way than to watch a great series run out of creative juices.

Man, Michael saying by to Bug got to me big time. Who did he leave him with? Duk headed down the path to become the Bubbles of the next generation, the drug addicted trash hustler. Tough to see Snoop go because I love her character but she went out in a way that made me appreciate the character even more. You could see that it tore Chris up that they thought Micheal was the informant.

I'm so upset that this show is ending next week but they left me with 5 GREAT seasons to TV to go back and watch from the beginning.

I'm guessing that for the finale
Spoiler:
Marlo and Chris are put away for good, just like Barksdale. And like Marlo before, Michael is going to rise up as the next drug lord of Baltimore. It's the circle of life. There always has to be something coming in to fill the vacuum.

Pretty sure Bunny hated Carcetti so much because after he showed him around his district (including Hamsterdam) Carcetti was the one who called the media on the whole operation in an attempt to hurt Royce's vote. This resulted in Bunny getting knocked down and being forced to retire on a Lieutenant's pension as opposed to his Major / District Commander salary.

Apparently he had a quick rise through the ranks to detective, but for the most part I think they always said he always considered himself the smartest guy in the room.

Michael and Bug was very sad. As was the scene with Dookie. And yup, he's the bubbles of the next generation..

It really looks like Herc will end up fucking the whole case, unless Lester finds who the leak is in the prosecuters office.

Some great performances this episode from the cast, Michael, bug, Bubbles. When bubbles was talking about Sharod, man that was hard.

I would have loved to see Kima Tell Daniels what when down.

And who has 2 thumbs and called the model of the phone? this guy.

Can't believe there's only 90 mins left.

I'd love to see the welcome Avon gives Marlo if marlo gets sent down,,

Can someone explain the Dexter reference for us non-Showtime people?

Snoop was cool to the end. Dookie moving in with the trash people broke my heart. I never thought I'd see Bubbles clean. Kima spilling the beans was incredible. I can't wait for the last episode. The Wire was another excellent HBO tv show that will be missed. I can't wait to see what else HBO puts on.

Dookie was watching the TV when Michael came in to get him and bug..

And the dexter thing. If you don't understand the concept of Dexter then don't read the spoiler
Spoiler:

Dookie said Hey Michael a Serial Killer that kills Serial Killers.

Which is what Dexter does..

and Dookie was watching Dexter..

Exactly. I just can't see her ratting McNulty out like that, after everything, w/out at least going to him first and giving him a few days to either shut it down or go in himself. Just didn't seem to fit. Can't see the show ending with McNulty fired or worse, charges thrown out against Marlo & crew, everything crashing down...

Brilliant episode. Where does Michael go now? Nice move getting the jump on Snoop.

The last episode may not be On Demand until next week, but they did put out a one minute Clay Davis centered explanation as to why it wouldn't be. Pretty funny actually.

I wouldn't be surprised if Daniels doesn't go to the mayor with this. At this point he's just as pissed off as McNulty, possibly moreso, that he never got his new day from the mayor. They'll probably have a bigger problem with the newspaper though, as the brass is really gunning for this story to be up for the Pulitzer, which will make it harder for the police to cover up.

The Dukie scene was pretty sad. It looks like that's how someone starts on the path to being what Bubbles was.

Nice callback to Clay fleecing Stringer Bell. Looks like Avon was right about that one, Stringer wasn't ready to run with them.

I think they'll end up getting Marlo and his group, but they won't come close to getting the Greek and his. They might get a brief look at them though, which gives Lester an itch to think about scratching for a while.
