"We need to talk again."
And it does seem as if they are stuffing too much into each episode. My gf said it best "wow, engaged and married all in one episode". My thoughts exactly.

For an episode that had a lot go on, it was rather dissapointing. The only funny parts were Miranda not wanting anything fancy for the wedding and Charlotte and her husband 's romantic evening.

As I said in last week's thread, each character is going to get their own story arc. So if you think this episode was a little crowded, you may be in for a bumpy final 6 episode.
I like this episode myself. I didn't think it was too busy at all. Miranda would most certainly get married after SHE proposed without a lengthy engagement. To me this show is brilliant. This episode was much better than last week's. Don't hold your breath for Petrofski to leave. I have a feeling he's in it for the long haul
I thought it was odd that Steve didn't invite Aidan to the wedding. His only guest was his ma?
Also remember they filmed multiple endings for each character so ANYTHING is possible in the next six episodes...

I imagined this would have been promoted on another network as "Next week, on a very special episode of Sex and the City..."
Why, oh why, must all comedies eventually become "serious", especially towards the end of their run? It's called "Sex and the City" for crying out loud...do we really need a cancer arc? I swear, if Samantha is bald at anytime in the few remaining episodes, I'll file an official protest.

I was LOL at Miranda to the wedding dress saleswoman:
"I don't want anything white, off-white, or ivory. I have a child. The jig is up!"

I didn't think the episode was crowded. There is a lot to wrap up in eight episodes so it just means theres a lot of story arcs to deal with. That's life - good news often coincides with bad news.

Speaking of Charlotte, I'd like to see them start a storyline where she & Harry goes through the process of adopting a baby. I think it would be ironic if they adopted a baby and then Charlotte finds out she is pregnant or something.

I agree with most of you. They certainly are jamming a lot into each ep, but I'd rather that they did that and give me some closure than go slower and not have the stories finish. I still love this series, and still think it's the best series on tv.
My best friend and I were discussing the wedding thing - no problem that they didn't have a big buildup to either charlotte's or miranda's weddings - they've "done" the whole big wedding thing before. Don't really need eps wasted with that. I want to see what happens after.
I was heartbroken for Sam. This series has always been a comedy AND a drama, so have no problem with serious storylines being thrown in there. Big's heart, Charlotte's miscarriage, and now Sam's cancer. That's life, and I'm glad they're not making the last few eps all fluff.
But I still want a happy ending for everyone.

It seemed more realistic than when Charlotte married Harry. That wedding was huge and it seemed to happen very fast in the course of 1 or 2 episodes.

There is no way to tell how much time passes between episodes or during episodes unless Carrie's voice-over TELLS you how much time has passed...

Yeah, I don't have a problem with it. Who knows how much time passes between and during episodes.
Now I accept that I'm in the minority in having always found SJP to be a beautiful woman (ever since I saw Footloose), so for those of you who think she's unattractive, I guess this doesn't apply; but is it just me, or does she look incredible this season?

I still think of her in her "Square Peg" days...
I think it's been good to see her play someone genuinely happy in her romantic life recently after so many seasons of her playing a woman waiting for the other shoe to drop so she can be done with her current relationship.

I just thought it was funny. What was Miranda thinking, using the surname of the father as the kid's first name anyway. She must have really thought there was absolutely no chance that she and Steve would get back together when Brady was born.

I have the sneaking suspicion that Miranda and the kid kept her last name. Plus, who would do that to a child?

However, I could see Steve now wanting the baby to have his last name and that could be an entertaining argument for them to have in an upcoming show.

Overall, a pretty good episode. Miranda had some great one liners. Samantha's storyline was not a serious as I expected it might be. Julia Sweeney had a nice cameo. Already tired of Mikhail Baryshnikov. Am I the only one who doesn't think he and SJP have no chemistry? Speaking of which, the worst one liner in the show (and admit it, there are at least two each week), was:
"Next at the Hotel Vasectomy, I was having a conversation with the man next to me."
Ugh!

Miranda and Steve go on a "honeymoon" after Charlotte and Carrie volunteer to take care of Brady for 4 days.
Having Brady around, and seeing how Petrovsky is with children, Carrie's heartbroken that he doesn't want anymore children after his first one from long ago, plus he's been snipped.
Charlotte is pretty much Carrie's springboard this episode.
Miranda goes a little stir crazy in the cabin with Steve (and just a little too much of Steve's backside on display...)
Sam dismisses her doctor treating her for cancer after the lumpectomy after he still recommends chemo and suggests that her lifestyle and choice to not breed might have contributed to her cancer. She does her darnedest to get an appointment to see the most trendy female doctor in this field of medicine, but that popular doctor is all booked up and the receptionist doesn't care who Sam knows or who she threw a party for. Sam also befriends a nun in the same situation, but in the end, knowing Jared is what does the trick for Sam and the nun in impressing the receptionist.

I liked the episode though I have to agree with Daytripper: no chemistry at all between MB and SJP. Why on earth are they still together?
I am actually happy that the ep was about Carrie and children as opposed to the usual Charlotte and children. Samantha's doctor issues were great and touching at the same time.

"That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy your Mick story"
I like the direction Samantha's plot is going. At least this episode was just dealing with healthcare, not cancer. They don't really have time for it to become life threatening since she's already had it removed. She'll just be going through chemo, seeing doctors and having a lot to complain about, which she is good at.
What's with Steve getting naked and not Miranda? That's not fair

I too am tired of Mikhail Baryshnikov.
The Miranda storyline was very good. I'd be the same way with no television ha. But yeah Miranda didnt take anything off...
I also like how they are taking the Samantha storyline. I figured she would use Smith to get in to the place, but the nun thing was very unexpected lol.

I think I watch this show with my gf more as habit than anything else. I think if I didn't know this show was ending this season (and was curious how they will tie it all up) I would have given up on it by now. This show definitely jumped the shark for me at the end of season 4, beginning season 5 (maybe as far back as Miranda having the baby).
