Am I the only one annoyed that FX seems to keep showing the Buffy/Master fight ending? I've never seen that episode before!!

And I wish they'd also stop with the 'Buffy Lives' promos.

I think it is a good thing that they are actually promoting Buffy. I don't care if the season premire is already over. If it attracts new Buffy fans, it is worth it

Last season was my first watching Buffy. I was one of those who just dismissed all the good press and thought the show would be dumb like the movie.

I just happened to watch last season and I'm so glad that I did. I haven't missed one since and I'm loving the reruns on FX.

I thought from episode one that it was very good, but this last episode that I watched where Buffy kills the Master was one of the best episodes of television EVER! That's just my opinion. I had taped it and I couldn't believe that it was only an hour show.

It was just perfectly acted and written. I am amazed and ashamed that the show, and especially, SMG has not gotten nominated for EMMYs. Even as a newcomer, I think the show deserves it, but just as much so does SMG.

She is just so good and because she had no success in film, I just assumed she couldn't act that well. I mean, guilty by association since she is engaged to one of the worst actors in the business. But I was so wrong. I think only Edie Falco in drama is even at her level and I think Sarah has a tougher role and is more of a true lead.

Again, I think that last episode on FX was one of the best I've ever seen of any show and I can't believe this program and it's actors don't get more respect. I learned my lesson and I admit I was wrong. This is an absolutely terrific show. Now it should get some Emmys for the show, SMG, and Alyson Hannigan too while they're at it.

Dude. Wait until they show Innocence (the second part of the Judge 2 parter)--SMG is just heartbreaking. Since that episode and the Body have both failed to get her an Emmy nod, I've given up.

I saw Monday and Thursday night's FX Buffy, but not Tuesday or Wednesday FX episodes yet (I gather the season 1 ender is a good episode). The only thing of interest was that David Boreanaz got promoted in the cast credits department to full-fledged cast member in S2. I am so bummed that Ms. Calendar won't make it through S2 because she and Giles are great together.

Okay, finally caught up with all of the FX Buffy episodes from last week. I can't believe the Spike of now started the way he did on Friday's show (3rd episode of S2). Makes me wonder when Spike started getting the hots for Buffy (and I must say, what Spike and Buffy-bot did to each other so pushed the TV boundaries for frank sex talk).

The opening show for S2 was pretty good, having Buffy deal with her death and mortality from her battle with the Master was pretty good. Buffy looked better with the shorter hair style as well, though still a little baby fat around the cheeks.

Has anyone mentioned that the FX Buffy episodes will now be shown in the 6p.m.-8p.m. EST timeslot with 2 shows per night, and no rerun shown at 4 p.m.? This will start Oct. 29.

Then the normal scheduling (rerun at 4 p.m., and "new" show at 7 p.m.) will resume after Thanksgiving.

So, the re-run is 6-7 and the regular one is 7-8?

Geez... that hinders me, 6PM is DragonBall Z time, and 6:30 is usually when I make supper. Oh well, thats the benifit of having two vcrs, I guess... Crazy, that means, including Tues on UPN, 11 hours of Buffy a week! I guess I'm going to be coming down with a case of tv butt in the coming month.

While this is NOT good news for my taping/viewing schedule, boy would I have been upset if I hadn't known ahead of time! Thanks for the heads up Patman, you're a lifesaver.

Cool, at that rate, I'll have seen the first four seasons of Buffy by Thanksgiving!

Also, I noticed they're starting a poll on the Best episodes for the Thanksgiving marathon.

Does anyone know what FX is going to be showing with Buffy scheduled to be on (starting next Monday) at both 6 and 7 pm?

I am new to the show, I started with last season on the WB and now with UPN. Buffy reruns starting with season 1 and show 1 on FX were a godsend for me. But we also get the show both on Saturday and Sunday on a local WB affiliate. Saturday is season 1 and I'm told Sunday is season 3.

Well, obviously, I'm staying away from the season 3 episodes so that I can catch up on FX from the beginning and in order. I love the show so much and I haven't even heard whether FX will show the episodes in order all the way up to last season's shows or not.

So is FX going to show one season at 6 and keep going with the Buffy reruns in order at 7? I'm so confused as to whether I should watch the show if it's from seasons that I haven't caught up to yet. But what if thats how they plan to show it, maybe rotating seasons 1-3 at one time and 4 and above at another time or whatever.

Does anyone know what FX is planning to do or whether I should watch every Buffy I can or whether staying with the 7 pm show is best if they are planning to show all of the episodes? And does this change the schedule for the rebroadcast of the Buffy's at 7, which are now shown at 4pm the next day? I need those 4pm shows to tape when I miss a show.

What's a Buffy fan to do? Anyone know the details? Please let me know. Thanks.

From what I gather from the FXNetworks website, it looks like there are going to be two season 2 eps each day the week of October 29th, except for Halloween, where they are showing:

Halloween (season 2)
Teacher's Pet (season 1)
Dead Man's Party (season 3)
Fear, Itself (season 4)

After that, they go back to showing 2 eps a day at 6 and 7 e/p. None of these are reruns of the previous day's eps. They all go in order until Tuesday, Nov. 20th. Then you have the marathon days. One of those is a Buffy day, with all the voting for favorite episodes. They go back to the ORIGINAL schedule, with an ep at 7, then reshowing that ep at 4 the next day, on Monday, Nov. 26th. Let me know if I didn't make anything clear, and I'll try to make more sense.

(edit)
Weird. It looks like they end season 3 on Nov. 20th, but then start up again in the middle of season 3 on Nov. 26th and run it to the end again. Doesn't say if they start on season 4 afterwards or not. But at least we'll get the first 3 seasons all in a row.

X

From yesterday's FX Buffy -

Giles: It's a reliquary. Used to house items of religious significance, most commonly a finger or some other body part from a saint.

Buffy: Note to self: religion: freaky.

Thanks Xander!

That really makes it hard on the fans to keep up with 2 new shows a day and to have a life AND to watch the shows you like on regular network tv.

I wish that they stayed with one episode a day, well, except for the marathon. Will the episodes at 6 and 7 be rebroadcast anytime during the next day? That would making taping them a lot easier.

Will they be only showing episodes from seasons 1-3 on the marathon? Because if they show episodes from season 4 on the marathon that would kind of spoil it for me, someone trying to catch up and to do it in order. It's already hard enough to stay away from the season 3 reruns showing on Sundays...especially since I've heard that beautiful girl from Bring it On is in that season. Wow!!

For a new Buffy fan, I do often wonder why it seems no one else at school ever uses the library. Or finds it strange that 3-4 students hang out with the librarian all the time. I'm also preparing myself to be sad. I'm guessing those of you who watched it from the beginning didn't know Angel would leave and get his own show. I like him and Buffy so much that it's hard watching now knowing they will have to split up. I'm even starting to get to like Cordelia. Xander's jokes seem to be a bit more annoying in season 2...maybe he just does it too often. Giles kind of snapped at him in a show I just saw. Willow is the best! I love her. And you kind of get the sense Alyson Hannigan is just as nice. Oh and I'm also going to be sad when Ms. Calendar leaves or dies. She's really hot and her and Giles make a great couple.

This is a great show! Do the Buffy fans from the beginning think the show is too crowded now? I sure like the way the early episodes revolve around Buffy, Willow, Giles, and Xander...with Cordelia and Angel sort of coming and going at the right times. It sure seems like they added a lot of permanent characters on the show and I'm TOTALLY not ready to see Willow go Lesbian. Life is not fair!!! Xander should have made damned sure Willow stayed a woman by falling for her in season 2 or 3. Xander, what were you thinking? You could have been her first and only...

But then we wouldn't get great lines from Willow being a lesbian and I think Xander did just fine with what he ended up with

Jase, no problem! The marathon episodes are going to be whatever the fans vote for on the website. I'm not sure how licensing works, so I don't know if they can show seasons 4 and 5. I assume they can show 4 since they are showing "Fear, Itself" October 31st, but I don't know about the other season. Once I see which eps got voted for, I can tell you which ones to avoid if you want.

(edit)
Oh, and as far as I can tell, when they switch to the "two new eps a day" format, they aren't replaying them the next day. Tell me about it! I'm thinking about getting a Tivo cause I'm sick of changing tapes all the time!
