Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I'm surprised they'd do that before the Olympics... but I guess they're desperate.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Last year I signed up for promotion giving me Peacock for $2.99/month for a year. It runs out this month, but I just got an email from them saying they're extending the promotion for another two months. I'm sure it's just a ploy to keep subscriber numbers up during the Olympics, but I'll take it.

I was on $19.99 for one year, and it ends this month. No promotion has been offered to me yet, so I'll probably cancel

Yeah, I got the same deal a year ago and the year is almost up. Looks like it'll renew for $60 on 6/29. $5 a month is still worth it to me, plus the yearly sub with ads goes up to $80 in July.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I just got an email offer for Peacock of $4.99 per month for four months. The email said it expires on the 6th so I'll likely take advantage of it.

It'll be the plan with ads, though.

Peacock has the worst ad-breaks out of all the streamers, IMO.

Peacock keeps the ad free as an add-on. There is no actual ad-free plan. So you can just add the Plus option under your account.

Three weeks before the Olympics, I cancelled Peacock. Waited for it to end then signed up again with the pre-Olympics promotion. $20 for the year, then I pay $6 a month for no ads.

Ohhhhh no, Hulu by far has the longest and most frequent breaks. Peacock averages 60 seconds.

Then that must have changed, because when I did my little comparison on both of those ad-based plans Peacock was garbage with those long ass ad breaks.,

promo code "PEAPDH25CUT" for 50% off an annual Premium subscription ($39.99 instead of $79.99). Not sure when it expires.

New and returning customers only. Either sign up with a new email or maybe wait and see what they have for Black Friday this year.

Do they make you wait 6 months or whatever after cancellation to renew with a deal?

Just use a different email address. I'm currently using an alternate address on my subscription that expires this month.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I didn't test here, I just swap back and forth between my wife's and my email. But, if you have Gmail, you can put a period anywhere before the @ and you will get those emails to your inbox, but the system will think it's a different email. Or, you can also add "+" sign and any word at the end of your email address (before @) and get those emails too. blah+peacock1@ etc. Then just change the # every year. Haven't seen that not work somewhere yet. I do it for Sam's club every year.

Hmmm....I was able to get the $20 deal with my current account still active - now extended out until November 2025.
