Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Tired the code and since we already have an existing promotion it wouldn't apply. Either as you stated only for new accounts or maybe would work on existing account without an existing promotion applied.

Gonna try that code next week when my current promo ends. I really only use this for the occasional Universal new movie, or WWE PPV's How does add supported work on live events like PPV's? Do they just cut in wherever for ads?

Received an offer for a year of Peacock for $19.99 using the code SUMMEROFPEACOCK. Kinda tempting.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I saw the same deal and yeah it's "Peacock Premium" which means with ads. I mean it's like 100 bucks a year for "Peacock Premium Plus" and I'm not sure I've ever seen a deal for it either.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

For me it might be worth it for the times there’s a Universal movie on there that I want to watch. Since the only ads during those are before the movie. That or once in a while a WWE event or documentary.

I was thinking about it too. $20 for a whole year isn't too shabby. I guess I'll see what they offer. Even if just a few things might be worth it.

Worth it just for Poker Face, Mrs. Davis and Cocaine Bear!

I'll just mention that if you know what Pi-hole is, it's 100% effective at blocking Peacock ads.

I thought this was a thread about Peacock TV?

Isn't there a thread about deals at the top of the page?

That's the boat that I'm in. Surprisingly, Peacock is among my most used streaming services. I will probably keep it after the cut off date, especially since my girlfriend said she'd go in halfsies for it.
I just got an email basically confirming that. I've been spending the additional $5 a month to get Peacock ad free, and they let me extend that for an additional three months.

I mean it’s a deal relating to Peacock. Don’t really see the problem.

So you don’t think talking about ways to get peacock cheaper is related to Peacock TV?

Not familiar with Mrs. Davis but I've wanted to check out Poker Face. Saw CB in the theater but I could always watch it again. You sold me.

Does that $20 deal give access to the 4K content.

Mrs Davis is a batshit crazy show about a modern day Templar nun battling against a ubiquitous AI. Created by Damon Lindeloff of LOST, The Leftovers and Watchmen. It’s bonkers but kinda great as well.

i'll have to check out Mrs. Davis, and do want to see cocaine bear. It's funny because I get Peacock for free with Xfinity, but it's the streaming service I watch least.

they do get stuff that I want to see occasionally, such as M3GAN, but I think since it is "free" I am less motivated to take advantage of it.

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

I guess there’s no word on when that 19.99 promo ends.

If you have an account and it doesn’t work it looks like you can create a new account and apply it.

Would rather wait until the end of June but not if the promo expires before then.

This article says it ends on June 12th

Re: Peacock -- NBC Universal streaming service

Yeah, I had to create another account because a while ago I had the free version of Peacock.

If it was me, I would get the deal first week of June just to be sure.

I think this only works on accounts that do not have a currently active plan (i.e. new or returning customers).

Also, if you have an AMEX card check your offers for $4.99 cash back, or Bank of America card offer for $3 cash back.
This deal is still active through the first week of July

I noticed movies like M3GAN, She Said, Tar, Ticket to Paradise, and others premiere on Peacock and then leave and end up on Amazon Prime.

Yes, it's a special licensing deal.

https://www.theverge.com/2021/7/9/22...eaming-peacock

A licensing deal between Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Amazon will broaden Prime Video’s streaming library and bring anticipated titles to the service after a brief run on Peacock.

As part of a multiyear licensing deal that will begin in 2022, live-action Universal films will head exclusively to Prime Video after their earlier pay-one premieres on NBCUniversal’s own streaming service Peacock. Per the agreement, Prime Video and Amazon’s free and ad-supported streaming service IMDb TV will both snag a number of new and older Universal titles.
