Dear Member,

Thank you for being part of the Disney+ community, through Verizon. With Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Legacy included in your Verizon plan, you've been able to enjoy everything we have to offer, from blockbuster movies, to brand-new series and exclusive Originals at no additional cost.

To keep bringing you the very best in entertainment, we’re investing in the stories you love. We’re committed to bringing you the highest quality new productions, alongside fan favorites from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more.

And because you have Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Legacy through Verizon, after October 21, 2025, you will be saving even more: $24.99 per month.

If, at any point after October 21, 2025, you are no longer on a qualifying Verizon plan, the price of your Disney plan will increase to $24.99 per month.

To learn more about or manage your subscription, please visit My Verizon Online or the My Verizon app, Verizon FAQs, or contact Verizon by calling 1-800-922-0204.

We are always here to help. For any questions, please visit our Help Center for more information.

I actually talked to Verizon the other day before all this and was checking to see if I could still do the ad-free Hulu trick, but they said nope because I was grandfathered into the free plan at this point. They basically said any major plan changes, and it is gone with the wind. So, I guess they may just let people hang on to it until the ultimately make some kind of change to their plan.

That was from Disney? That sounds like almost a carbon copy of last year's email. Verizon is still free to raise the grandfathered plan price to compensate like they did last year.

Are you sure that's not just another price increase announcement?

I just got an email that my Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max commercial free bundle is going up $3 to $32.99. I didn't think it was going up, but I missed it in the original article posted

Couldn't remember which thread it was being discussed but the new 4k of Tron made from the new 8k scan is on D+. Looks damn good.

Re: Disney+ streaming service

Okay, color me confused.

I had Hulu with ads, I had the 3-year Disney+ deal, then I did the whole switch for Hulu with ads and the Disney+ with no ads as an add-on. Looks like the price for that is going up and it is what it is?

But the other thing is I got a new card after losing my wallet and I entered that as payment. But ever since then, Disney+ insists we ARE subscribers BUT won't let us login on TV or tablets.

Ideas?

I usually avoid this for as long as possible in situations like yours, but sounds like you might need to contact their support:

Re: Disney+ streaming service

I thought everyone bailed on Disney+ ?

https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/dis...sy-1236580606/

Disney+ added 3.8M new subscribers and Hulu added 8.6M new subscribers at the end of the 2025 fiscal year

Apparently the new ESPN, Hulu and Disney+ bundle helped

What also contributed to the Disney+ and Hulu growth: On Aug. 21, ESPN launched ESPN Unlimited, a streaming that for the first time includes everything from ESPN’s networks and services. Disney is offering an introductory bundle with Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited for $29.99/month for the first 12 months — the same price as the standalone version of ESPN Unlimited. Disney CEO Bob Iger said on the company’s earnings call Thursday that 80% of ESPN Unlimited customers took the three-way bundle, which isn’t surprising given the sizable discount of the promo offer.

with the caveat that there were cancellations due to the Kimmel controversy, but it balanced out in the black

Some analysts had expected Disney+ sub growth to flatline in the quarter, after a wave of consumers threatened to cancel their subscriptions because of ABC’s decision to
briefly suspend Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show in September over his on-air comments about “the MAGA gang” trying to score political points from Charlie Kirk’s murder. In addition, some conservatives said they dropped Disney’s streaming services in protest of Kimmel’s remarks. While cancellation rates for Disney+ and Hulu doubled in September vs. the prior two months, sign-ups also increased for both services, according to independent measurement firm Antenna.

I'm sure a lot of people went right back when Disney caved, which was to be expected.

Wow. I didn’t realize the quality of the ad-tier stream was so surprisingly bad. I unfortunately bit on the $4.99 BF deal, but at least it was only for a month.

Disney perks has a 12 days of perks going on.
So far it's a sweepstakes, and get $20 if you buy $100 Nordstrom giftcard.

They are going to have some kind of discount/perk on Marvel Unlimited later on, though I already signed up with the cyber25 deal.

Re: Disney+ streaming service

I got in on the original 3-year plan.

Then I got the cheap ad-free add-on with Hulu, effectively grandfathered in at a great rate. And thankfully, much of Hulu is also covered with our T-Mobile package.

Got this email today. Looks like this grandfathered subscriber is being taken out behind the shed unless I make a more-expensive change.

Lame.

Continue Access to Disney+ by Switching to the Disney+, Hulu Bundle

As a valued annual subscriber to Hulu with a monthly subscription to the Disney+ Add-on, we wanted to let you know that starting on December 9, 2025, you may want to switch to a Disney Bundle if you want to retain access to Disney+.

Your current subscription to the Disney+ Add-on will expire on your first monthly billing cycle on or after December 9, 2025.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope you'll take the opportunity to switch to a Bundle to retain access to all the content you love from Hulu and Disney+.

Explore all of our plan options to find the one that best fits your viewing needs, or to cancel, visit your Account page.

We are always here to help. For any questions, please visit our Help Center for more information.

Thanks for watching,
The Hulu Team

In theory, thanks to all the years it's been free from Verizon, I still have almost a full year on that original 3yr D+ promo.

I was on that same grandfathered add-on, but then they raised the price by $5 during the October price hike, so I dumped it. Looks like that was the writing on the wall with the discontinuation of it now.

Instead, I have the Disney+/Hulu bundle (with ads) now, free through my Spectrum TV subscription (Spectrum is bundled through my condo). Pihole does a pretty good job of blocking ads on Disney+. If there's ever a time that I want to binge Hulu content, I'll spring for the $9/month ad-free add-on and then cancel it when I'm done.

Is that with or without ads and is that for both? We have Hulu with ads but Disney+ without.

Same
but now I have an issue after getting the Hulu plus D+ $5 with ads deal.

I had to create a new email to do it so I used my main email and did the thing where you put a period in the middle somewhere
So who.tony @gmail.com
So now I have my original 3 year plan still going and another D+/Hulu with adds account.
I was hoping, expecting to be able to connect that Hulu deal to the first D+ account but I can't figure out if that is something I can do.
For me to be able to watch Hulu programming I have to switch to the other account then back to My D+ without ads to watch D+

Anyone have thoughts on this?

You can't do that. Use the separate Hulu and Disney+ apps. Sign into the Hulu app with your "new" email. Sign into the Disney+ app with your original email. Use the Hulu app for watching Hulu content. Use the Disney+ app for viewing Disney+ content.

Am I missing something . . . I apparently have to order it right now? (It says good through 2/26, but no way to stash it in my Subway app. It goes right to a screen trying to get me to order now.)

Re: Disney+ streaming service

Our yearly price for Disney+ (in Canada) was going to increase by a lot, so we jumped on a Black Friday deal for the ad supported tier at only $3.99 per month for a year, that will kick in on January 1st. How bad and intrusive are the ads? We have the ad supported tier of Netflix and I don't find them to be too bad or intrusive (and it's much cheaper). I'm just not sure what I'm in for with Disney+ come January, we've always had the ad free tier since they first started.
