I tried watching Mandalorian on the PS4 and there is no 5.1 playback Watched it on the Apple TV and full 5.1 and everything. Looks like Sony will have to fix that from their end.

So the Kids mode is G-rated stuff only. Not a problem, but it means I can't set it up in my office and stream the Lady & The Tramp remake since it is rated PG.
Seems like there should be a G & PG rated setting.

Edit : Wreck It Ralph is PG and is on the Kids side. Why isn't Lady & the Tramp remake streaming then?

I'm watching episode 1 of The Imagineering story. It's one of the new D+ original shows. This is a terrific documentary on the history of Disneyland. Some of the footage is amazing.

Episode 1 is 68 minutes long.

Re: Future Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+ Discussion Thread - news, rumors, etc.

I signed up for the 30 day free trial today. There are significant gaps in their current available titles:

Solo and The Last Jedi are missing from the SW movie collection

Toy Story 4 and The Incredibles 2 aren't in the Pixar collection

Only 16 of the 22 Marvel movies are available

Does anyone know if they are going to make their entire catalog available online or not? If not I won't be staying past the 30 day trial.

All of those have other license deals. They will eventually get to Disney+ when the rights elsewhere expire.

Gummi Bears. Theme song alone is worth the watch.

I haven't seen that show in over 30 years and still know the lyrics.

I'll admit there's so much content that I can't decide on what to watch... some of it is out of order, but that will be corrected. Overwhelmed! Lots of Christmas stuff, too.

I kind of feel it would've been better if something like this and the Goldblum show were released in full.

So since The Last Jedi is currently on Netflix they can't have it in their streaming service, etc? I guess that makes sense, but it's disappointing in the short term.

As he said ^^ Disney still has titles currently licensed out to Netflix and other providers. Once those deals expire, they will come to D+

I did some searching and more titles are coming anywhere from 1 month to 1 1/2 years from now. So, it's a slow rollout until this becomes the complete one stop Disney VOD service.

It's coming to Disney Plus on December 26th.

No they can't carry it simultaneously with Netflix because Netflix has the exclusive rights for now.

Some titles like Saving Mr. Banks is non-exclusive and D+ also carries it along with Netflix. But once Netflix's rights expire, it's leaving Netflix.

Pretty cool, The Black Hole has the overture at the beginning. Hadn't heard that in years.

Re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch

Streamed a few simpsons episodes and boy meets world. Had no issues. The Jeff Goldblum show was okay. Looking forward to the ice cream episode though.

Going to hope the aspect ratio for simpsons gets fixed . Weird how BMW has original Aspect Ratio but Simpsons doesn't lol.

Also there should be a continue watching the way Netflix tracks watching progress. I just went back to BMW and it sent me back to the first episode .

This is the only gripe I have now that everything is working correctly.

Just started The Mandalorian. It has started well.

Re: Disney+ streaming service - November 12, 2019 launch

There was a continue watching section last night. But for some reason it disappeared today.

I agree with what someone mentioned earlier that there should be a "Coming soon" section to help alleviate confusion why X title isn't on Disney + yet.

Also, if you've never seen it, highly recommend watching the Empire of Dreams documentary. It's a 2 1/2 hour film on the complete history of Star Wars. It originally aired 15 years ago on A&E and is on one of the Star Wars DVD sets, but it's an awesome film.

It looks like the glitches on Roku are working themselves out now. The banner with the logos are now taking you to their respective sections properly.

Rogue One had an error message earlier and now it's playing properly.

It’s not any different than Marvel licensing out their characters before they know what the future held. They gave up rights to their own stuff for the short term paycheck. It just depends on the terms they agreed to ... exclusivity, exclusivity for a window, in perpetuity, etc.

Call me a little cynical ... but if anybody (customers or company) expected this to go off without a hitch, they are crazy. I’m amazed it is going as well as it is, but that comes down to a company being prepared to handle the glitches rather than being delusional and thinking it will be fine. Then again, Disney usually sets a high bar for customer experiences.

Nothing cynical about it, and like most good companies that do this sort if thing, they resolved the majority of their issues in a few hours.

I don't think anybody is surprised. This is what is expected when something "launches".

I agree. The documentary series would probably play better released all at once.

I get why they did it for the new scripted shows.

I'm looking forward to the 2nd episode of The Imagineering story. It's covering Disney World and the construction of Tokyo Disneyland. This is stuff that has never been covered in documentary form.

and they will probably cover Hong Kong, Paris and Shanghai Disneyland as well.
